There are seven key chakra points on our body. Each just as important as the next. The alignment of these chakra's are what keep us balanced. Meditation is the focus of each chakra. This is a way for us to become one with the Universe, and feel love, peace, joy and relaxation. I'm a visual person, so these video's help me stay focused on each color point. I spent the Christmas holiday with my family. My entire family meets at my grandparent’s home out of town every year for this festivity.
My grandmother passed away March 8th of last year at the age of 91. She was the matriarch of the family. Her passing was such a great loss for me, she was my root. I didn’t know how to handle these feelings I had. I also found myself blaming certain family members for things that were really beyond their control regarding this issue. Overtime, I somehow disconnected from my family and preoccupied myself with my business. I really didn’t care to go to my Grandparent’s home for Christmas last year because Grandma was missing. I only went because it was a family tradition, somewhat of an obligation, but mainly to appease my mother. It was strange to be in the house and not have Grandma around. I enjoyed myself for the most part. However, still felt very distant from everyone. The void still remained.
When I returned, I struggled with the big gaping whole in my heart and my soul. So I cried out to God to help me heal this wound. The more I cried out to God for help, the more he filled my spirit with His LOVE and dried off all my tears. Literally! Then one day, many months later, God told me to take out a picture I had in my family photo album of me and my grandmother so that I could frame it. I immediately went to the bookshelf, grabbed the photo album and began looking for that photo. But to my surprise, as I was flipping the pages I began to reminisce about the family. All of a sudden, I felt an enormous amount of love for my family: grandfather, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. This feeling was so profound, that I started crying really hard and I genuinely missed them all. It was like God flushed out any negative feelings I had about the situation and replaced those feelings with His Love. It was truly a cathartic experience!
The reason why I’m sharing this story with you is because this Christmas was quite different from the last. I was so excited, I couldn’t wait to get there and hug everyone. It was the same wonderful feeling I had when Grandma was here. Well, needless to say, there was so much harmony in that house. It was amazing!
Love can and will permeate a room or house if you let it. I could feel the love I felt in my spirit reciprocated. When you treat a person with love, respect and acceptance… You can easily bring out the best in another person by doing this one simple act. The other person becomes a reflection of your being. Another genuine lesson I learned was that “Forgiveness IS the greatest LOVE of all”.
I was thinking about Walt Disney tonight and this song immediately came to mind. There is one thing we all neglect to do when we become grown-up's and that is NURTURE our inner-child. Walt Disney knew this was the secret to eternal youth. I have such great love and respect for Walt Disney! He wanted to create an environment for everyone young and old to dream, fantasize, be creative. A place where we could leave the real World behind and just be!
We can ALL learn something from this great man... He too had a dream and that was Disneyland. No bank would approve his plans to build this great place only he envisioned, they told him his idea would fail and insinuated he was crazy. But that didn't stop him! He and his brother Roy Disney mortgaged their homes to use as capital to begin building this Wonderful place. Thank goodness for his tenacity! Because all of US around the World would not have his inspirational movies to lift us up when we need them or Disneyland to help US re-discover our inner-child.
The moral of this story: If you have a vision, a passion that ONLY you understand... it's okay! Pursue your vision with all your heart. Sure at first people will think you're crazy because you are doing something they just simply do not understand. As long as you are TRUE to yourself and are following YOUR dreams that IS all that matters. The rest of the people will come around eventually. In fact, they will probably think, "why didn't I think of that?" or later after you have become a success they will say, "I always knew you could do it". But that is NOT for you to worry about when you are giving birth to your dreams! I have a plaque in my office that reads, "LIVE YOUR DREAMS". So GO, have at it ;)

I have not yet written about the DICTATORSHIP military regime of Pakistani's President Musharraf because I have literally been praying for the liberation of the Pakistani people and their ONLY hope for freedom and justice was Benazir Bhutto! She was a strong woman, with absolutely NO FEAR, defiantly demanding change! She had the courage to outwardly voice her discontent with the status quo. She represented PEACE and HOPE for that entire region! I have an enormous amount of respect for this woman. I can not believe that she is gone! To you Benazir, I say that YOUR spirit will be truly missed! Your presence has left a significant impact on Humanity!
The democratic elections were right around the corner and supposed to be held on January 8, 2008. I truly feel that this assassination was contrived by President Musharraf. This man recently step down as military chief to appease the upheaval in Pakistan and was replaced by his best comrade. How convenient! I also believe that the Bush administration has some involvement as well due to their undying loyalty to President Musharraf! Bush and Musharraf are blaming the Al-Qaeda terrorists. But NOW I'm actually left wondering if all of the above I just mentioned are connected?!?! My grandmother used to always say, "Tell me who your friends are and I'll tell you who you are".
The REAL terrorist are the dictators! Question- Were the Dictator's of the World in COLLUSION to use her as an example of the consequences of disobedience?!?! Just think about this for a moment: The bullets came from a sniper weapon, this person HAD to be isolated from the crowd with her in perfect sight to make this happen. The suicide bomber was simply used as a distraction from the TRUTH! If the suicide bomber had revealed his weapon for a second (as the media would like US to think) the CROWD would have jump him to protect her. One bullet pierced the back of her neck and the other went thru the back of her shoulder. The suicide bomber was in the front of her SUV. It's so friggin obvious!! WHY isn't there an International investigation?? Now, the U.S. Republican candidates are using "The war on TERROR and illegals" to continue to impose fear on us. Hhhmm... Remember - FEAR is another form of OPPRESSION!

President Pervez Musharraf came to power in 1999 by effecting a military coup d'etat and has suspended the constitution of Pakistan twice; since then, he has been actively supported (through military and monetary aid) by western countries including the United States. He took power in October 12, 1999, ousting Nawaz Sharif, the elected Prime Minister, dismissed the national and provincial legislative assemblies, assumed the title of Chief Executive and became Pakistan's de facto head of government, thereby becoming the fourth Army chief of Pakistan to have assumed executive control. Later in 2001, Musharraf appointed himself to the office of President of Pakistan.
You know, I have always loved this song from the moment of its release. However, after my personal spiritual transformation occurred I began to hear this song very differently. I used to associate the love referred to in this song to whomever I had a crush on at the time. But NOW when I hear this song I think of my relationship with God. It's true... I have NEVER known love like this before UNTIL now! Thank you God for always loving me. Thank you God for always believing in me. Thank you God for never giving up on me. But most importantly, Thank you God for always being there for me and taking care of ALL of my needs.

The following is a beautifully written parable that I have borrowed from the book "Fire In The Soul":
Once upon a time, a long long time ago, before even Grandfather Sky had given birth to the stars, there was only One Being. One pure consciousness of love resting in the completeness of its own untold Stories and mute Songs unsung.
Then, one day, for reasons no one remembers, if in fact anyone ever knew, the One became restless. Some say It decided to play a cosmic game of hide and seek, splitting its Light into tiny sparks, each with the full potential of the Whole. In this way the One could know itself and grow itself.
So each spark was clothed in a costume of flesh and its Light and wisdom hidden deep within its heart. The challenge of the game was for all parts of the the Whole to discover their way back Home again having lived all the Stories and sung all the Songs that would make them wise and compassionate co-creators and companions to the One.
The fledgling souls took many roads Home. Each Way had its own Story and each soul responded to that Story with the gift of free will, embroidering new stories on the dream-tapestry of the One Great Dreamer. And the sun rose and the the sun set. The tides came in and the tides went out. New flesh was born and old flesh went back to the earth. And the One saw new stories grow in the Theater of the Many.
Some of these stories led closer to Home. These were the ones in which fear was conquered by love. Some of these stories led down blind alleys. These were the ones in which love was hidden by fear. The plays were long and the distractions many. One by one most souls forgot that they were on a journey at all. They fell asleep to the first stories that the One had left as eternal roadmaps and guides so that each soul could find its way back Home
Believing that they were alone and separate these lost souls wandered in a strange land dominated by the illusion that death was real and that love was as transitory as a shadow. Some sought solace in money, others in power. Some found it in food or drugs or alcohol or anger or television or possessions, gossip or judgment or a jealous god who whispered lies. You are special, you are saved, there is only one way Home and this is it.
In its love and mercy for its lost parts of itself the One sent alarm bells out into the Universe to wake its sparks up from their dreams of fear and to guide them back into paths of love and longing for reunion with the Great Cosmic Beloved. These wake-up calls of pain roused the souls from their sleep of forgetfulness.
And their cries for help were heard by their brothers and sisters throughout the Universe. Seen and unseen helpers came whenever they were drawn by the intent, the powerful pull of will of any soul who appealed to the Source with a true longing for reunion, forgiveness and love. And they helped those souls to become free from the bondage of limiting beliefs and past unloving or ignorant actions so that they could find safe passage Home.
They will give you safe passage too, if you ask with faith, even the size of a mustard seed, and if you are patient and willing to listen to the directions of the Universe, even if they are not what you wanted to hear. Thy will, not mine, be done --- this is the understanding that will bring you Home.
"Fire in the Soul" is a great book written by Joan Borysenko, Ph.D. back in 1993. I randomly chose to read this book out of list of books given by my English 101 Professor for a book report. It's said that there is NO such thing as coincidence. I truly believe that. Because after only reading the preface, and without even knowing, it was precisely the book/message I needed to read at that time. Here is a little excerpt taken directly from the book. Enjoy! :)

As I mentioned in one of my previous spiritual weekend post, I have my own personal relationship with God. However, I must add that it wasn't easy for me to reach this level of Nirvana. I was just as stubborn as the next person thinking I had everything under control. Well, guess what I discovered the HARD way, that the only thing I have absolute control over is MYSELF. Little ole me! It was about 6 years ago when my personal change ocurred and I let go. The KEY word here is 'personal'. This was not a church or a cult thing. It was my own personal experience with my creator. I can honestly say from true experience that I AM grateful for this transformation. I can be surrounded by chaos and still have inner peace. That is the beauty of knowing God. He's not some mysterious force outside of you. If God is energy and the source of all things and you are also energy, then that would mean that you are a part of Him, right?
You know after I had my experience, I had family members and friends try to get me to try this religion or that spiritual group etc. I would tell them that I have never belonged to any group why would I want to start now. Then they tried the alternative and tell me that my thinking was all wrong. I would tell them it's not a way of thinking. Geez!
The point I'm trying to make from my friends and family experience is that the ONE thing I am absolutely secure in and that nobody can take away from me is God's love for me and my love for God. My experience is mine alone and nobody can ever ever change that...

I realized that I was so focused on China, Russia, Iran, Sudan and Myanmar. That I had to touch on the topic of North Korea. It is ALSO controlled by a Dictatorship military regime! I'm exposing you to North Korea NOT because I feel they are a threat, this country has completely isolated itself from the world. I am however, concerned about North Korean human rights abuses! PLUS, North Korea hates America (no surprise) and has brainwashed their people to feel the same, literally. You'll see how in these video's.
North Korea is a single-party state with a Stalinist, authoritarian, and totalitarian regime. Multiple international human rights organizations, including Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, accuse North Korea of having one of the worst human rights records of any nation, with severe restrictions on political and economic freedoms.
Lisa Ling reported, "North Korea has concentration camps to strike fear into the hearts of the people! Camps can be the size of small cities. Camps which house the families of the accused, keep people loyal to the regime. When somebody tries to defect from the country, their family often faces death or imprisonment."
Lisa Ling courageously agreed to do this undercover documentary for National Geographic earlier this year. I went directly to YouTube hoping to find the vids. I did. And I know it's in the world's interest to prevent them from doing so. I believe that the Iranian -- if Iran had a nuclear weapon, it would be a dangerous threat to world peace. [No Mr. President, you have already done a good job at preventing WORLD PEACE.]
But this -- we got a leader in Iran who has announced that he wants to destroy Israel. So I've told people that if you're interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like you ought to be interested in preventing them from have the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon.[doesn't this sound like Iraq and weapons of mass destruction case WMD?] I take the threat of Iran with a nuclear weapon very seriously. [What about Pakistan's nuclear threat? Oh that's right Mr. President, Musharraf is one of your comrades] And we'll continue to work with all nations about the seriousness of this threat. Plus we'll continue working the financial measures that we're in the process of doing. In other words, I think -- the whole strategy is, is that at some point in time, leaders or responsible folks inside of Iran may get tired of isolation and say, this isn't worth it. And to me, it's worth the effort to keep the pressure on this government.

Yeah Okay... Well with all that being said, President Bush, it would be nice if your actions reflected even an ounce of your words obviously written by your paid staff member! The United States is HEMORRHAGING President Bush and all "We The People" have been hearing you confidently say is that this country is doing GREAT... everything is GREAT! You are supposed to be OUR President/Leader too and NOT just a select few!!! Shame on you Mr. President!

"The Promise" video is a Danbury High School student documentary about genocide in the Darfur region of Sudan. It was created to raise awareness about the genocide and motivate action. Since 2003, it is estimated that over 300,000 people have been killed in Sudan, with millions more displaced from their homes and at risk of starvation. The name "The Promise" is a reminder of the promise the United Nations and the world made in 1945 to hold people accountable for crimes against humanity. With the backdrop of the Holocaust, narration, images and quotations, the focus is on the plight of the children of Darfur. The world was promised "never again". The children and people of Darfur are waiting.

The bullet that shattered Salim Adam's leg and the gun that fired it were almost certainly manufactured in China. The militiaman who pulled the trigger was likely compensated with revenues from Chinese oil purchases, which fund a majority of Khartoum's military actions. And the reason no help has come to Darfur is, in large part, because China has blocked every attempt to deploy a United Nations peacekeeping force. Though estimates vary, most data suggest that the death toll in Darfur has reached around 450,000, and is still rising.
By the time the world awakened to the slaughter here, China was already funneling money into Khartoum. Beijing's investments in Sudan now total around $4 billion. With a 40% stake each in the Greater Nile Petroleum Operating Co. and Petrodar, state-owned China National Petroleum Corp. owns the largest shares of both of Sudan's national oil consortia. And in 2005, Beijing purchased more than half of Sudan's oil exports. China now relies on Khartoum for about one-tenth of its massive oil needs, placing Sudan just behind Saudi Arabia and Iran as China's largest energy supplier by volume.
It is an unholy alliance. The U.N. imposed an arms embargo when it became apparent that the Government of Sudan's military actions in Darfur were overwhelmingly directed against helpless civilians. And yet China continues to supply Khartoum with assault helicopters, armored vehicles and small arms. Last August, Beijing sold 212 military trucks to Khartoum. Chinese oil company airstrips in southern Sudan have been used by government forces to conduct bombing raids on villages and hospitals. A U.N. investigation conducted this year determined that the vast majority of weaponry used to attack civilians across Darfur is of Chinese origin.
Thanks to this relationship, Sudan has purchased the best protection in the world: a veto-wielding member on the U.N. Security Council willing to ensure that Khartoum's campaign of human destruction in Darfur can continue.

LONDON - China is fast becoming a model business partner for the Middle East.
Fresh from approving its biggest ever oil refinery joint venture with Kuwait's national oil company, worth $5.5 billion, Chinese oil company Sinopec (nyse: SHI - news - people ) announced on Monday a $2 billion contract to develop the Yadavaran oil field in south-west Iran.
The seven-year project aims to produce 85,000 barrels a day for the first four years, later hiking the output to 185,000 barrels a day. Iranian oil minister Gholamhossein Nozari said on Monday that Sinopec's profit margin had been finalized at 14.98%, whereas the Chinese company had previously requested 15%.
But even for a model customer like China, which does not preach politics to its trading partners, investing in Iran will be a challenge.
China relies on the Middle East for over half its total oil imports, and the Institute for the Analysis of Global Security has predicted this share will rise to 70% by 2015.
China is attempting to acquire overseas assets in the mining and metals industry. I read this article in The Wall Street Journal this weekend that was another indication of China's attempt at becoming the NEW Super Power!
BEIJING- Chinese companies are making takeover bids for mining companies in Australia and Canada, highlighting the country's growing demand for resources amid a separate takeover battle that could yield the industry's bigger merger ever.
Executives in China's steel industry and other sectors have been weighing possible options in response to the BHP move. One possible step, Chinese analyst say, is to step up China's overseas acquisitions efforts, to lock up as much as possible the world's relatively few remaining deposits of mineral and other resources.

I'd like to explain why I am exposing you to many different teachings. You see my mom was raised Catholic and always felt like she was either going to heaven or hell no in between. So she decided NOT to baptise me and to allow me to choose what I wanted when I felt I was ready for spirituality. She figured Jesus didn't get baptised until he was 30 years old so it couldn't be a sin. My mom however did raise me with a strong foundation of love, values and principles. I am grateful to my mom for making this decision on my behalf...
So in order to find myself I began my quest at an early age studying all religions, philosophy and quasi spiritual teachings. I have the utmost respect for them all. The funny thing is that they all teach you the same thing, perhaps in different ways. But the central theme or core if you will are love, respect, compassion and self awareness. I am happy to say that I have now grown into my own spiritual awareness and I do have my own personal relationship with God. However, my journey does not end there... the learning is infinite!
That in itself is what I hope to accomplish with this blog, helping others achieve a higher level of awareness, self discovery and love for oneself and all things. So with all this being said, allow your spiritual journey to begin now, not tomorrow, or the next day. Because today is all you have now and tomorrow is not guaranteed.
I must add that I am not in any way trying to impose anything on you. You are free to accept or reject anything you are watching or reading. However, your spirit will be the one to determine what is TRUTH. Once that connection occurs, it will become a nagging feeling to want to learn more and grow as a result.

The recent crisis in Burma that started in August with the Burmese government raising fuel prices from 100 to 500 percent happened at a time when world oil prices were $72 per barrel. By the end of November light sweet crude was at $99 per barrel and seemed likely to rise higher. However the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank’s interest rate cuts and a sufficient supply of oil have resulted in a slight price fall this past week.
In foreign investments, an Associated Press article published on November 26 states that foreign investment in Burma’s oil and gas sector reached $470 million in 2006-2007, accounting for more than 60 percent of total investment. Of this, $240 million was from the United Kingdom and $160 million from Singapore and Russia, with South Korea also maintaining large investments in this sector. These figures show that Burma is fast becoming a country dependent on and dominated by foreign investors (corporations) in spite of the policies of the junta which are often described as “isolationist.”
Many Western countries either ban or discourage investment in Myanmar as a way of pressuring its ruling junta, which is shunned for its poor human rights record and failure to hand over power to a democratically elected government!

China, Thailand and India have not substantially changed their economic dealings with the Burmese military, buying electricity, natural gas, oil and timber worth an estimated $2 billion a year.

I've received several emails from HPer's asking what mononoke means and why I chose this screen name. Princess Mononoke is the title of one of my all time favorite movies and my alter ego. This is one of Hayao Miyazaki's anime productions. It is a movie about corruption and greed. It portrays the pursuit of capitalism at all cost, a battle between good and evil, light and darkness. I highly recommend this movie to people of all ages. Enjoy the video!

I was visiting with my mom today and she was listening to her favorite Doo Wop songs. One of the songs in particular made me think of our current situation; The Lion Sleeps Tonight.
I've heard this song a million times throughout my lifetime. In fact, it is one of my favorites. When I hear this song it usually brings back cherished childhood memories. However, this time while singing and listening to the lyrics I received a different message. This time "The Lion" represented the strength of humanity, truth and justice.
There is so much disparity in the World and we are ALL desperate for change! Nevertheless, WE must all hold on to hope and keep believing that "The Lion" will soon wake up and HIS light will dispel the darkness that shrouds us today.
