This is one powerful message given by Dr. Jamal Bryant that I need to share with all of you. I am so tripping out, I'm beside myself. I have typed a transcript of only five minutes for all of my international readers who need to use Babel Fish to translate. All of you young people are saying to me that I don't want no preacher preaching to me who ain't never been through nothing. But I want a preacher who knows what it feels like to have some setbacks and to have some disappointments. After Peter failed, he was able to raise a person from the dead. After Peter failed, that's when he escapes from jail. After Peter failed, that's when Jesus said if you love me then feed my sheep. But I want to help somebody, as bad as Peter failed Jesus NEVER lost faith in Peter. You don't believe me. He never gave up on Peter. You need to say Jesus NEVER gave up on me. Even when your family gave up on you, even when your friends gave on you Jesus NEVER gave up on you.
Jesus said when YOU ARE converted. That's the language of FAITH. People who don't have FAITH say IF. People who have FAITH say WHEN. People who have FAITH I want you to declare WHEN. This is not arrogance, this is confidence. You need to say, WHEN I'm a millionaire, WHEN I'm driving in the Lexus, Beemer and the Benz, WHEN I build my house from the ground up, WHEN I graduate Magna Cum Laude , WHEN I'm able to take care of my ENTIRE family.
God gives me the desires of my HEART. WHEN God puts you in a place of FAITH, never say I wonder IF it's going to happen. But does anybody here got a DREAM that the LORD has been showing you? Does anybody here got a VISION of what you think God is going to do in your life? I want you to just declare WHEN it's going to happen? Oh that's a whole lot different than IF it's going to happen. Did you hear what I just said. You got to just ask God I already trust you, I just want to know WHEN. God said it's just a matter of time. If your FAITHFUL over a few things, I'm about to make you RULER!
I want to tell somebody, I hope you fail. Because failure is going to put me in good company. Winston Churchill failed the sixth grade and was never elected to office until he was 62 years old. Albert Einstein could not speak until he was 4 years old and couldn't read until he was 9 years old. Henry Ford who is owner of the Ford Motor Company was bankrupt five times before his business got off the ground. R.H. Macy was arrested by the IRS for tax evasion, but when he came of jail, he opened the Macy's department store in New York City. Michael Jordon was cut from the JV basketball team. The coach told him to take up baseball. But now Michael Jordon has got five championship rings. Anita Baker sent her demo record to every record company in America. But the record company called Arista sent her a letter that said don't quit your day job. But Anita Baker said I'm still going to give you the best that I've got. Luther Vandross was booed off the Apollo Theatre three different times. But tonight a chair is not a chair unless Luther is sitting there. Sean Puffy Combs was in Special Ed. He drove in the short bus to High School. But now Puffy is worth $300 million saying I thought I told you that we won't stop. There was a man named Jesus, they hung him high, they stretched him wide, he hung his head and then he died. But then he rose three days later. He defeated Satan and death.
I've got to close. But I can't close until I give you my testimony. You are listening to a teacher that failed the 11th grade. My own church said I wasn't going to be nothing and they said I wasn't going to go nowhere. But I'm standing tonight saying look at me! I'm a testimony. Is there anybody in here that can say through it all I LEARNED to TRUST in Jesus. I LEARNED to TRUST in God. You need to say, I failed some classes. I failed at some promises. I failed in some relationships. But tonight I won't fail to give God some praise. Tonight may be your last night, don't fail to give God some praise.
The enemy can't believe that there are people who ain't ashamed to say I failed before but this is MY YEAR to make it right. This is MY YEAR to fight sharp. This is MY YEAR to do better. Let the overcomers make some noise!
