It's A New Dawn, It's A New Day, It's A New LIFE... For Me...

Feeling Good ~ Michael Buble

Birds flying high
You know how I feel
Sun in the sky
You know how I feel
Reeds driftin' on by
You know how I feel
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
For me
And I'm feeling good

Fish in the sea
You know how I feel
River running free
You know how I feel
Blossom in the tree
You know how I feel
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
For me
And I'm feeling good

Dragonfly out in the sun you know what I mean, don't you know
Butterflies all havin' fun you know what I mean
Sleep in peace when the day is done, that's what I mean
And this old world is a new world
And a bold world
For me
Fooor me

Stars when you shine
You know how I feel
Scent of the pine
You know how I feel
Yeah freedom is mine
And I know how I feel
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
hu
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life

It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
It's a new life
For me

It's A Small World Afterall

For those of you who have never had a chance to travel to Disneyland, I would love to share this video of the entire experience that makes you feel as if you were there. I can't wait to get on this ride later today! Walt Disney had it RIGHT... It is a SMALL WORLD after all. This is a defining moment in TIME for us all. It's NOT the end of the World as others may try to cause you to believe. It is however, the end of the World as we have been living in it today.

This is OUR WAKE UP CALL for every human being to unite in love, respect and harmony. To care for everything and everyone outside of ourselves. We ALL share several common bonds such as the SAME RED BLOOD coursing through ALL of our vains, the SAME AIR we ALL must breathe, the SAME WATER we ALL must drink, but most importantly the SAME PLANET EARTH we ALL call OUR HOME! Also let us not forget that DEATH DOES NOT DISCRIMINATE and is inevitable for us ALL...

We also can NO LONGER take these LIFE essentials that WE ALL SHARE for granted anymore. Why wait until we are reminded of this fact? Do the tables need to be turned in order for you to become humbled enough to know what it feels like to need someone else's help? There is NOT enough money in the WORLD to replace the natural elements we ALL need to stay alive. AIR, WATER, EARTH are priceless and belong to EVERY living creature!

Climate change, global warming or whatever they are calling it these days is not the villain in the human experience. It is the OBVIOUS, well at least to me... TOXIC WASTE and POLLUTION are the culprits that threaten our very existence! I'll write more about my thoughts on this subject later this week. Just in time for the so-called UN Climate Summit that will be held December 7-18 in Copenhagen.

Thanks ru42 for doing a terrific job creating this video. I've taken the following from his YouTube description:
The Happiest Cruise that has ever sailed. Enjoy this trip that starts with the full clock parade and then sit on down for your trip around the WORLD. This ride has one of the most infectious songs known to man. You can't say I didn't warn you! I am the videographer and copyright holder to this video.

*********************************************************

It's a world of laughter, a world or tears
Its a world of hopes, it's a world of fear
Theres so much that we share
That it's time we're aware
It's a small world after all

It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world

There is just one moon and one golden sun
And a smile means friendship to everyone.
Though the mountains divide
And the oceans are wide
It's a small small world

It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world

My Declaration ~ by Eliza Bennett

I heard this song for the first time after watching the movie "Inkheart". I thought "Inkheart" was a really cute movie, filled with wonderful characters and a creative storyline. I was touched by this song. I hope this song encourages and gives you strength to become all that you were meant to be! ♥

My Declaration ~ by Eliza Bennett

I'm gonna be someone
I'm gonna GIVE something
I'm taking it on
I'm taking it on
It's gonna be MY LIFE
so I'm gonna LIVE each day and each night,
Taking it on
I'm taking it on

'cause I can't keep hiding
no I can't keep hiding
and I can't keep running away
So I'm gonna be stronger
and I'm gonna be better made
and I'm gonna give everything
Just to bring me back again.

I'm gonna be a BRAVER SOUL than this
I'm gonna jump at all those many chances that I've missed,
I'm gonna live my life beyond all these fears and forms of cowardice that keep leading me on.
I'm gonna SHINE OUT like a beacon in the night
I'm gonna wrap my fingers around the stars tonight
'cause I'm taking it on
'cause I'm taking it on...

No I can't keep hiding
no I can't keep hiding
no I can't keep running away
So I'm gonna be stronger
and I'm gonna be better made
and I'm gonna give everything
Just to bring me back again.
So I'm gonna be stronger
I'm gonna be understood
and I'm gonna give everything
Just to bring me back again!

'cause I can't keep hiding
no I can't keep hiding
and I can't keep running away.

Terrorism Suspected in Russia Train Crash That Killed 26 And Injured 100. The Muslim Extremist Are GUILTY OF MURDERING INNOCENT PEOPLE Worldwide!

The Wall Street Journal
Terrorism Suspected in Russia Train Crash
written by William Mauldin
Saturday November 28, 2009

MOSCOW -- Russian authorities cited terrorism as the likely cause of a train wreck between Moscow and St. Petersburg that killed at least 26 people and injured about 100.

A crater consistent with a bomb of 15 pounds of TNT was found near the damaged Nevsky Express train No. 166, which derailed late Friday between Aleshkina and Uglovka in a rural area in Northwest Russia, about 170 miles before it would have reached St. Petersburg.

The accident derailed the final three cars of the 14-car high-speed train, which was carrying 652 passengers and a crew of 30, the Russian Interior Ministry said.

Alexander Bortnikov, director of the Federal Security Service, told Russian President Dmitry Medvedev that authorities had opened a terrorism investigation. Mr. Medvedev had gathered top officials for an emergency session at his residence outside Moscow to coordinate response to the accident, which got heavy coverage on state and other media. "Everyone's nerves are at the limit," Mr. Medvedev told the officials in comments shown on state TV.

Officials said a smaller blast Saturday afternoon came from a second bomb that malfunctioned. No one was injured in that explosion, which delayed repair work for several hours.

The attack was Russia's worst outside the volatile Caucasus region since 2005 and seemed to strike a particular chord because it targeted a train popular with business executives and government officials. A senior government official, the head of the State Reserve, was among the dead, Russian news agencies reported.

While the Caucasus region has seen an upsurge in suicide and other attacks in the last year linked to Islamist separatists, the rest of Russia hasn't seen major attacks in several years. As of Saturday evening, there were no credible claims of responsibility for Friday's attack.

Suspected terrorists targeted the Nevsky Express in 2007, derailing the train but causing no deaths. Two men from the Caucasus republic of Ingushetia were charged in that case, which was originally blamed on Russian nationalists. Authorities said the mastermind, who remains at large, was an ethnic Russian follower of a Chechen terrorist.

At least 26 people died in Friday's disaster, while another 18 were unaccounted for, Russia's health and social development minister Tatyana Golikova said in a statement. Nearly 100 received medical attention in Moscow, St. Petersburg and other cities, according to Russian Railways.

Mr. Medvedev expressed his condolences to the victims and stood for a moment in silence during the meeting with officials Saturday. The families of the deceased will be paid 500,000 rubles ($16,800), while the injured will receive between 100,000 and 200,000 rubles, Russian Railways said.

Authorities are seeking several suspects in the case, including a heavyset man about 40 years old with red hair, Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev said on Vesti television.

Police expand manhunt for suspect in Thanksgiving Day shooting

Saturday November 28, 2009

Law enforcement authorities broadened their search over the weekend for the Miami man they say shot and killed four relatives in Palm Beach County during a family gathering on Thanksgiving Day, and details have surfaced that provide background into a troubled relationship with one alleged victim.

Paul Michael Merhige, 35, fatally shot his twin sisters, Carla Merhige and Lisa Knight, both 33 years old and from Miami, along with two other relatives -- Raymonde Joseph, 76, and 6-year-old Maykayla Sitton. Authorities said Lisa Knight was pregnant. He also injured two others, including Patrick Knight, Lisa Knight's husband, police said.

Police say Michael Merhige had been at the home in Jupiter, where more than a dozen relatives were celebrating the holiday. He then left and returned about 10 p.m. and began shooting.

Appearing Saturday on Good Morning America, Maykayla's father Jim Sitton recounted the incident. Sitton said the evening was coming to an end and the family was saying their goodbyes when Merhige left the front door of the home, went to his car, returned through the back door and opened fire.

``I tried to lead [Maykayla] out, because I thought it was coming from the front, and I led her right to . . .'' said a visibly shaken Sitton, before breaking into tears.

Sitton -- a South Florida photo and video journalist -- added that while he was aware that Merhige had ``past problems,'' when he was told Merhige would be at the family's Thanksgiving dinner he assumed he ``was getting better.''

``I sat two seats down from him [during dinner],'' Sitton said.

It's unclear what happened to send Merhige on the rampage, but he and Carla had previously gone to court in connection charges of domestic violence, records show.

In 1996, Carla Merhige appeared as a defendant in a case of domestic violence against her brother. An injunction was filed, and was later dismissed.

In April of 2006, court records show that Paul Michael Merhige answered to a domestic violence charge against him from his sister. Carla petitioned the court to drop that injunction a month later.

No criminal charges were filed in either case.

The manhunt for Merhige has been broadened as far as Birmingham, Michigan, where police there have issued a Be On The Lookout -- or BOLO -- alert for Merhige and his royal blue Camry, license plate W42-7JT.

Merhige may have spent time in Michigan, perhaps to seek medical treatment. At least one source who knew Merhige said he had a history of mental problems and suicide attempts.

The Prophet ~ by Kahlil Gibran

Khalil Gibran (January 6, 1883 – April 10, 1931) was a Lebanese American artist, poet, and writer. Born in the town of Bsharri in modern-day Lebanon (then part of Ottoman Syria), as a young man he emigrated with his family to the United States where he studied art and began his literary career. He is chiefly known for his 1923 book The Prophet, a series of philosophical essays written in English prose. An early example of inspirational literature, the book sold well despite a cool critical reception, and became extremely popular in 1960s counterculture. [source: wikipedia]

Excerpt From The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you, and though they are with you, and yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love, but not your thoughts.
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls, for their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward, not tarries with yesterday.

Thanksgiving Day Humor!

Happy Thanksgiving Day Everybody!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Day everybody! May your day be filled with tons of love, joy and laughter! Look around you and you will find many many things to be thankful for... the most basic is thanking God for the air that you breathe and that you are conscious.

I would like to publicly thank God first and foremost for loving me unconditionally, for never giving up on me, for always believing in me and for taking care of all of my needs. I also thank God for blessing me with a great mom, great meow's, great friends, great neighbors, a creative mind, a free spirit and a loving heart. I can't forget to thank all of my readers from all around the world for all of your love and support. You are greatly appreciated. ♥♥♥

This may be a national holiday for giving thanks, a day of reflecting. Nevertheless, we must make it a point to give thanks to God every day of our lives for even the most basic needs fullfilled daily. Here are a few examples of what we could be thankful for daily: clean running water, a toilet that flushes, electricity, a refrigerator to store food, a stove to cook, a microwave, a television, a radio, a computer, the internet, a phone to communicate with others, paved roads, traffic lights, the kindness of others, smiles, laughter, music, entertainment, the Twilight Zone... you get the picture don't you?

A Special Story About A Man And His Dog! A Person's True Character Is Revealed By How They Treat Animals...

A Man and His Dog

A man and his dog were walking along a road. The man was enjoying the scenery, when it suddenly occurred to him that he was dead.

He remembered dying, and that the dog walking beside him had been dead for years.. He wondered where the road was leading them.

After a while, they came to a high, white stone wall along one side of the road. It looked like fine marble. At the top of a long hill, it was broken by a tall arch that glowed in the sunlight.

When he was standing before it he saw a magnificent gate in the arch that looked like mother-of-pearl, and the street that led to the gate looked like pure gold. He and the dog walked toward the gate, and as he got closer, he saw a man at a desk to one side.

When he was close enough, he called out, "Excuse me, where are we?"

"This is Heaven, sir," the man answered. "Wow! Would you happen to have some water?" the man asked.

"Of course, sir.. Come right in, and I'll have some ice water brought right up." The man gestured, and the gate began to open.

"Can my friend," gesturing toward his dog, "come in, too?" the traveler asked.

"I'm sorry, sir, but we don't accept pets."

The man thought a moment and then turned back toward the road and continued the way he had been going with his dog.

After another long walk, and at the top of another long hill, he came to a dirt road leading through a farm gate that looked as if it had never been closed. There was no fence.

As he approached the gate, he saw a man inside, leaning against a tree and reading a book.

"Excuse me!" he called to the man. "Do you have any water?"

"Yeah, sure, there's a pump over there, come on in."

"How about my friend here?" the traveler gestured to the dog.

"There should be a bowl by the pump."

They went through the gate, and sure enough, there was an old-fashioned hand pump with a bowl beside it.

The traveler filled the water bowl and took a long drink himself, then he gave some to the dog.

When they were full, he and the dog walked back toward the man who was standing by the tree.

"What do you call this place?" the traveler asked.

"This is Heaven," he answered.

"Well, that's confusing," the traveler said. "The man down the road said that was Heaven, too."

"Oh, you mean the place with the gold street and pearly gates? Nope. That's hell."

"Doesn't it make you mad for them to use your name like that?"

"No, we're just happy that they screen out the folks who would leave their best friends behind."

Special Message On Aging! I Received This Email From A Friend. Loving It ♥♥♥

I would never trade my amazing friends, my wonderful life, my loving family for less gray hair or a flatter belly. As I've aged, I've become kinder to myself, and less critical of myself. I've become my own friend. I don't chide myself for eating that extra cookie, or for not making my bed, or for buying that silly cement gecko that I didn't need, but looks so avante garde on my patio. I am entitled to a treat, to be messy, to be extravagant.

I have seen too many dear friends leave this world too soon; before they understood the great freedom that comes with aging.

Whose business is it if I choose to read or play on the computer until 4 AM and sleep until noon? I will dance with myself to those wonderful tunes of the 60 &70's, and if I, at the same time, wish to weep over a lost love ... I will.

I will walk the beach in a swim suit that is stretched over a bulging body, and will dive into the waves with abandon if I choose to, despite the pitying glances from the jet set.

They, too, will get old.

I know I am sometimes forgetful. But there again, some of life is just as well forgotten. And I eventually remember the important things.

Sure, over the years my heart has been broken. How can your heart not break when you lose a loved one, or when a child suffers, or even when somebody's beloved pet gets hit by a car? But broken hearts are what give us strength and understanding and compassion. A heart never broken is pristine and sterile and will never know the joy of being imperfect.

I am so blessed to have lived long enough to have my hair turning gray, and to have my youthful laughs be forever etched into deep grooves on my face.

So many have never laughed, and so many have died before their hair could turn silver.

As you get older, it is easier to be positive. You care less about what other people think. I don't question myself anymore.

I've even earned the right to be wrong.

So, to answer your question, I like being old. It has set me free. I like the person I have become. I am not going to live forever, but while I am still here, I will not waste time lamenting what could have been, or worrying about what will be. And I shall eat dessert every single day(if I feel like it).

MAY OUR FRIENDSHIP NEVER COME APART ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART!

Beyond the Small Family ~ Allow Your Inner Voice To Emerge!

Beyond the Small Family
"No one is my mother..."
[source: Osho International]

You are born with a tremendous possibility of intelligence. You are born with a light within you. Listen to the still, small voice within, and that will guide you. Nobody else can guide you, nobody else can become a model for your life, because you are unique. Nobody has there ever been who was exactly like you, and nobody is ever going to be there again who will be exactly like you. This is your glory, your grandeur--that you are utterly irreplaceable, that you are just yourself and nobody else.

Jesus was a small child and his father and mother had come to the great temple for the annual festival. Jesus was lost somewhere in the crowd, and only by the evening could his parents find him. He was sitting with some scholars, just a child, and he was discussing things with them.

His father said, "Jesus, what are you doing here? We have been worried about you."

Jesus said, "Don't be worried. I was looking after my father's business."

The father said, "I am your father--and what type of business are you looking after here? I am a carpenter."

Jesus said, "My father is in heaven. You are not my father."

Just as a child has to leave the body of the mother, otherwise he will be dead--he has to come out of the womb--the same happens mentally, also. One day he has to come out of the father and mother's womb. Not only physically but mentally; not only mentally but spiritually.

And when the spiritual child is born, has broken with his past completely, for the first time he becomes a self, an independent reality, standing on his own feet.

Before this he was just a part of the mother, or the father, or the family--but he was never himself.

Whatever you are doing, whatever you are thinking, whatever you are deciding, look: is it coming from you or is somebody else speaking? And you will be surprised to find out the real voice; perhaps it is your mother--you will hear her speak again. Perhaps it is your father; it is not at all difficult to detect. It remains there, recorded in you exactly as it was given to you for the first time--the advice, the order, the discipline, the commandment.

You may find many people, the priest, the teachers, the friends, the neighbors, the relatives. There is no need to fight. Just knowing that it is not your voice but somebody else's--whosoever that somebody else is--you know that you are not going to follow it. Whatsoever the consequences, now you are deciding to move on your own, you are deciding to be mature. Enough you have remained a child. Enough you have remained dependent. Enough you have listened to all these voices and followed them. And where have they brought you? In a mess.

So once you figure out whose voice it is, say goodbye to it... because the person who gave that voice to you was not your enemy. His intention was not bad, but it is not a question of his intention. The question is that he imposed something on you that is not coming from your own inner source; and anything that comes from outside makes you a psychological slave.

It is only your own voice that will lead you into a blossoming, into freedom.

Dropping Knowledge

Dropping Knowledge
Naropa's haunting vision
[source: Osho International]

Truth is your own experience, your own vision. Even if I have seen the truth and I tell you, the moment I tell you it will become a lie for you, not a truth. For me it was truth, for me it came through the eyes. It was my vision. For you, it will not be your vision, it will be a borrowed thing. It will be a belief, it will be knowledge--not knowing. And if you start believing in it, you will be believing a lie.

Now remember it. Even a truth becomes a lie if it enters your being through the wrong door. The truth has to enter through the front door, through the eyes. Truth is a vision. One has to see it.

Naropa was a great scholar, a great pundit, with ten thousand disciples of his own. One day he was sitting surrounded by thousands of scriptures--ancient, very ancient, rare. Suddenly he fell asleep, must have been tired, and he saw a vision.

He saw a very, very old, ugly, horrible woman--a hag. Her ugliness was such that he started trembling in his sleep. It was so nauseating he wanted to escape--but where to escape, where to go?

He was caught, as if hypnotized by the old hag. Her eyes were like magnets.

"What are you studying?" asked the old woman.

He said, "Philosophy, religion, epistemology, language, grammar, logic."

The old woman asked again, "Do you understand them?"

Naropa said, "Of course... Yes, I understand them."

The woman asked again, "Do you understand the word, or the sense?"

Thousands of questions had been asked to Naropa in his life--thousands of students always asking, inquiring--but nobody had asked this: whether he understands the word, or the sense. And the woman's eyes were so penetrating--those eyes were going to the very depth of his being, and it was impossible to lie. To anybody else he would have said, "Of course I under-stand the sense," but to this woman, this horrible-looking woman, he had to say the truth. He said, "I understand the words."

The woman was very happy. She started dancing and laughing, and her ugliness was transformed; a subtle beauty started coming out of her being. Thinking, "I have made her so happy. Why not make her a little more happy?" Naropa then said, "And yes, I understand the sense also."

The woman stopped laughing, stopped dancing. She started crying and weeping and all her ugliness was back--a thousandfold more. Naropa said, "Why are you weeping and crying? And why were you laughing and dancing before?"

The woman said, "I was happy because a great scholar like you didn't lie. But now I am crying and weeping because you have lied to me. I know--and you know--that you don't understand the sense."

The vision disappeared and Naropa was transformed. He escaped from the university, he never again touched a scripture in his life. He became completely ignorant, he understood--the woman was nobody outside, it was just a projection. It was Naropa's own being, through knowledge, that had became ugly. Just this much understanding, that "I don't understand the sense," and the ugliness was transformed immediately into a beautiful phenomenon.

This vision of Naropa is very significant. Unless you feel, that knowledge is useless you will never be in search of wisdom. You will carry the false coin thinking that this is the real treasure. You have to become aware that knowledge is a false coin--it is not knowing, it is not understanding. At the most it is intellectual -- the word has been understood but the sense lost.

Fascinating News! Man In Coma Is Awake After 23 Years. Thought To Be In A Vegetative State Tells Us He Was FULLY CONSCIOUS But Could Not Respond!

Comatose for 23 years Belgian feels reborn
written by Raf Casert

BRUSSELS – With a caretaker holding his hand, a Belgian man who was diagnosed as comatose for 23 years typed out a message Tuesday that he felt reborn after decades of loneliness and frustration. A leading bioethicist, however, expressed skepticism that the man was truly communicating on his own.

Car-crash victim Rom Houben was diagnosed as being in a vegetative state but appears to have been conscious the whole time, doctors here said. An expert using a specialized type of brain scan that was not available in the 1980s says he finally realized Houben was conscious and provided him with the equipment to communicate.

Assisted by a speech therapist who rapidly moved his finger letter by letter along a touch-screen keyboard, Houben told AP Television News that years of being unable to move or communicate left him feeling "alone, lonely, frustrated, but also blessed with my family."

The therapist, Linda Wouters, told APTN that she can feel Houben guiding her hand with gentle pressure from his fingers, and that she feels him objecting when she moves his hand toward an incorrect letter.

"It was especially frustrating when my family needed me. I could not share in their sorrow. We could not give each other support," Houben wrote during the interview at the 't Weyerke institute in eastern Belgium.

"Just imagine. You hear, see, feel and think but no one can see that. You undergo things. You cannot participate in life."

Arthur Caplan, a bioethics professor at the University of Pennsylvania, said he is skeptical of Houben's ability to communicate after seeing video of his hand being moved along the keyboard.

"That's called 'facilitated communication,'" Caplan said. "That is ouija board stuff. It's been discredited time and time again. When people look at it, it's usually the person doing the pointing who's doing the messages, not the person they claim they are helping."

Caplan also said the statements Houben allegedly made with the computer seem unnatural for someone with such a profound injury and an inability to communicate for decades.

Asked how he felt when his consciousness was discovered, Houben responded through the aide that: "I especially felt relief. Finally be able to show that I was indeed there."

"Just like with a baby, it happens with a lot of stumbling," he wrote.

The doctor who discovered that Houben had been wrongly diagnosed said that he is re-examining dozens of other cases.

Dr. Steven Laureys said he has discovered some degree of consciousness using state-of-the-art equipment in other patients but won't say how many. He looks at about 50 cases from around the world a year but none are as extreme as that of Rom Houben, who was fully conscious inside a paralyzed body. Many center on the fine distinction between a vegetative state and minimal consciousness.

He said Tuesday that: "It is very difficult to tell the difference."

His studies showed that some 40 percent of patients with consciousness disorders are wrongly given a diagnosis of a vegetative state.

"It is clearly unacceptable. It is four times out of ten that they think the patient is in a vegetative state but in reality he is minimally conscious," Laureys said.

Patients from Europe and around the world brought to his center in Liege for a second opinion go through and PET scans, MRI's and a battery of other tests during a weeklong reassessment.

"Sometimes patients fly in and there is all this hope. But after the tests we have to confirm they are the opposite case from Rom and that there is no error," Laureys said. "But that too helps the family accept reality."

In Belgium alone there are some 350 patients diagnosed as in a vegetative state, he said.

GlaxoSmithKline pulls swine flu vaccines in Canada

LONDON — Pharmaceuticals company GlaxoSmithKline PLC said Tuesday it has advised medical staff in Canada to not use one batch of swine flu vaccines in case they trigger life-threatening allergies.

Company spokeswoman Gwenan White said that they issued the advice after reports that one batch of the swine flu vaccine might have caused more allergic reactions than normal.

"We have advised health care professionals not to use that batch while health authorities and GlaxoSmithKline investigate," she said.

White said the batch at issue, which has been distributed across Canada, contains 172,000 doses of the vaccine. She declined to say how many doses had been administered before the advice to stop using them was given.

White said U.K.-based GlaxoSmithKline wrote to Canadian health care professionals advising them to stop using the batch on Nov. 18. She says a total of 7.5 million doses of the vaccine have been distributed in Canada.

GlaxoSmithKline is the world's second largest drug maker by revenue. Its shares were down 0.08 percent on the London stock exchange at 1,276.50p ($21.16)

Philippines: Deadliest Massacre Death Toll Is At 46 An Unprecedented Act Of Violence At The Outset Of The Country's Election Season!

Philippines' deadliest massacre tests government

AMPATUAN, Philippines — A few miles off the main highway, on a remote hilltop covered with waist-high grass, bodies lay with twisted hands reaching in the air. They had been shot point-blank.

Nearby, bodies were being laid out under banana leaves Tuesday as police — their faces covered against the stench — unearthed a mass grave containing 22 victims from Monday's ambush on an election caravan. The discovery brought the death toll to 46 — an unprecedented act of violence at the outset of the country's election season.

As many as five people remained unaccounted for.

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo declared a state of emergency in Maguindanao and a neighboring southern province, sending extra troops and police to try to impose the rule of law.

"No effort will be spared to bring justice to the victims and hold the perpetrators accountable to the full limit of the law," she said.

Few think she will be successful in the impoverished, lawless region that has been outside the central government's reach for generations, and where warlords backed by private armies go by their own rules.

Authorities said the victims included at least 13 Filipino journalists from regional newspapers, TV and radio stations who were accompanying family members and supporters of a gubernatorial candidate out to file his nomination papers for May 2010 elections.

Noynoy Espina, vice chairman of the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines, said as many as 20 journalists may have been in the convoy, based on reports from union chapters in the area.

The figures could not be immediately reconciled, but still the deaths marked "the largest single massacre of journalists ever," according to Paris-based Reporters Without Borders.

Dozens of gunmen intercepted the caravan as it traveled on a two-lane highway that cuts across vast open tracts of land and banana groves, police said. They took some of the people to the grassy area, where the killings started.

Authorities found 24 bullet-riddled bodies sprawled on the ground next to five abandoned vehicles.

Police, aided by a backhoe, worked most of Tuesday to extricate the bodies from the mass grave. All had been shot multiple times and were dumped on top of one another. One was a pregnant woman.

Grieving relatives helped identify their loved ones before they were given the bodies, covered by banana leaves, for burial.

The gubernatorial candidate, Ismael Mangudadatu, was not in the convoy because he had received death threats. He accused a powerful political rival from the Amputuan clan of carrying out the killings.

Mangudadatu's wife, Genalyn, and his two sisters, were among the dead, he said. In all, 21 women and 25 men died, said military spokesman Col. Jonathan Ponce.

Mangudadatu said four witnesses in his protection, whom he refused to identify, had told him the convoy was stopped by gunmen loyal to Andal Ampatuan Jr., a town mayor and rival, to prevent Mangudadatu's family from filing elections papers.

"It was really planned because they had already dug a huge hole (for the bodies)," Mangudadatu said.

He said there were reports from the area that the militia had been blocking the road for a few days.

The Ampatuans, who have ruled one of the nation's poorest regions since 2001, could not be reached for comment.

Arroyo's peace adviser Jesus Dureza said he met Tuesday with Andal Ampatuan, the family's patriarch, and received assurances that his family would cooperate in the investigation.

It was not clear how far Arroyo's administration would go in trying to force the provincial warlords to give up their weapons and private armies.

But Maguindanao's provincial police chief and three other officers were relieved of duty and confined to camp after they were reported to have been seen with the pro-government militiamen who stopped the convoy, police said.

Such militiamen are meant to act as an auxiliary force mobilized by the police or military to fight rebels and criminals, but often they act as private enforcers of local warlords.

Much of the southern island of Mindanao, including Maguindanao province, used to be ruled by fiercely independent sultans who fought Spanish and American colonizers. The political dynasties of the Ampatuans and the Mangudadatus behave in a much similar way — ruling by force, unopposed in their turfs with little outside interference.

Julkipli Wadi, a professor of Islamic studies at the University of the Philippines, said he doubted the national government's resolve in trimming the powers of political dynasties like the Ampatuans because they deliver votes during elections.

"Because of the absence of viable political institutions, powerful men are taking over," he said. "Big political forces and personalities in the national government are sustaining the warlords, especially during election time, because they rely on big families for their votes."

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Police are seeking a second person on charges of rape in connection with a sex abuse case, the Greensboro Police Department said in a news release Monday.

Sergio Rene Salazar, 20, is wanted on six counts of first-degree rape of a child and three counts of first-degree sexual offense with a child.

Police said the victim is a girl under the age of 13.

The girl's mother was arrested over the weekend on six counts of felony child abuse involving a sexual act. Salazar and the girl's mother were renting a house on Green Point Dr. along with several others, police said.

Police began investigating after the department received a complaint Nov. 3 regarding the sexual exploitation of children.

NOTE: In this case, FOX8 has chosen to not identify the victim's mother, since naming her could result in the identification of the victim. FOX8 does not identify victims in sexual assault and rape cases.

UPDATE: In-depth Information Regarding The Incest Allegations That Shattered The Public Image Of Church-Going Clan! MUST READ Article!

Incest allegations shatter public image of church-going clan

Last June, 76-year-old Burrell E. Mohler Sr. seemed a perfectly reasonable choice to give the Father's Day sermon at his tiny Bates City Community of Christ Church.

After all, he was a family man. Proud of his four sons. Loved all those grandchildren.

A churchgoer who was present that day believes Mohler’s message followed the lectionary Scripture suggested by the mother church: the Gospel of Mark 4:35, the story of Jesus quieting the storm at sea.

Fortunate, perhaps, that he did not speak on Mark 10:14: “Suffer the little children to come unto me.”

Because months later, Mohler’s reputation as the strict but good patriarch would come crashing down.

He’s in jail now, after allegations from at least three grandchildren that “sleepovers” on his farm at 3067 Old Concord Road often meant incestuous rape, and that when granddaddy sang “Itsy-Bitsy Spider” his hands ended up in wrong places.

After allegations that their uncles wedded and bedded first-graders in a chicken coop and that their father did unspeakable things to them less than a mile from that little white church.

Once the charges — 42 so far — were filed, it seemed the Mohler family was shattered as irreparably as the bad-memory jars the little girls purportedly buried and authorities earlier this month hoped to dig up.

It’s a dark and ugly family portrait, causing dismay and disbelief among relatives and friends. They paint a starkly different picture — one of people who took joy in their children, their churches and friendships.

Time in court will tell which is the correct one.

Many stand fiercely by Mohler and his four sons, Ed, David, Roland and Jared, as well as his brother, Darrel — all in jail.

Gina Fauth, a good friend who sang church duets with Burrell Mohler Sr.’s wife, doesn’t buy any of the allegations.

“He’s a very respectable man,” Fauth said. “I have no reason to not trust him. It’s mind-boggling. I’m just sick over it.”

What about the prosecutor’s relentlessly recounted atrocities against girls as young as 5?

“I don’t believe it, and we go back to 1951,” said Ron Gamble, a brother-in-law of the senior Mohler.

Yet all or nearly all six children of Burrell “Ed” Mohler Jr. — including one who is a police officer in a Kansas City suburb — gave credence to the tales of twisted family relationships, according to court documents.

Nor did it help the senior Mohler’s legal defense or public image as a grandfather when police hauled incest porn out of his current Independence home.

While some question the validity of the accusations, others may ask why authorities did not investigate earlier.

In the 1980s or early ’90s, at least some of the grandchildren reportedly went to their mother about the abuse, according to police documents. Instead of going to law enforcement, she told the head of her Mormon church. And nothing happened.

An Overland Park man, who once shared custody of his 7-year-old son with an ex-wife who married into the Mohler family, said he tried to alert the Lafayette County sheriff, the Missouri Division of Family Services and a court-appointed guardian to what he feared was happening at the Mohler place.

“I notified everybody I could notify in February 2000 about this.” Then, three months ago, an Independence police detective told the man there were multiple victims, “and my son was on the list.”

“I said: ‘You mean it took them nine years to figure this out?’ ”

Many remember how the family children once looked forward to what they called “cousins camp” every summer, a happy and normal gathering of the young in the tribe.

“I just cannot wrap my head around it,” said Erin Hill, who went to school with David and Roland’s children — who are not mentioned in any of the court documents.

Hill considers herself a good friend of the senior Mohler, who used to drive her to the Bates City church and who once came to her house to pray for her after she accidentally super-glued shut an eye.

“Those three men I know personally are probably the nicest men alive,” she said. “If you can’t trust them, then you can’t trust anybody.”

Less than a year after Alice died, the senior Mohler married a woman who worked at the Community of Christ Temple in Independence.

They resided in a small, white bungalow on a corner lot in Independence — him in the basement lately since she found a porn trove above the ceiling tiles.

Police took incest mags titled Family Taboo and Best of Family Secrets, along with hand-labeled videotapes, guns, computers and sex toys.

The porn find was unfortunate, said Alice’s cousin, Bob Bruch. “But it doesn’t convict him.”

Bruch hired Burrell Mohler Sr. when Bruch ran maintenance at the Community of Christ Auditorium. “He was a good employee. Did what he was told, knew what he was doing and didn’t complain.”

Bruch, who once worshipped with Mohler in Bates City, said he had no doubts about Mohler’s commitment to Christ. [WTF? My gosh, they are ALL twisted over there.]

Gamble told of how he might have been with Mohler at month’s end. “Usually we get together at Thanksgiving, so we see each other then.”

He had to settle for a courtroom in Lexington, Mo., on Tuesday.

UPDATE: More Gruesome Allegations Emerge In Child-Rape Case Multiple Sex Crimes Against Six Children Of The Mohler family! Preacher Father And 4 Sons!

Kansas City Star
More gruesome allegations emerge in child-rape case
written by Donald Bradley

LEXINGTON, Mo. The macabre story of the Mohlers took an even darker twist Tuesday — random murder, little girls with knives and a sex slave hidden in the crawl space.

The new information comes from search warrants in the Lafayette County case that started explosively enough last week with the arrest of a senior citizen and his four middle-aged sons. All are charged with sex crimes against six children of the Mohler family, based on the allegations of a 26-year-old woman in August.

It steadily got worse. A great-uncle in Florida was accused of taking part in the rapes once at the family farm south of Bates City.

On Monday, new allegations by an older sister of the first woman doubled the number of sex charges.

Now, new chapters: A “300-pound man” allegedly abducted from his driveway and killed, and a young woman held captive under the family property so long that the little girls supposedly wondered whether she was a sister they didn’t know about.

Acting on the accusations, law enforcement authorities last week used machinery to tear up a 55-acre property. They confirmed they were looking for bodies as well as other evidence, including mysterious glass jars.

The search reportedly found a bone of an unknown type, a credit card, eyeglasses and the sole of a shoe or boot.

Prosecutors have declined to comment on specifics of the investigation, saying it is in its early stages.

As five accused men, Burrell E. Mohler Sr., 77; Burrell E. Mohler Jr., 53; David Mohler, 52; Jared Mohler, 48; and Roland Mohler, 47, attended a hearing Tuesday, about two dozen relatives packed the front row of the Lafayette County District Court room to give them moral support. Later, like other family members contacted in recent days, they protested that the stories could not be true.

“Burrell and I go back to 1951, and I don’t believe any of it,” said Ron Gamble, a brother-in-law of the senior Mohler.

Gamble, of Independence, said that he had visited the Mohler place over the years and had seen nothing suspicious. He called the deceased wife of the senior Burrell “very religious, very strict,” and she would not have condoned any of the behavior listed in the many charges.

Those allegations include rape, sodomy and bestiality against small children. They were first brought to light by the 26-year-old woman, who said the outrages against her started about kindergarten and went on until an abortion before her 12th birthday.

Some abuse cases based on suppressed memories have proved to be untrue. In this case, authorities say siblings have all supported her allegations, with the 29-year-old sister relating more memories that amounted to 17 more charges.

Two of the sisters told of “mock weddings” in which they were matched to an uncle before heading to the chicken coop for consummation.

Now comes the recounting of a murder that allegedly occurred in April 1988, when three of the girls would have been 8, 7, and 5. The allegations in the search warrant state that:

The women recalled being with their father, Burrell E. Mohler Jr., when he followed a large man from the Independence Center shopping mall to his driveway. The girls were told to tell the man their father was suffering a heart attack to bring the victim close enough to be subdued by their father.

The women reported that they were blindfolded as the man was transported to the rural property owned by Mohler’s father.

There, the girls were told that they must kill their captive or be killed themselves. Given knives, the girls heard their father count to three. The 29-year-old woman recalled jumping on the victim’s back and trying to choke him with her arm, but being knocked off when he quickly rose up from the ground. She said she jumped on his back again and stabbed him repeatedly, but the man did not die until her father allegedly stabbed him in the chest.

What's Been On Your Mind Lately? by Joyce Meyers Part 6 of 7

Wow! Joyce Meyers you totally rock! I love love love this message she gave today on TBN at 3:30pm. This message is SPOT ON! LOVE IT! I'm so glad TogetherInWorship posted these video's on YouTube so that I could share them with all of you. I have typed a transcript of this message for my international readers who need to translate. Enjoy!

*********************************************************************

Let the Word of God renew your mind. Learn how to think. Learn how to take an aggressive stand against the sin. Make your mind up that you're going to live for God's glory. Now do me a favor I know at this point everybody likes to run for their car. I'm going to ask you please to not do that because the most important part of our service is still to be had. We need to give people an opportunity to make Jesus Christ the Lord of their life. There are people here that are ready to do that. They've heard what they need and really creates just too much chaos when people are moving around.

Now I want you to listen to me if you're here tonight and you say Joyce well I think I understood some things tonight that I've never understood before. I want to be a Christian. I want to surrender my life to Jesus. It sounds like a pretty great way to live. You say I'm a sinner. I want to have my sin's forgiven. I want to know that I am going to heaven. I'm ready. I want you to pray with me. I want to make that commitment tonight. You know maybe you came with somebody and you were'nt even really sure what you were coming to and God has just touched your heart tonight. Maybe you tried to serve God at some time and you back slid and you've been living again in sin and the devil has had you convinced that God wouldn't have you back. Well the devil is a liar and God is waiting for you with open arms. Maybe the first go around if you would have understood some of the things even that I shared with you tonight maybe you would have been able to walk it out a little bit more successfully.

Or the third group I'm after and sometimes I think the most important person, maybe your just a good ole church person. You're just like church church church church church. And you know I say this all the time, but it's true, going and sitting in church doesn't make you a Christian. I can sit in my garage all day but that won't make me a car. You NEED to be born again. Either you've surrendered your life to Christ or do you just think by going to church and maybe doing a few good works and throwing a few bucks in the offering plate that you're okay. You can't get to heaven on your good works. It's ALL based on Jesus or there is no other way to get in. He is the door. I am the door he said anybody who tries to come in any other way is a thief and a robber. You can't come in on through church attendence, your good works, your offerings or anything else ONLY through Jesus.

I just want to pray for people. I just want to pray for you. So if you're here tonight and you say that's me I'm ready. I want Jesus to be my Lord and my Savior. And I want to make sure that when I leave here tonight that I know that my sins are forgiven and I'm on my way to heaven. Would you just stand up right where you're at. Come on all over the place. Up up up up! That's right. More more more. Come on! Up up up! Don't be ashamed. NEVER be ashamed to take a stand for Jesus! Now listen I'm just going to ask one more time. Do not be afraid. You might think well I'm not going to stand up in front of all of these people. You know what if you won't take a stand in here there is no hope of you going out there and taking one. YOU CAN NOT START OUT being afraid of what everybody is going to THINK OF YOU. So if you know you should be up but you're not. I don't want you to go home sorry. So get up right now right now so I can pray with you.

Come on it's time for you to kick the devil in the teeth and start living the life Jesus died for you to live. This is YOUR NIGHT. Come on now! Alright now listen to me just a minute. I'm going to ask you to do something that people find difficult and we're doing it for a reason. It's not to embarrass you or to make you feel funny. I could pray for you right where you're at, there's no magic in coming to the alter. I want to pray a special prayer over you and we'll have some people available to talk with you if you want that. I'm going to ask all of you that are standing. If you by yourself bring your things with you. If not, you can bring a friend with you if you're more comfortable. I just feel like anybody that is really serious about this is not going to mind to take a few more minutes to make sure that their eternity is saved. Come on!

God has a GREAT LIFE for you. And Romans 12 says that we will have to study the Word of God and that we will have our minds renewed and then and ONLY then will we really experience the wonderful plan that God has for our life. The MIND has to be renewed and this right here (she's holding up the bible) is the renewing tool. Because you don't even know you're thinking wrong until you look in here (she's holding up the bible) and find out how God thinks. All that junky thinking we do in the world. We just think it's the way you ought to think. It's the way everybody thinks. Momma thought this way. Daddy thought this way. Grandma thought this way. Everybody I know thinks this way. You don't even try to think any specific way because you just think whatever the devil dumps in your head and you don't even know you have a choice. But the TRUTH is you can choose what you want to think. Now it's going to take some training. It's going to take some effort. But you can choose what you want to think. II Corinthians chapter 3 says if we will continue in the Word of God we will see the image of Christ in there and we will be transformed into that image from Glory to Glory to Glory.

Now I want to get this in because I think it's important. It's just something I've been thinking about alot lately. You know it just amazes that so many people have such a hard time with prayer and bible study. And I get it, because I went through all that too. I don't mean like I'm so surprised that you have such a hard time. I mean we all go through that. Well obviously we know it's just the devil and he's trying to keep me out of the Word. But I also am coming to the conclusion that I think that alot of it is because and I want you to listen to me and get this, we have a religious MINDSET about the whole thing. Rather than approaching it with an attitude of FREEDOM and asking God to lead you in your prayer and to lead you in how you will study. We have these, I mean if you will, we have these religious walls. Somehow or another we get this, I don't know if comes down exactly like this for you. But I mean boy most people think they're really spiritual if they can read the bible through every year and pray an hour every day. It's actually almost kind of funny to me that sometimes you can never accomplish that and I think sometimes when we're trying to do it for all the wrong reasons God will never help us do it. I mean if you read the bible through every year that still doesn't mean you'd know anything. Amen! But oh we'd be proud. Yes sir, we'd be proud. We'd probably tell a few people and make sure they knew that we were doing it. But you see God is NOT interested in quantity. He is interested in QUALITY.

And the truth of the matter is you might read the whole book of Matthew and not get anything. But then again you might meditate on one verse for a week, but you get it. It's like I got it. Yeah I got it. But most people don't go around wow ONE VERSE! Woohoo, let me tell all of you that in the whole week I read one verse. No, we'd be ashamed of that. And so I just told somebody recently that has a struggle in this area. They're not as much of a book learner. Never have been. They're more of a hands on type person. You know different people learn in different ways. And praise God for all of the tools He's given us today. With the radio, the t.v., the dvd's and cd's and Ipod's. I mean good night if you can't get the Word today, then you have a serious problem. I mean you can download it off the internet and stick it in your ear all day long everywhere you go. You can take me with you everywhere you go. I told this person, you know what STOP having these mindsets of how much you think you have to do for it to be acceptable to God. Start just doing what you can and know that God is pleased with every little effort that you make. And because it's so hard for this person to read, I said you might read one page and you know you might get as much credit from God as I would if I read half a book. God doesn't place the same requirements on every person and He does NOT expect every person to do everything the exact same way. One person may pray three hours every morning and somebody else might never pray more than 2 minutes at a time, but they might pray all day.

And you'll hear me say this tomorrow night. I think I've got a really special Word to preach and I like it when God gives me something brand new. I think you've got to get to the point where you stop counting everything. You know David actually got cursed because he numbered the people. I think sometimes we're just counting too much. How long have I prayed? How much have I read? How long have I done this? How much have I done that? How many times have I gone to church? Why don't you learn to just live with God and every opportunity you get try to get a little Word into you. It may be a full meal. It may be a snack. It may be reading one page when you're in the bathroom. Is anybody home out there? Get rid of all those RELIGIOUS MINDSETS and PRECONCEIVED IDEAS about how you have to do it. You don't have to do it how Charles Finney did. You don't have to do it like Billy Graham does it. You don't have to do it like Joyce Meyers does it. You just NEED to get with God and let God give you a plan for your life and follow Him. I've decided there has to be something wrong for so many people to be struggling in this area and I know that they are good people that want to do it. But it's a struggle a struggle a struggle. And we always say that you know if you don't have time for God... And I believe all of that. I believe we have to give God first place of our time. And I know it takes discipline and I know it takes work and it takes dedication. But I do believe that you have to be led by the Holy Spirit. Some people are better in the morning. Some people are better at night.

You know for years my husband had to get up too early to go to work to be able to get up to study before he went and he spent his lunch hour every day, for years he would walk around the neighborhood in the area where he worked and talked to God and he got to work a little bit early and he would do some reading and read the bible and you know now he's got a world wide ministry. He didn't follow some pattern. He just followed God. Now I study alot, but God has called me as a teacher. And so He's given me a gift and an ability to do that. I love it. I'm passionate about it. If I can get a whole day to study, I'd think I've died and gone to heaven. But you know what I can't expect everybody else to do everything exactly the way that I do it. Because you might have the gift of encouragement and I don't know you may spend a half a day encouraging the people that I've run all over trying to get to my ministry. Come on!

Now here is the thing that happens, the bible says that we are going to be molded into His image. Well, got my Playdo here. This is you and me. Smash smash smash what are you doing God? Haha! Okay here it comes. This is a terrible example but we're going to pretend like this is Jesus. (she takes out a cookie cutter) Okay now you're born again... I receive Christ as my savior. Woo, there He is right there in the middle. Okay now I start reading this Word. See you can hardly see Him on this side. You have a pretty good view over here but nobody else can really tell much about that. Got a little work to do Joyce. (she starts peeling off the Playdo from the sides) Ooooh! Okay! Ooooh not that! You know each one of these might take 20 trips around the mountain in 10 years so... Well now He's starting to get the picture a little better here. And before you know it... there you are looking just like Jesus.

God didn't care to much for Cain's offering and He told him so. And Cain's response was to become exceedingly angry and indignant and he got sad and depressed. Now when God corrects you, you can respond in two ways: You can get angry, indignant, sad and depressed or you can say thank you Lord for showing me that and I definitely want to be however it is you want me to be and so please forgive me and change me. That's all you really have to do. You don't even really have to change yourself. You just have to get in agreement with God, stay in the Word and He'll change you.

And the Lord said to Cain, "Why are you angry? And why do you look sad and depressed and dejected?" That's in Genesis 4:6-7. Now watch verse 7. If you do well will you not be accepted? And if you don't do well sin crouches at your door. It's desires for you, now look at these next few words, but YOU MUST MASTER IT. We're going to preached a little this weekend about sin. Why are you not cheering? If I would have said prosperity, you would of all yelled. If I would have said miracles, you would of all yelled. No we're going to preach some this weekend on sin. I'm not going to tell you which meeting because I don't want you to miss it. And do you know why we're going to preach on it, because it is a problem. There's too many people that are living sloppy lives and not dealing with the stuff that they need to deal with. God convicts them and they get mad. Just like Cain and Abel. God said to Cain, the devil is after you and you need to MASTER IT. He had a chance right there, things could have turned completely around.

Verse 8, And Cain said to his brother, let us go out to the field. And when they were in the field, Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him. You know the whole story then he ended up with a curse on his life and on and on and on. But where did the problem start? The problem didn't start when he just woke up one day and decided to kill his brother. It started way back, months and maybe years before with an attitude, with wrong thoughts and wrong attitude, with jealousy and comparison and competition and anger and bitterness and resentment and unforgiveness and who knows maybe he even smiled at his brother in the house. When you go to church on Sunday you hear praise the Lord brother, Hallelujah sister, oooh Jesus she's so good. And you're thinking I just can't stand you. That is the dumbest looking at that I've seen in my life. And then say oh sister I just love that hat. You all know what I'm talking about. Would God like the condition of your mind? Take responsibility for your thought life. The better your thoughts are the better your life is going to be. The better your thoughts are the happier heaven is going to be with you.

Turn to Romans 8:4-6, "So that the righteous and the just requirement of the law might be fully met and those who live and move not in the ways of the flesh but in the ways of the Spirit. Having our lives governed not by the standards and according the dictates of the flesh but according to the Spirit. So it says your supposed to walk in the Spirit and not walk in the flesh. We've all got a flesh. There is a sin nature that's there. But if we walk in the Spirit then we won't fullfill the lust of the flesh. So it means we've got to listen to God and not ourselves. Listen to God and not other people. For those according to the flesh are controlled by it's unholy desires have set their minds on and are pusuing those things which gratify the flesh.

So let me just get it where we can all understand it. Okay God has told me I need to get my body in shape, I need to lose a little weight, I need to work out. Okay so I'm going cool on Monday. Things are good. Now I'm looking through a magazine and see a hot fudge sundae. I start thinking about that hot fudge sundae. I've set my mind on that hot fudge sundae. Pretty soon I'm pusuing that hot fudge sundae. I may go get in my car and get in hot pursuit of a hot fudge sundae. But it started because I set my mind on it. If you set your mind on how somebody has done you wrong and hurt your feelings, you're going to end up acting out. If you set your mind on what you don't have in life and what other people have that you think you ought to have, then you're going to be discontented and have a bad attitude. No matter how many times a week you go to church, God is still not happy with your attitude. It's all about what goes on in us. Set your mind on things above and not on things upon the earth. Set your mind on what the bible tells you to do.

The bible says that if we'll meditate on the Word of God day and night that we will observe and then begin to do according to all that is written in it. The Word is so valuable. It's so important to study the Word of God for yourself. It's great to listen to speakers. I'm so glad you came to the conference. I hope you take alot of notes. But I hope you go home and actually look all these scriptures up again and study them for yourself. Because it's through going over of things over and over that they'll really get rooted in us. Now why is that people have such a difficult time doing this? Why I think there are several reason. One lack of discipline. Two the busy ness that everybody lives in. Be honest even before people were this busy, I think they still had problems. Obviously, there is a great attack from the enemy, he doesn't want you to be in the Word of God because if you ever really start studying the Word of God seriously you'll start seeing what's wrong with you and he really doesn't want you to see that.

The bible says the Word of God is like a mirror. When we look in it we see Christ. But the other thing we see is what we're not. (Joyce has them bring out a mirror and put's on a ratted jacket.) If I don't look in the mirror. What you all don't like my outfit? If I don't look in the mirror, I can go running around all day looking like this and not even know it. It amazes me sometimes the way I see people out and about, it's like don't you even look in the mirror before you go out? I don't want to be crude here, but I'll see some Christian woman maybe even at church, half her bottom is hanging out and half her bottom and I'm like you just don't get it, did you not even look in the mirror? The Word of God is like a mirror. Well okay so I look in the Word, I see what I'm suppose to be and I see what I'm not. None of it is for condemnation. It's just for me to say oh wow I guess I'll have to clean up. Now you see I can take that off and say boy I like that much better. That's much nicer.

Now the bible says study to show yourself approved a workman that has no cause to be ashamed. Now can I just tell you something if you want to be a really victorious powerful walking the walk Christian you're going to have to work at it. You don't get into works of the flesh, but you work with God following the Holy Spirit and doing your part. But the devil wants us to be lazy. Has anybody ever noticed that the #1 chair in America is not called workerboy. I mean who would go out and buy and chair called workerboy. But man do we like those Lazyboy's. But the bible says study to show yourself approved, a workman that needeth not be ashamed. Now we are DESTINED to be conformed into the image of Christ. We are DESTINED to be transformed, changed entirely and Romans chapter 12 says by the renewing of your MIND.
