Man Wanted in Greensboro Child Sex-Abuse Case

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Police are seeking a second person on charges of rape in connection with a sex abuse case, the Greensboro Police Department said in a news release Monday.
Sergio Rene Salazar, 20, is wanted on six counts of first-degree rape of a child and three counts of first-degree sexual offense with a child.
Police said the victim is a girl under the age of 13.
The girl's mother was arrested over the weekend on six counts of felony child abuse involving a sexual act. Salazar and the girl's mother were renting a house on Green Point Dr. along with several others, police said.
Police began investigating after the department received a complaint Nov. 3 regarding the sexual exploitation of children.
NOTE: In this case, FOX8 has chosen to not identify the victim's mother, since naming her could result in the identification of the victim. FOX8 does not identify victims in sexual assault and rape cases.
