Sagittarius Full Moon This Past Weekend May 21st/22nd Was A Blue Moon by Kelley Rosano

The Sagittarius Full Moon on May 21 is a Blue Moon. There will be another Sagittarius Full Moon on June 20. This Full Moon is at the beginning of Sagittarius. The next one will be at the end. The Sun is in Gemini. It is bringing to light what you think. How you perceive information. What you think is what you become. Think and grow rich. Whatever you can think and believe. You can achieve. Believe in your dreams coming true. Believe in the power of your mind. Change your thoughts and you will change your world.

This Full Moon is in a grand square. This happens with the Sun Gemini. The Moon is in Sagittarius. So is Mars and Saturn. Challenging Jupiter in Virgo. Neptune is in Pisces. He is strong here. Neptune rules Pisces. Neptune is perplexing all of them. The test will be to balance your need for freedom with your duties. There will be a tug of war between keeping the status quo verses your risk taking. Without risk, there can be no reward. You are playing it too safe. Then you are not taking enough risks. This is a dynamic Full Moon. It effects many areas of your life. This is where the action is this year. We have been building towards this time.

The Saturn Neptune aspect is creating a frenetic energy. This may make for extreme restlessness. You may experience scatterbrains. Indecisiveness. You can feel pulled in numerous directions. You may have too much on your plate. Less is more. Make friends with the word no. No is your friend. No, I am not available. No, I cannot do that for you. You need to do that for yourself. Allow other people to solve their own problems. Focus on what you need. What do you want? This may sound like a simple question. Think about it. What do you want? Do you need more freedom? Do you need more time to play?

Saturn Neptune aspects are weird. They do not like each other. Saturn loves to build structures. Neptune loves to dissolve them. When you put these two together, it is like water and oil. They do not mix. This energy can find you in a state of chaos and confusion. Am I coming or going? Am I making progress or am I falling behind? This Moon requires you to be who you really are. Be authentic. Be true to yourself. Yes, consider the needs of others. But do not let others needs trump what is right for you. Come from your soul desires. Your soul knows what you need. Saturn requires you to be realistic. Be practical. Be grounded. If you are tired rest. Take plenty of catnaps. These energies can be exhausting at times. It will take time to get used to the higher vibrations. It is not the time to push yourself. Focus your energy. Work while you are strong. Rest when you need it. Listen to your body. It is your messenger. What is it telling you? Saturn restricts the energy of the Sun. This is so you prioritize what is important for you and what is a distraction. Yes, this energy is challenging. On the other hand, you can make your dreams come true. The Grand Earth trine is strong at the Full Moon. Read the Taurus New Moon to learn more.

“Do not dwell in the past; do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.” — Buddha

Do not worry about the future. Be here now. Your power is in the here and now. When you go out into the future, you are not there yet. You have no power there. This will scare you. Your power is in the choices you make today. Allow the future to take care of itself. Watch out for overloading yourself. Trying to do too much can be exhausting. You can feel pulled into too many directions. Take your time and set your priorities. Less is more. Work less and make more time for you. Work less and make more life for you. Work less and make more abundance for you. Do what makes you happy. Make sure you are including you in your life. Where are you out of balance? This Full Moon will show you where you may have gone to the extreme. Are you tired? Are taking enough time for you? Without you, what do we have? You are here to be happy. You are not here just to serve. You are here to live your Best Life.

Neptune governs the oceans. He is the God of the seas. Neptune takes you on journey into the mystical realm of God. There are no boundaries. There are no limitations. You are free to create with your mind. Neptune steps up your vibration. You see into higher dimensions. It can increase your psychic abilities. Empowering your future vision and your dreams. You are to make your dreams real. Be magical. Come from your Higher Self and not your ego. It is a dance. Move with the fluidity of Neptune. Do not be pulled by the undertow of illusion. Reality is but a dream when Neptune is challenging you. Make sure that what you are doing is right for you. That you are not in denial of the truth. What is real? What is an illusion? This will be your challenge. Discernment and patience will guide your way. If something seems too good to be true, it is. If someone seems too good to be true, he or she is. Neptune loves to cast spells. Love’s illusion may be potent at the Full Moon.

Mercury moves direct on May 22. Yippee! This is good news. You may want to give yourself a couple of days before you launch into your new plans. Or sign on that dotted line. The messenger needs time to get his head on straight. Mercury direct is a welcome relief to the delays. Frustrations and miss-communications that have been ripe since the end of April. The pace of activity will pick up in the weeks ahead. Mercury is in Taurus. He is forming a beautiful aspect to Pluto and Jupiter. This keeps the Grand Earth Trine going through the end of May. Planting seeds in the fertile ground for your benefit. These will come to fruition in the weeks and months ahead. There are many blessings here for you. Let go of what is not working for you. You are to focus your energy on what is working for you.

Life is moving at the speed of light. Do not forget to include you in it. “Detach. Hold things loosely. Trust in your ability to accept change. Be here NOW. Your power is in the present. Now is to have your focus as you move into a deeper but higher state of existence. Thank you for being you. You do it so well.” –Ivo/Lisa Dorr This is the secret sauce for your success. Use the light of the Full Moon to empower you. You want let go of the life you have planned, so you accept the one that is waiting for you. Be kind to yourself. Be kind to other people. “Kindness is the language, which the deaf can hear, and the blind can see.” — Mark Twain Remember that we are all doing the best we can, with what we have. Those that know better do better. Show up do your best and let go of the rest. Be Blessed. Be safe. Be well. Be kind. Be here Now. Stand your ground. You are loved. All Are One.

“There is nothing for you to go back and live over, or fix, or feel regret about now. Every part of your life has unfolded just right. And so —now — knowing all that you know from where you now stand, now what do you want? The answers are now coming forth to you. Go forth in joy, and get on with it.” — Abraham

This Is The Right Time ~ by Lisa Stansfield

This is the right time to believe in love

Everyone knows
If you don't demand, it shows
That you understand the LIGHT
Shining inside us
It's more than tonight
It's forever more, it's right
When there's someone there 'til the light
To hold you close

You know it's all you will ever need,
'Cause you're seein' LOVE, and seein' it clearly
There's no doubt about it, you just have to shout out

This is the right time
This is the right time
I can see it in your eyes
This is the right time to believe in LOVE

Everyone knows it's a special thing, it's a love
that will never, ever be wrong, 'cause this love is strong

You know it's all you will ever need
'Cause you're seein' love, and seein' it clearly
There's no doubt about it, you just have to shout out

This is the right time
This is the right time
I can see it in your eyes
This is the right time to believe in love

This is the right time
This is the right time
I can see it in your eyes
This is the right time to believe in love

So when you know that there's someone you want
And you want them so tonight, more than you've ever done anyone

You know it's all you will ever need
'Cause you're seein' love, and seein' it clearly
There's no doubt about it, you just have to shout out

This is the right time
This is the right time
I can see it in your eyes
This is the right time to believe in love

This is the right time
This is the right time
I can see it in your eyes
This is the right time to believe in love

Well, do you believe, baby?
'Cause I believe, baby
Do you believe, baby?
Believe in love

This is the right time
This is the right time
I can see it in your eyes
This is the right time to believe in love

We've Got To Live together If We're Gonna Be FREE!

I just returned home after out running errands. I was blaring this song on my car stereo while I was driving around town, tears streaming down my face. It was on repeat! Enjoy... ♥

When Lisa Stansfield released her first album "Affection" in 1990, I was 20 years old and thought romance whenever I heard this song. Although now, this song has such profound meaning to me. I think of Americans and then I expand my vision and heart and think of THE WORLD.

Live Together ~ by Lisa Stansfield

Spoken:
This is all we need, to be FREE,
TO UNDERSTAND, and find the answer
So let's do it now, let's do it RIGHT NOW...

We've got to live together if we're gonna BE FREE
We've got to FIND THE ANSWER RIGHT NOW
We've got to live together
We've got to SEE EACH OTHER for whatever we are
We've got to solve the problem
Together
We've got to live together

Take a look at me, I'm the honest kind
When I say it, I mean it
I swear I need you all my life
All WE NEED is sympathy, if we want to change our minds
This is no second thought, this is for ALL TIMES
All my life

This has got to be FOREVER
Whatever
Whatever's come, whatever's been,
It's livin' life for what we see
Promise not to lose our hope
We

We've got to live together if we're gonna BE FREE
We've got to FIND the answer RIGHT NOW
We've got to live together
We've got to SEE EACH OTHER for whatever we are
We've got to SOLVE the problem, RIGHT NOW
We've got to live together
Live together

We're gonna give it ALL that we got
We'll believe it whether or not
Loving ourself and loving our hearts
Love is seein' all that we are
We're gonna do it, do it right now
LOVE IS THERE, IT'S SHOWING US HOW
WE CAN DO IT, we can live together

You don't need no reason to hold your head up high
A little pride so you can justify your whole life

This has got to be FOREVER
Whatever
Whatever's come, whatever's been,
Livin' life for what we see
Promise not to lose our hope
We

We've got to live together if we're gonna BE FREE
We've got to find the answer RIGHT NOW
We've got to live together
We've got to SEE EACH OTHER for whatever we are
We've got to solve the problem
Together
We've got to live together

Full Moon In Sagittarius This Weekend, On May 21st/22nd. Live Your Truth, Get Out Of Your Comfort Zone by Tania Gabrielle

Full Moon Message May 22: Live Your Truth
written by Tania Gabrielle
[source: CrystalWind.ca]

On May 21 we welcome an invigorating FULL Moon in Sagittarius.

It happens at 10:14 pm Universal Time (that’s in London), and 5:14 pm in New York (Eastern time) and 2:14 pm Pacific time – May 22 in Asia and Oceania.

This will be the first of TWO consecutive Full Moons in Sagittarius (the second happens on June 20).

What’ so exciting is that a highly fortunate Grand Trine with Jupiter and Pluto (activated during the New Moon on May 6) is being lit up in lights AGAIN!

There’s a big emphasis on bringing your life into balance, on being true to yourself and living your Truth… a powerful yin-yang rebalancing energy is happening in your life – as feminine Venus conjuncts the masculine Sun and they lie opposite masculine Mars in a very close conjunction with the feminine Moon.

This will be the first of TWO consecutive Full Moons in Sagittarius (the second happens on June 20).

At 1° Sagittarius with the Sun at 1° in Gemini, this Full Moon carries a very activeenergy.

With May’s 14/5 Universal Month energy setting the stage for liberation and joy,the opportunities for growth and abundance are great!

Enjoy the Freedom, Fun and Fabulous Shifts.

Have a beautiful Full Moon!

The Full Moon is upon us! Tomorrow, May 21 (May 22 in Asia/Oceania) we’ll be celebrating Sagittarius and the fortunate blessings of Jupiter.

Our feelings will be really expanded – as Mars will be exactly conjunct the Moon driving your energy to a place of emotional catharsis.

With Mars in retrograde motion and about to enter into Scorpio in a few days (Mars is the ancient ruler of Scorpio) where it will hang out for a few months, we’ll be revisiting the past – especially our relationships, by reflecting deeply on how we are utilizing our precious energy in all our personal connections.

Mars joining up with the Moon also means it is opposing the Sun – inviting us firmly to bring our energy into balance.

How are you allocating your energy? Are you conserving as much as sharing?

With Venus conjunct the Sun opposite the Moon/Mars… well, let’s just say you are fully immersed in very personal relationship themes in all parts of your life right now!

To bring things to a crescendo we have a powerful T-square between Jupiter (ruler of Sagittarius), Saturn and Neptune – a strong invitation to breathe, be patient, look within and explore closely what we really want to manifest in our lives – to be REAL – to make WISE choices.

May is a 14/5 Universal Month – an exhilarating energy of freedom surrounds this full moon.

The overarching theme is that you are to get OUT of your comfort zone.

If you stay in your comfort zone, you won’t ever truly know who you are. Your soul wants to EXPLORE itself fully at all times! That means you need to be open and willing to take risks!

The number 14/5 helps you pivot, bend, shift, move and explore NEW ways – so you go beyond your comfort zone.

Be true to Who You Are.

No matter what that looks like, no matter what that means.

It’s the easiest way to BE!

Look, if you try to live something you’re not, if you try to satisfy some false image imposed on you through conditioning and cultural expectations, if you try to be something that’s not natural to you, you’ll live a life of sorrow, regrets and misery – and that totally defeats the whole purpose of living!

It’s like walking through life in a pair of shoes that don’t fit. It hurts!

Express yourself however you’re comfortable.

Wear the shoes that fit your soul.

Express your feelings, your thoughts, be completely in the moment – totally authentic. Always.

Never make excuses for expressing your true joy.

Mercury is stationing direct right now, not moving at all during these next three days. Mercury, the Messenger it at its most powerful.

And Mercury’s message while joined with Sagittarius and Jupiter is:

Live Your Truth.
  • Living your Truth shifts you from the inside out day by day, moment by moment.
  • Living your Truth is how you grow and get out of your comfort zone.

If you stay in your comfort zone you don’t grow… you don’t learn, you don’t know who you are.

Don’t ever hold back.

Don’t give any attention to anyone else’s judgment or opinion of who you are being, who you are.

People judging you are only reflecting their own fear of growth, that’s all.

Allow them that freedom.

Just as you allow yourself the freedom to explore and be true to yourself.

Free yourself from being in any way attached to anyone else’s opinion of you! Just flow with the goodness of life! Welcome the bounty that’s within you – you, a divine being, know the goodness is eternally present!

Trust ALL is well, my friend.

It always is, when you live your truth.

Love and Blessings,
Tania Gabrielle

“A Time To Let It Go" - A Double Dose Of Sagittarius (Full Moon In May And June 2016)

A Double Dose Of Sagittarius
(Full Moon In May And June 2016)
written by Starlight Coach
[source: CrystalWind.ca]

We follow a Western calendar but we fail to ask why. This year in particular highlights the importance of moon cycles and how we should also recognize the value that Mother Nature has bestowed on us by starting and ending our month with a new and full moon. Moon cycles are important, whether we tune into the moon through a spiritual practice or more of a scientific method, it helps provide us with emotional and intuitive insights for our lives. The moon is historically associated with feminine attributes such as emotions, intuition and healing. It is also an excellent process to assess our wellbeing. A New Moon is a time to set new goals, wishes and dreams. The Full Moon is about letting go of anything that no longer serves us. It is a very practical skill to review, tune in and release every month in order to better understand where we are on a deep intuitive level. Regardless whether or not we choose to delve into our spiritual side – the moon cycles are great reminders to check in every month with our soul.

The month of May and June both have Full Moons in Sagittarius. This energy provides us a double dose of emotional and intuitive insights in Sagittarian matters. During these cycles we can improve our lives by expanding our awareness and seeing the bigger picture by using Sagittarian themes like seeking higher truths, faith, education and philosophy. The Full Moon in Sagittarius this May 21/22, 2016 is also a rare Blue Moon which is asking us to see the bigger picture and to check into our beliefs and ‘Let Go’ of perspectives that may be hindering us from expanding our consciousness to universal views. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter which is about expanding our awareness and also by Saturn which is asking us to ‘Let Go’ of all that hinders our ability to follow our truth and higher awareness. Saturn can be a restricting sign by cautioning us in ways we think is unfair, but really this time around it will be revealing to us (in a very beneficial way) everything that hinders us from living at a higher level of consciousness whether it be relationships, careers or home life.

That being said, the themes for these Full Moons are definitely a call from the universe saying “Let it go!” There may be literal or figurative quantum entanglements happening in our lives at this time. Where our home life is impacting our ability to choose a career we love or vice-versa. So let go of whatever is holding you back and trust that the universe has your back if you choose to live your truth, with a sense of adventure in mind and faith – as a Sagittarian would.

The Full Moon in May is aspected by the Mars (which is in Retrograde) and will be in opposition to the Sun in Venus. Mars is a fiery energy that may be steaming things up for you inside and because Mars is also in retrograde it is asking us to use this energy to tap into both our emotional and intuitive nature. What is it that really inspires you? What truly makes your heart burn with passion? Are your beliefs or perspectives aligned to these higher truths inside you? What is holding you back from truth and love? Venus when in the Sun will make harmonious aspects for us in our physical lives, but there may be some passions stirring deep within us yearning for something more.

Communication and mental agility is also a theme for June. Mercury will be moving direct on May 22, 2016 so our communication will speed back up. We may feel we are communicating more with others over the next month. Also, people will generally be more able to share and understand Sagittarian philosophical perspectives because Gemini, known to have a quick mind, is able to grasp these ideas quickly. In particular, this can impact our love lives, our goals and wishes and areas of our lives that require business partners and open communication channels. For instance, the Sun is in Gemini from May 20, 2016, Venus moves into Gemini on May 24, 2016, the New Moon is in Gemini on June 5th and Mercury moves into Gemini on June 12th, 2016.

The pivotal point of the whole year lands on the choices and wishes we vocalize to or with others around the time of the New Moon on June 4th, 2016. Gemini is a mutable and playful sign but it can have a dual nature (sign of the twins) so this energy may be looking for us to pair up with someone, like twins, in order to make our dreams a reality whether it be in business or in love. Also, during this time there is a pivotal Grand Cross in the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Pisces and Sagittarius). The energy of this Cross is one that highlights our whole year and is asking us to be flexible in our choices and our thinking. This is another highlight of the Sagittarian Full Moon theme.

The Grand Cross is symbolic of an Ezekiel prophesy and in Kabalistic literature the planets are symbolically related to the following: Jupiter in the lion, Saturn in the eagle, Neptune in the man & the sun, moon & Venus in the bull. This is symbolically alluded to by the prophet Ezekiel “…as for the likeness of their faces they four had a face of a man, a face of a lion, on the right side & they four had a face of an Ox on the left side they also had a face of an eagle.” Basically, what this Grand Cross or Ezekiel may have been depicting here is that we may be stretched in many areas of our lives and we are to expect major life changes during this time which can impact our own life path, our relationships, our domestic life and career. So whatever event or decision comes up for us around this time, it is best to use both an adventurous mindset (Sagittarius) and Gemini (partner-up) approach. Later on June 13th, 2016 Neptune, the planet that rules dreams and fantasy, goes retrograde so it will be a time to stop dreaming but actually living our reality because the “Grand Cross” changes are happening to help us finally make our dreams into reality. And by the Full Moon on June 20th, 2016 we can see some of our dreams coming true.

We can all thank the moon on this one – because as they say. It only happens once in a blue moon!

Many blessings,
Starlight Coach

The Parable of the Prodigal Son Shows God's Unconditional Love And Everlasting Mercy

sermon by Mary Fairchild
[source: Christianity.about.com]

Scripture Reference: Luke 15:11-32

The Prodigal Son - Story Summary:

The story of the Prodigal Son, also known as the Parable of the Lost Son, follows the parables of the Lost Sheep and the Lost Coin. Jesus is responding to the Pharisees' complaint: "This man welcomes sinners and eats with them."

Jesus tells the story of a man who has two sons. The younger son asks his father to give him his portion of the family estate as an early inheritance. Once received, the son promptly sets off on a long journey to a distant land and begins to waste his fortune on wild living. When the money runs out, a severe famine hits the country and the son finds himself in dire circumstances. He takes a job feeding pigs. He is so destitute that he even longs to eat the food assigned to the pigs.

The young man finally comes to his senses, remembering his father. In humility, he recognizes his foolishness, decides to return to his father and ask for forgiveness and mercy. The father who had been watching and waiting, receives his son back with open arms of compassion. He is overjoyed by the return of his lost son! Immediately the father turns to his servants and asks them to prepare a giant feast in celebration.

Meanwhile, the older son is not one bit happy when he comes in from working the fields and discovers a party going on to celebrate his younger brother's return. The father tries to dissuade the older brother from his jealous rage explaining, "You are always with me, and everything I have is yours."

Points of Interest from the Story:
  • Typically, a son would receive his inheritance at the time of his father's death. The fact that the younger brother instigated the early division of the family estate showed a rebellious and proud disregard for his father's authority, not to mention a selfish and immature attitude.
  • Pigs were unclean animals. Jews were not even allowed to touch pigs. When the son took a job feeding pigs, even longing for their food to fill his belly, it reveals that he had fallen as low as he could possibly go. This son represents a person living in rebellion to God. Sometimes we have to hit rock-bottom before we come to our senses and recognize our sin.
  • The father is a picture of the Heavenly Father. God waits patiently, with loving compassion to restore us when we return to him with humble hearts. He offers us everything in his kingdom, restoring full relationship with joyful celebration. He doesn't even dwell on our past waywardness.
  • Reading from the beginning of chapter 15, we see that the older son is clearly a picture of the pharisees. In their self-righteousness, they have forgotten to rejoice when a sinner returns to God. Bitterness and resentment keeps the older son from forgiving his younger brother. It blinds him to the treasure he freely enjoys through constant relationship with the father.
Questions for Reflection:

Who are you in this story? Are you a prodigal, a pharisee or a servant? Are you the rebellious son, lost and far from God? Are you the self-righteous pharisee, no longer capable of rejoicing when a sinner returns to God? Maybe you've hit rock-bottom, come to your senses and decided to run to God's open arms of compassion and mercy? Or are you one of the servants in the household, rejoicing with the father when a lost son finds his way home?

God's Everlasting Mercy... ♥

God's Everlasting Mercy
written by by Henry Morris III

God's mercy (and grace) is a monumental theme in Scripture, the English word appearing some 341 times in the Bible. The four Hebrew and three Greek words associated with this term appear a total of 454 times and are also translated as "kindness," "lovingkindness," "goodness," "favor," "compassion," and "pity." Of the sixty-six books of the Bible, only sixteen do not use one of these words for mercy. Even though "mercy" is an important concept, it is somewhat difficult to prescribe a definition, especially since "grace" is occasionally closely coupled with it.

However similar they may appear to be, these words are not synonyms. "Grace" is most often associated with the sovereign dispensing of totally undeserved favor, and is specifically connected to salvation. "Mercy" is more often connected to the withholding of judgment: "For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath showed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment" (James 2:13).

Psalm 136 repeats the theme "for His mercy endureth forever," each of the 26 verses listing incomparable aspects of God's kindness to us. As all of us begin the season of thanksgiving and celebration of God's bounty and provision (both physical and spiritual), join with me in refreshing our knowledge of His mercy.

God is good!

"It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness" (Lamentations 3:22-23).

"The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works" (Psalm 145:9).

"Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart" (Psalm 37:4).

God is above all and sovereign!

"Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity...because he delighteth in mercy.... He will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea" (Micah 7:18-19).

"The mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children" (Psalm 103:17).

Because He is the "King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God" (1 Timothy 1:17) and He is "the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords" (1 Timothy 6:15), we should therefore "give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever" (Psalm 136:3).

God does great wonders!

The creation of the universe stands out among all of the religions of the world as unique to the God of the Bible. It distinguishes all of the principalities and powers of this universe from the One who created the heavens and the earth (1 Corinthians 8:5-6). We cannot even understand the triune nature of God apart from what He has revealed of Himself in the creation (Romans 1:20). The very gospel of God has its everlasting foundation in the creation (Revelation 14:6-7). God's "signature" is written throughout the universe, so much so that He used the evidence of His design and authority integrated into the ecosystems of the earth to prove His deity to His servant Job (Job 39-40). We do well to honor "him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever" (Psalm 136:4).

God is a great deliverer!

The exodus of the nation of Israel from Egypt still stands as one of the most intriguing and awe-inspiring events of history. Nothing in the annals of human events comes close to the intervention of the "I AM THAT I AM" in the affairs of nations. God came "down to deliver" (Exodus 3:8) and to display His "signs and wonders" (Exodus 7:3) "against all the gods of Egypt" (Exodus 12:12). Never before or since has God taken "him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors" (Deuteronomy 4:34).

In the context of New Testament Christianity, our God has delivered us from "the power of Satan" (Acts 26:18) and "darkness" (Colossians 1:13) into "his marvelous light" (1 Peter 2:9). We have been set free from "the law of sin" (Romans 8:2) and from "this present evil world" (Galatians 1:4) to the "glorious liberty of the children of God" (Romans 8:21). The same God who "overthrew Pharaoh" is the Savior who will "deliver the godly out of temptations" (2 Peter 2:9) and "from every evil work" (2 Timothy 4:18) and has "given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust" (2 Peter 1:4).

God is a great provider!

There are three specific examples given in Psalm 136 of God's sovereign provision. He protects and shelters during the "wilderness." He makes possible victories over great "enemies." And He gives "food to all flesh" The details of God's provision and the many examples in the Scripture are inexhaustible. Yet in these three areas, we find hope for any situation "in time of need" (Hebrews 4:16).

Were it not for the promises of deliverance from our enemies so replete throughout the Scriptures, were it not for the hope that we would see deliverance "in the land of the living" (Psalm 27:13), and were it not for the confident knowledge that "evildoers shall be cut off" (Psalm 37:9), we could be in constant fear and torment. God does promise to bring us victory! We are told that He will fight for us! We are not left to our own devices! Jesus said, "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.... and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world" (Matthew 28:18-20).

Finally, while we are never to take God's provision for granted--"give us this day our daily bread" (Matthew 6:11)--we need to be reminded that the mercy of God extends far beyond the care of His own. "He maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust" (Matthew 5:45). God is "the God of the whole earth" (Isaiah 54:5). We often get caught up in trying to make provisions for a "rainy day" in a future that is unknowable and unsecured, but God knows that we "have need of all these things" (Matthew 6:32). Whatever our circumstances may be, God knows, understands, and will make sure that "his mercy endureth for ever"

Heavenly Father, we would give Thee thanks and praise for Thy great mercies to us this day. We acknowledge that our words are not sufficient to honor Thy majesty or our minds capable of understanding how to express our thanks. Yet we would offer them to Thee as all that our heart, our soul, and our mind can speak. Please accept them as offerings of a sweet smell before Thy throne.

Praise for the Lord’s Mercies

Psalm 103 New King James Version (NKJV)
[source: Biblegateway.com]

1 Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
3 Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
4 Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

6 The Lord executes righteousness
And justice for all who are oppressed.
7 He made known His ways to Moses,
His acts to the children of Israel.
8 The Lord is merciful and gracious,
Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.
9 He will not always strive with us,
Nor will He keep His anger forever.
10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor punished us according to our iniquities.

11 For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father pities his children,
So the Lord pities those who fear Him.
14 For He knows our frame;
He remembers that we are dust.

15 As for man, his days are like grass;
As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
16 For the wind passes over it, and it is gone,
And its place remembers it no more.[a]
17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting
On those who fear Him,
And His righteousness to children’s children,
18 To such as keep His covenant,
And to those who remember His commandments to do them.

19 The Lord has established His throne in heaven,
And His kingdom rules over all.

20 Bless the Lord, you His angels,
Who excel in strength, who do His word,
Heeding the voice of His word.
21 Bless the Lord, all you His hosts,
You ministers of His, who do His pleasure.
22 Bless the Lord, all His works,
In all places of His dominion.

Bless the Lord, O my soul!

Praise to the Sovereign Lord for His Creation and Providence

Psalm 104 New King James Version (NKJV)
[source: Biblegateway.com]

1 Bless the Lord, O my soul!
O Lord my God, You are very great:
You are clothed with honor and majesty,

2 Who cover Yourself with light as with a garment,
Who stretch out the heavens like a curtain.

3 He lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters,
Who makes the clouds His chariot,
Who walks on the wings of the wind,

4 Who makes His angels spirits,
His ministers a flame of fire.

5 You who laid the foundations of the earth,
So that it should not be moved forever,

6 You covered it with the deep as with a garment;
The waters stood above the mountains.

7 At Your rebuke they fled;
At the voice of Your thunder they hastened away.

8 They went up over the mountains;
They went down into the valleys,
To the place which You founded for them.

9 You have set a boundary that they may not pass over,
That they may not return to cover the earth.

10 He sends the springs into the valleys;
They flow among the hills.

11 They give drink to every beast of the field;
The wild donkeys quench their thirst.

12 By them the birds of the heavens have their home;
They sing among the branches.

13 He waters the hills from His upper chambers;
The earth is satisfied with the fruit of Your works.

14 He causes the grass to grow for the cattle,
And vegetation for the service of man,
That he may bring forth food from the earth,

15 And wine that makes glad the heart of man,
Oil to make his face shine,
And bread which strengthens man’s heart.

16 The trees of the Lord are full of sap,
The cedars of Lebanon which He planted,

17 Where the birds make their nests;
The stork has her home in the fir trees.

18 The high hills are for the wild goats;
The cliffs are a refuge for the rock badgers.

19 He appointed the moon for seasons;
The sun knows its going down.

20 You make darkness, and it is night,
In which all the beasts of the forest creep about.

21 The young lions roar after their prey,
And seek their food from God.

22 When the sun rises, they gather together
And lie down in their dens.

23 Man goes out to his work
And to his labor until the evening.

24 O Lord, how manifold are Your works!
In wisdom You have made them all.
The earth is full of Your possessions—

25 This great and wide sea,
In which are innumerable teeming things,
Living things both small and great.

26 There the ships sail about;
There is that Leviathan
Which You have made to play there.

27 These all wait for You,
That You may give them their food in due season.

28 What You give them they gather in;
You open Your hand, they are filled with good.

29 You hide Your face, they are troubled;
You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.

30 You send forth Your Spirit, they are created;
And You renew the face of the earth.

31 May the glory of the Lord endure forever;
May the Lord rejoice in His works.

32 He looks on the earth, and it trembles;
He touches the hills, and they smoke.

33 I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

34 May my meditation be sweet to Him;
I will be glad in the Lord.

35 May sinners be consumed from the earth,
And the wicked be no more.
Bless the Lord, O my soul!
Praise the Lord!

The Glory of God: I Am Alpha and Omega

I Am Alpha and Omega
[source: Desiring God]
Revelation 21:1-8

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband; and I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling of God is with men. He will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself will be with them; he will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away."
And he who sat upon the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." Also he said, "Write this, for these words are trustworthy and true." And he said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the fountain of the water of life without payment. He who conquers shall have this heritage, and I will be his God and he shall be my son. But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the polluted, as for murderers, fornicators, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their lot shall be in the lake that burns with fire and sulphur, which is the second death."
In Revelation 21:6 God identifies himself as "Alpha and Omega." Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet, and omega is the last letter of the alphabet. In other words God is "the beginning and the end."

But God isn't speaking about alphabets. He is speaking of reality. God is absolutely the beginning and absolutely the end. Everything that is originates ultimately in him. And everything will somehow end with him.

Isaiah puts it like this: "Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god" (44:6). In other words, since everything comes from God and nothing will outlast God, therefore God has no final competitors. "Besides me there is no god!" God has the first word and the last word in history. All other attempts to have the last word will fail. The pottery has no beginning apart from the Potter, and in the end it will all serve the purposes of the Potter.

Alpha

I can't urge you too often to meditate on the staggering truth that God is the absolute Alpha. Find some serene moment of your life and let the truth take hold of you that God is the FIRST—the BEGINNING. Before him there was nothing. There was no "before him." Just think of it! For millions and billions and trillions of unending years God existed and never had a beginning. He is the beginning. From everlasting to everlasting, he is God (Psalm 90:2). There never was a time when he was not.

We might marvel that God is infinite, eternal, and unchanging in his justice, wisdom, power, goodness, and truth. But when you pause to think that he never chose to be this way, nor did anyone else choose to make him this way, it staggers the mind. The justice and wisdom and power and goodness and truth of God are eternal reality. The character of God is not what reality brought forth. It is reality. God did not emerge out of many possibilities. Everything emerged out of him. He determines all possibilities. God is not a piece of reality that you try to fit in with other pieces. He is the first and the last and the all-encompassing reality: "In him we live and move and have our being" (Acts 17:28).

Omega

But the truth that I want us to focus on this morning is that God is Omega. I think that is the focus of our text in Revelation 21:6. The statement, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end," comes in a passage dealing with the end of history. So the special focus in this text is on God as the omega of all things.

What does it mean that God is Omega, or the end? Let's read verses 5–8. "And he who sat upon the throne said, 'Behold, I make all things new.' Also he said, 'Write this, for these words are trustworthy and true,' And he said to me, 'It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give water without price from the fountain of the water of life. He who conquers shall have this heritage, and I will be his God and he shall be my son. But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the polluted, as for murderers, fornicators, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their lot shall be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.'"

Difference Between Alpha and Omega

Difference Between Alpha and Omega

Even if one doesn’t know how to speak Greek, there is still a good chance he’d know and understand what “Alpha” and “Omega” are. The terms, particularly popularized by the Christian faith, have been used in many different contexts. Alpha and Omega essentially pertain to the extremes. Alpha in layman’s term is beginning, while Omega is ending. They have been reputed with those respective meanings chiefly due to Christian scriptures and teachings. But more than that, they represent a vast, rather universal array of meanings.

In the Greek alphabet, Alpha would be the first letter. It has a value of 1 in the Greek numerals system. Alpha bears a symbol that is similar to “A” in the English alphabet. Omega is the 24th and last letter. It has a value of 80. It is symbolized by the majuscule letter Ω.

Used as one of the various titles of Jesus Christ, alpha and omega will be found multiple times in the New Testament of Bible. In this context, it means the beginning and the end, largely signifying God’s eternity. “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending said the Lord”, Revelations 1:8. Most Christian denominations believe that it pertains to Jesus and God as they are one. “Alpha and omega” is interpreted to mean that “Jesus Christ existed from eternity and will exist eternally.” Most of it draws reference from the framework of the Trinity. Furthermore, the letters Alpha and Omega often appear in juxtaposition on Christian visuals and sculptures.

Alpha and Omega are casually used in everyday speech. Again the latter means the beginning, the first. The former means the end, the last. They are more often used together as a phrase, forming an idiom that simply means beginning to end, the basic meaning of something or the crucial part. For instance, “The apprentice had to know the alpha and omega of direct selling before he could even start working.” In that context it may also mean “entirety”. Another example would be “This little scrap book here contains the alpha and omega of my college life.”

In the fields of math and science, alpha and omega symbols are almost ubiquitous. Alpha particularly represents a number of concepts in chemistry and physics. These include alpha particles, alpha radiation, alpha carbon, angular acceleration, thermal expansion coefficient of a compound (physical chemistry), quantities in algebraic equations, etc. It is also used to coin the dominant individual in a pack of canines. Conversely, Omega has its own set of representations including ohm, the SI unit for electrical resistance, angular velocity in circular motion, multiplicity in statistical mechanics, baryons in particle physics, density parameter in astronomy, longitude of the ascending node of an orbit in orbital mechanics, solid angle in a gyroscope, Chaitin’s constant and many others. Omega is also apparent as a commercial brand logo such as the case of Omega Watches and PlayStation’s God of War logo.

Summary
  1. Alpha and Omega are letters in the Greek alphabet. Alpha, symbolized by “A” is the first, while Omega, represented by the majuscule letter Ω, is the 24th and last. The former has a value of 1 in the Greek numerical system, and the latter, 80.
  2. The words alpha and omega have been popularly attached to the Christian notions of the beginning and the ending respectively. The phrase alpha and omega has been used to refer to God’s eternal existence.
  3. Still retaining its Christian-inspired meaning, the phrase alpha and omega has been incorporated in everyday speech.
  4. Both alpha and omega are widely used in the fields of math, science, astronomy, and commerce among others.

Revelation 1 Alpha and Omega

Spoke 1
Revelation 1 Alpha and Omega
[source: Bible Wheel]
"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." [Revelation 1.8]
It is here in Revelation 1 - the first chapter of the last book - that we meet the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. The beginning and the end are united in the Alpha Omega as a symbol of the Everlasting God. The integration goes deeper with the verse index corresponding to the Katan (small) values (called the Reduction Class in the Gematria Reference) of the Letters Alpha and Omega. They are calculated by summing the digits of the Base Ten representation of the Number. These are also known as the digital roots. Thus, the Numbers 1 and 8 - the digital roots of Alpha and Omega - give the index of their debut in Scripture in Revelation 1.8, which means that the revelation of the divine title Alpha Omega is integrated with the numerical values of the letters (where RC indicates the Reduction Class value):

Revelation(1, 8) = Revelation(AlphaRC, OmegaRC)

The Alpha and Omega are intimately associated with the Creator. As discussed at length in the article called Gematria, these letters are numerically equivalent to the Greek phrase "The Creator." We have the identity:

Alpha + Omega = 801 = The Creator ()

Could there be any question that this is the work of God? "I am the Alpha and Omega" are the first words recorded from the mouth of the Creator here in the opening chapter of the Revelation of Jesus Christ! There are ten thousand converging lines of evidence - we have the Word of Almighty God revealed in Scripture!

The relations between the Letter Aleph/Alpha, the Number 1, the Almighty God and Creation are discussed in various articles linked from Spoke 1, in particular, the articles called Creation and The Everlasting God.

The Divine title Alpha and Omega is found three of four times in Revelation, depending on which textual tradition you follow (some traditions omit Alpha and Omega from Revelation 1.11). In any case, this title appears in three chapters - 1, 21, and 22 - so the first and last appearances of Alpha and Omega are found in the first and the last chapters of Revelation, and we see yet again the semantic content of Scripture is integrated with the geometric structure of the text. A similiar phenomenon is seen in the seven statements declaring God to be first and last, which are distributed on the first and the last Spokes in Isaiah and Revelation.

Characteristics of Self-Actualized People

Characteristics of Self-Actualized People
written by Kendra Cherry
[source: About]

Abraham Maslow proposed a hierarchy of needs that represented various needs that motivate human behavior. The hierarchy is often displayed as a pyramid, with lowest levels representing basic needs and more complex needs located at the top of the pyramid.

At the peak of this hierarchy is self-actualization. The hierarchy suggests that when the other needs at the base of the pyramid have been met, the individual can then focus their attention on this pinnacle need. Self-actualization is described as "…the desire for self-fulfillment, namely, to the tendency for him to become actualized in what he is potentially."

Self-Acceptance and Democratic World View
Self-actualized people tend to accept themselves and others as they are. They tend to lack inhibition and are able to enjoy themselves and their lives free of guilt. Other people are treated the same regardless of background, current status or other socio-economic and cultural factors.

Realistic
Another major characteristic of self-actualized people is a sense of realism. Rather than being fearful of things that are different or unknown, the self-actualized individual is able to view things logically and rationally.

Problem-Centered
Self-actualized individuals are often motivated by a strong sense of personal ethics and responsibility. They enjoy solving real-world problems and are often concerned with helping other people improve their own lives.

Peak Experiences
Self-actualization is also characterized by having frequent peak experiences. What exactly is a peak experience? According to Maslow, these "Feelings of limitless horizons opening up to the vision, the feeling of being simultaneously more powerful and also more helpless than one ever was before, the feeling of ecstasy and wonder and awe, the loss of placement in time and space with, finally, the conviction that something extremely important and valuable had happened, so that the subject was to some extent transformed and strengthened even in his daily life by such experiences."

Autonomy
The self-actualized individual does not conform to other people's ideas of happiness or contentment. This original perspective allows the individual to live in the moment and appreciate the beauty of each experience.

Solitude and Privacy
Self-actualized individuals value their privacy and enjoy solitude. While they also love the company of others, taking time to themselves is essential for personal discovery and cultivating individual potential.

Philosophical Sense of Humor
Self-actualized individuals generally have a thoughtful sense of humor. They are able to enjoy the humor in situations and laugh at themselves, but they do not ridicule or make fun at the expense of another person's feelings.

Spontaneity
Another characteristic of self-actualized people is a tendency to be open, unconventional and spontaneous. While these people are able to follow generally accepted social expectations, they do not feel confined by these norms in their thoughts or behaviors.

Enjoy the Journey
While self-actualized people have concrete goals, they do not see things as simply a means to an end. The journey toward achieving a goal is just as important and enjoyable as actually accomplishing the goal.

Once The Soul Awakens...♥ This Quote Is So Beautifully Expressed And So Very True.

“Once the soul awakens, the search begins and you can never go back. From then on, you are inflamed with a special longing that will never again let you linger in the lowlands of complacency and partial fulfillment. The eternal makes you urgent. You are loath to let compromise or the threat of danger hold you back from striving toward the summit of fulfillment.”

Imagine there is a bank account that credits your account each morning with $86,400. It carries over no balance from day to day.

Every evening the bank deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day. What would you do? Draw out every cent, of course?

Each of us has such a bank. It's name is TIME.

Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds.

Every night it writes off as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to a good purpose.

It carries over no balance. It allows no over draft. Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the remains of the day.

If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours. There is no drawing against "tomorrow."

You must live in the present on today's deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness and success!

The clock is running!! Make the most of today.

To realise the value of ONE YEAR, ask a student who failed a grade.

To realise the value of ONE MONTH, ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby.

To realise the value of ONE WEEK, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realise the value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.

To realise the value of ONE MINUTE, ask a person who just missed a train.

To realise the value of ONE SECOND, ask someone who just avoided an accident.

To realise the value of ONE MILLISECOND, ask the person who won a silver medal at the Olympics.

Treasure every moment that you have! And treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time with. And remember time waits for no one.

Words of Wisdom For You To Take In On This Beautiful Sunday... ♥

This Is A Great Story To Be Shared On This Mother's Day And Remembered For A Lifetime...♥

One young man went to apply for a managerial position in a big company. He passed the initial interview, and now would meet the director for the final interview.

The director discovered from his CV that the youth's academic achievements were excellent. He asked, "Did you obtain any scholarships in school?" the youth answered "no".

"Was it your father who paid for your school fees?"

"My father passed away when I was one year old, it was my mother who paid for my school fees.” he replied.

"Where did your mother work?"

"My mother worked as clothes cleaner.”

The director requested the youth to show his hands. The youth showed a pair of hands that were smooth and perfect.

"Have you ever helped your mother wash the clothes before?"

"Never, my mother always wanted me to study and read more books. Besides, my mother can wash clothes faster than me.

The director said, "I have a request. When you go home today, go and clean your mother's hands, and then see me tomorrow morning.

The youth felt that his chance of landing the job was high. When he went back home, he asked his mother to let him clean her hands. His mother felt strange, happy but with mixed feelings, she showed her hands to her son.

The youth cleaned his mother's hands slowly. His tear fell as he did that. It was the first time he noticed that his mother's hands were so wrinkled, and there were so many bruises in her hands. Some bruises were so painful that his mother winced when he touched it.

This was the first time the youth realized that it was this pair of hands that washed the clothes everyday to enable him to pay the school fees. The bruises in the mother's hands were the price that the mother had to pay for his education, his school activities and his future.

After cleaning his mother hands, the youth quietly washed all the remaining clothes for his mother.

That night, mother and son talked for a very long time.

Next morning, the youth went to the director's office.

The Director noticed the tears in the youth's eyes, when he asked: "Can you tell me what have you done and learned yesterday in your house?"

The youth answered," I cleaned my mother's hand, and also finished cleaning all the remaining clothes'

“I know now what appreciation is. Without my mother, I would not be who I am today. By helping my mother, only now do I realize how difficult and tough it is to get something done on your own. And I have come to appreciate the importance and value of helping one’s family.

The director said, "This is what I am looking for in a manager. I want to recruit a person who can appreciate the help of others, a person who knows the sufferings of others to get things done, and a person who would not put money as his only goal in life.”

“You are hired.”

This young person worked very hard, and received the respect of his subordinates. Every employee worked diligently and worked as a team. The company's performance improved tremendously.

A child, who has been protected and habitually given whatever he wanted, would develop an "entitlement mentality" and would always put himself first. He would be ignorant of his parent's efforts. When he starts work, he assumes that every person must listen to him, and when he becomes a manager, he would never know the sufferings of his employees and would always blame others. For this kind of people, who may be good academically, they may be successful for a while, but eventually they would not feel a sense of achievement. They will grumble and be full of hatred and fight for more. If we are this kind of protective parents, are we really showing love or are we destroying our children instead?

You can let your child live in a big house, eat a good meal, learn piano, watch on a big screen TV. But when you are cutting grass, please let them experience it. After a meal, let them wash their plates and bowls together with their brothers and sisters. It is not because you do not have money to hire a maid, but it is because you want to love them in a right way. You want them to understand, no matter how rich their parents are, one day their hair will grow gray, same as the mother of that young person. The most important thing is your child learns how to appreciate the effort and experience the difficulty and learns the ability to work with others to get things done.
