A US Senate staffer allegedly caught filming himself having sex in a Judiciary Committee hearing room no longer has his job, Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Maryland) said on X.

“Aidan Maese-Czeropski is no longer employed by the U.S. Senate. We will have no further comment on this personnel matter,” a Cardin spokeswoman told The Post.

Maese-Czeropski, a 24-year-old legislative aide, was accused of posting a video of himself in flagrante delicto with another man on a public X account. His face appeared to be clearly visible, according to The Spectator, which first broke the story Friday.

The roughly eight seconds of intercourse allegedly took place in the same room where nominees to the Supreme Court are grilled by senators and where former FBI boss James Comey once testified about alleged Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. Graphic video of the moment was published by The Daily Caller Friday evening.

Maese-Czeropski previously was featured in an ad for President Biden — earning a shoutout from his mother’s now deleted X account.

"Thank you for including my son, Aidan Maese-Czeropski, in your thoughtful message to everyone who has supported you,” the staffer’s mother said in a November 2020 post. “He has worked tirelessly with the DNC of Virginia. Congratulations to All!!”

The same year, he apparently wrote on the payment platform Venmo, “I want Joe Biden to spit in my mouth.”

WASHINGTON (TND) — Social justice blog Afru received sharp rebukes from commenters Tuesday after publishing an article likening a Senate staffer fired for his involvement in a sex tape recorded in a Senate hearing room to Anne Frank.

In the piece, titled “Fired for his act of love in the senate,” the outlet defends Aidan Maese-Czeropski as having committed a “brave” and “rebellious” act of love when he allegedly filmed himself having sex with another male in Room 216 of the Hart Senate Office Building.
We get it. It’s the most important room in America,” the outlet wrote. “But in a world built on hate, displays of love are inherently rebellious. Every second that Aidan and his partner made love in the halls of power was pregnant with poignant meaning.”
The authors then went on the liken the act to those of Anne Frank, a Jewish girl who documented life while hiding from Nazi persecution during World War II.

“In some ways, Aidan’s act mirrored that of Anne Frank, who dared to express her honest thoughts and feelings even as she hid from rabid insurrectionist-style death squads,” they wrote. “Aidan’s prosecution by the Capitol police is blatant political corruption and weaponization of justice against a marginalized person. Aidan’s persecution by right-wing nutbars writ large is a threat to his life and the life of every LGBTQ individual in this country.”

Afru’s other pieces include “5 essential tips for landing and keeping a (rich) older man,” “Is coffee racist? How drinking coffee perpetuates white supremacy” and “Drag queen pastors are here, and they’re saving the Church.”

The Congressional staffer who appeared in a gay pornographic video filmed in a Senate hearing room has been fired.

Senator Ben Cardin’s (D-MD) office released a statement Saturday that Aidan Maese-Czeropski is no longer employed by the U.S. Senate.

“We will have no further comment on this personnel matter,” the statement read.

The graphic video that led to the firing, first released in a bombshell report from the Daily Caller, sent shockwaves throughout Washington. The leaked video footage shows a congressional staffer, later identified as Maese-Czeropski, having anal sex with an unknown man on a table in the Senate hearing room, where senators often sit to ask questions during hearings.

Before his firing was made public, Maese-Czeropski posted a statement on his LinkedIn profile.

“This has been a difficult time for me, as I have been attacked for who I love to pursue a political agenda,” he remarkably claimed. “While some of my actions in the past have shown poor judgement, I love my job and would never disrespect my workplace. Any attempts to characterize my actions otherwise are fabricated,” he continued, “and I will be exploring what legal options are available to me in these matters.”

On his LinkedIn profile, Maese-Czeropski says he began working for Cardin as a staff assistant in 2021. He is a graduate of the ultraliberal University of California, Berkeley, leaving in 2021 after obtaining a degree in Society & Environment.

The Daily Caller identified the hearing room in the video as the Senate Judiciary Committee Room in the Senate Hart Office Building. In that location, the influential committee debates and considers all judicial nominations for the federal judiciary.

Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD) on Monday expressed dismay at a video purportedly showing his since-fired staffer filming himself engaging in explicit sexual activity in a congressional hearing room.

Cardin made his first comments to reporters just off the Senate cloakroom after evening votes, just two days after terminating Aidan Maese-Czeropski’s employment as a legislative aide over the now-viral video.

“I was angry, disappointed. It's a breach of trust so all of the above,” the Maryland senator said. “It’s a tragic situation, and it’s presented a lot of anger and frustration. I’m concerned about our staff and the way that they feel about this.”

Asked if he had received an apology from Maese-Czeropski, Cardin said he had not spoken to him directly.

Explicit video footage was published Friday that purportedly showed two men engaging in sexual intercourse on the dais of a Senate hearing room. The Daily Caller, which obtained the pornographic material on Friday, reported that the footage was filmed by a congressional staffer inside the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing room in the Hart Senate Office Building, which is known for high-profile confirmation hearings for Supreme Court justices.

Although the outlet did not name the staffer in question, Maese-Czeropski's name was subsequently widely shared on social media.

The footage was published hours after the American Spectator reported that a male staffer in Cardin's office had been filming pornographic videos in the Capitol. While the person was not identified, the report references one of the individual staffer’s social media accounts, to which he allegedly posts sexually explicit images and videos.

Maese-Czeropski, 24, has not confirmed that he was one of the two men in the pornographic video, instead taking to social media on Friday to largely absolve himself of responsibility for the video and threaten legal action. The post, published to his LinkedIn, has since been deleted along with Maese-Czeropski’s account.

The U.S. Capitol Police told the Washington Examiner over the weekend that it was investigating the matter, which Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) predicted would end in some manner of criminal charges.

“I think there's gonna be an investigation, and I think there will probably be a criminal prosecution is my best guess,” Kennedy told the Washington Examiner on Monday evening.

For his part, Cardin told reporters on Monday that he was cooperating with Capitol Police's investigation into the matter.
