Tension and fear is high in towns surrounding Chile's Calbuco volcano, after the sleeping giant awoke this week, sending spectacular plumes of ash into the sky.
This week was the volcano's first eruption in 42 years. The blasts that began Wednesday, creating a remarkable scene of smoke plumes and ash shooting more than 6 miles into the sky. Calbuco had another spectacular outburst early Thursday with lightning crackling through a dark sky turned reddish orange by the explosion. More smoke was seen coming from the volcano Friday, and experts warn it could erupt again.
NASA's Earth Observatory satellites captured images of the smoking volcano from space Friday.
About 1,500 people in Ensenada, in the foothills of the volcano, were told to evacuate earlier this week, essentially turning it into a ghost town, The Associated Press reported. A new round of evacuations came Friday as ash and mud were detected in a nearby river.
Authorities said the evacuees from the towns of Chamiza, Lago Chapo and Correntoso would stay at shelters in the nearby city of Puerto Montt.
The height of the volcanic ash emitted triggered concerns that the dust could contaminate water, trigger respiratory illnesses and halt more flights. No injuries have been reported.
The first blast surprised Chilean emergency officials, who were left with only minutes to issue an alert.
"People went into a state of panic," said Miguel Silva Diaz, an engineer who lives in Puerto Montt, a city about 14 miles from the volcano. "Then, at around 1 a.m., I heard a loud noise, as if somebody had detonated an atomic bomb."
Parts of Argentina reported heavy ash falling after the eruption. According to analysis by Argentina's meteorological service, the ash cloud was shot as high as 40,000 feet.
Meteorologist Chris Dolce of The Weather Channel pointed out that you could see the first eruption via infrared satellite. The second eruption was also visible on satellite even as the ash plume from the first eruption drifted north.
Authorities evacuated 4,000 people as gas and ash continued to spew, and they closed access to the area around the volcano, which lies near the cities of Puerto Varas and Puerto Montt, some 620 miles south of Santiago.
"I was shocked. I had just arrived home when I looked through the window and saw the column of smoke rising up. We called our families, posted photos," said Daniel Palma, a psychologist who lives in Puerto Varas.
"We woke up today with a blanket of fog and it hasn't cleared. We have a layer of smoke above us," Palma said, adding that many were concerned about the possible effects of the ash on their health.
President Michelle Bachelet declared a state of emergency, saying the eruption of Calbuco was "more serious and unpredictable" than the one last month at the Villarica volcano, which also forced the evacuation of thousands.
"We don't have any problems with supplies, water or sewage up to now. That's not the problem," said Bachelet, who visited the area Thursday. "Our problem is a respiratory one, from inhaling all of this ash, and the fact that this ash could generate some sort of environmental contamination."
The short-term dangers related to the ash also include eye and skin infections as well as water contamination, said Bernardo Martorell, a physician and the head of the sanitary planning division at Chile's health ministry.
"That's why the people in the area need to evacuate," Martorell said.
Meanwhile, the Chilean national geology and mining service has warned that people should prepare for an "even more aggressive eruption."
Ash continued to fall Thursday in Puerto Montt and other nearby cities, said Patricio Vera, director of a local radio station. Vera said that after the initial eruption, hundreds of people rushed to buy gasoline, forcing stations to ration sales, while supermarkets closed early to avoid the risk of looting.
The 6,500 foot Calbuco last erupted in 1972 and is considered one of the top three most potentially dangerous among Chile's 90 active volcanos.
LATAM and other airline companies cancelled flights to and from Puerto Montt because airborne ash can severely damage jet engines.
In 2011, a volcano in the Caulle Cordon of southern Chile erupted violently, forcing the cancellation of hundreds of flights and the evacuation of more than 3,500 people. Thick, abrasive soot coated slopes in the ski resort city of San Carlos de Bariloche, over the border in Argentina.
By Thursday afternoon, much ash had made its way to Villa La Angostura, Argentina, a small town about 56 miles (90 kilometers) northeast of Calbuco. Cars and streets were coated with a thin layer of ash, but people were otherwise going about their business.
"We are praying that the volcanic activity will be as short as possible," said mayor Roberto Cacaults.
Okay what do you see in the grid? This is a column of smoke from Calbuco Chile. It has produced a strange form of pareidolia that appears to be an angel of death! This is really creepy!

Dutchsinse writes: April 21, 2015 : Yet another large eruption has occurred at Sakurajima volcano in South Japan.
Sakurajima volcano is like an gauge or a meter which lets us know seismic activity is picking up in the Pacific.
Each time we see Sakurajima volcano experience a series of large eruptions, we see large earthquakes strike the region shortly thereafter -- usually within 1-2 weeks of the volcanic activity.. at least a 6.5M (or greater) strikes the area adjacent to this particular volcano.
There will be times where this volcano does not show activity for multiple days (or sometimes weeks), and then a flurry of eruptions will occur, followed by a large earthquake either Northeast or Southwest of this location in South Japan.
This past week , 2nd week of April 2015, we saw a dramatic increase in eruptions at Sakurajima, followed on April 19th-20th with a SERIES of large earthquakes Southwest of Sakurajima in Taiwan.
See the information on the Taiwan earthquakes HERE.
Monday April 27, 2015: Strong activity continues from the volcano. This morning (14:24 local time), an explosion at the Showa crater sent a plume to 15,000 ft (4.5 km) altitude that drifted north.
Saturday April 25, 2015: Strong vulcanian explosions have been occurring at the volcano, which remains in a state of elevated activity. During the past 48 hours, at least 17 explosions with ash plumes up to 16,000 ft (5 km) altitude occurred. This approaches the record levels of activity observed during the summer 2013.
Wednesday April 22, 2015: The volcano has been very active recently. Vulcanian-type explosions have been frequent (2-8 per day) and often relatively large. On 15 April, at least 8 explosions occurred, the largest of which produced ash plumes that rose to 15,000 ft (4.5 km altitude), i.e. 3.5 km above the volcano's summit.
Friday March 27, 2015: The volcano is currently in a very active phase. During the past 24 hours alone, at least 14 vulcanian explosions occurred, the largest of which produced ash plumes that rose to 11-13,000 ft (3-4 km) altitude.
Wednesday March 18, 2015: The volcano remains in a very active phase with 5-10 daily explosions. An eruption on 16 March produced an ash plume to 14,000 ft (4.2 km) altitude, i.e. rising approx. 3 km above the Showa crater.
Wednesday March 11, 2015: The volcano continues to produce frequent strombolian to vulcanian-type explosions, often accompanied by long-lasting periods of ash emissions. Our friends Marc Szlegat and Martin Rietze visited the volcano last week. Some impressions of this activity can be seen on this page.
Wednesday March 4, 2015: The volcano has had at least 7 explosions during the past 24 hours, including 3 which produced ash plumes to 10-12,000 ft (3-3.6 km) altitude. Most ash drifted to easterly directions, causing lots of light ash fall in that sector.
PESHAWAR - A severe storm in northwest Pakistan, dubbed a "mini-cyclone", has killed 44 people and injured more than 200, officials said Monday, raising their previous death toll.
Intense rain and strong winds buffeted the city of Peshawar and adjacent districts late Sunday, felling trees, causing dozens of roofs and walls to collapse and blocking many roads.
The injured include nearly 100 children, according to officials, while farmers have seen their produce badly affected.
"At least 44 people have been killed and 202 wounded. The storm followed by heavy rain and hailstorm has severely damaged wheat crops and orchards," Provincial Information Minister Mushtaq Ghani told AFP.
Ghani said that authorities were estimating the losses and expressed fear that hundreds of cattle have been killed.
Electricity was still suspended in Peshawar, the capital of northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, and in parts of two nearby districts, Nowshera and Charsadda.
Ghani said at least 29 people were killed in Peshawar, 10 in Charsadda and five in Nowshera.
Aamir Afaq, a senior official of the provincial disaster management authority, confirmed the death toll and told AFP that efforts were underway "to provide food, shelters and emergency medical services to the affectees".
An AFP reporter in Peshawar said rescue workers were removing fallen trees to open roads while engineers from mobile phone companies were repairing the towers.
On Sunday evening, flood waters from the torrential rain reached a depth of a metre (three feet) in some parts of the city, which is home to more than three million people.
Initial estimates had put the death toll at 26 with 180 injured.
The military has been called in to boost rescue efforts, using ground-penetrating radars, concrete cutters and sniffer dogs, according to a tweet by the army spokesman.
Safety standards, particularly in construction, are very lax in nuclear-armed but economically underdeveloped Pakistan.
Many of the more than 200 killed in last year's heavy monsoon rains died after roofs collapsed.
Poor construction was also blamed for the collapse of the Margalla Towers apartment block in Islamabad in a 2005 earthquake, killing 78 people.
The city of Peshawar is also at the forefront of Pakistan's battle against a homegrown Islamist insurgency that rose up in 2004 following the US-led invasion of Afghanistan and the migration of Al-Qaeda and Taliban militants to the country's border tribal areas.
Thai customs officers check confiscated smuggled African elephant tusks during a press conference at the Customs Department in Bangkok, Thailand, on April 27, 2015. -- PHOTO: EPA
BANGKOK - More than three tonnes of elephant ivory have been found at a Thai port stashed in a container shipped from Kenya, customs said on Monday, the second huge haul of tusks from Africa in less than a week.
The discovery, which would be worth millions of dollars on the black market, was destined for Laos where the illegal ivory trade flourishes.
Some 511 pieces of ivory, weighing over three tonnes, was found on April 25 in a container "marked as tea leaves transported from Mombasa, Kenya, and on to Laos", Thai customs said in a statement.
Scores of whole tusks - some nearly 2m long - were among the pieces seized.
A record four tonnes of African elephant ivory was seized at Bangkok's main port on April 20, in a container that arrived from the Democratic Republic of Congo and was also destined for Laos.
Once in neighbouring Laos, the authorities believe the ivory would likely be sold on to buyers from China, Vietnam or back into Thailand, countries where ivory ornaments are coveted despite fears the trade is pushing wild elephants to extinction.
Laos "is increasingly being used as a major transit point for such large volumes of illicit ivory and other wildlife products", Chris Shepherd of conservation group Traffic told AFP.
"The increase in large-scale seizures is of great concern. Whether the ivory is coming from freshly killed elephants, or from stockpiles of ivory in Africa, needs to be investigated," he added.
Conservationists say poaching and conflict has destroyed large numbers of African elephants in the wild, prompting experts to warn the species could be wiped out within decades.
Thailand has launched a crackdown on the ivory trade amid mounting international pressure.
Global regulator Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (Cites) has threatened an international ban on Thailand's entire wildlife business if it fails to curb the trade in tusks on its soil.
Under Thai law, registered ivory from domesticated Thai elephants can be sold. But experts say that loophole allows criminal gangs to launder poached African ivory through the kingdom.
Thailand's fishing industry is also under scrutiny for exploitation of migrant workers and over-fishing.
Last week the European Union threatened to ban Thai fish imports unless the kingdom does more to halt illegal fishing.
Thailand is the world's third largest seafood producer and an European Union ban could cost it around US$1 billion annually.

Imagine there is a bank account that credits your account each morning with $86,400. It carries over no balance from day to day.
Every evening the bank deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day. What would you do? Draw out every cent, of course?
Each of us has such a bank. It's name is TIME.
Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds.
Every night it writes off as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to a good purpose.
It carries over no balance. It allows no over draft. Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the remains of the day.
If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours. There is no drawing against "tomorrow."
You must live in the present on today's deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness and success!
The clock is running!! Make the most of today.

Sweet Inspiration by Barbra Streisand
I need your sweet inspiration
I need you here on my mind
Every hour of the day
Without your sweet inspiration
The lonely hours of the night
Just don't go my way
Wanting you the way I do
I only want to be with you
And I would go to the ends of the earth
'Cause darling, to me that's what you're worth
I need your sweet inspiration
I need you here on my mind
Every hour of the day
Without your sweet inspiration
The lonely hours of the night
Just don't go my way
Oh, a woman in love needs sweet inspiration
And honey that's all I ask, you know
That's all I ask from you
I gotta have your sweet inspiration
You know there just ain't no tellin'
What a satisfied woman might do
Wanting you the way I do (sweet, sweet)
Only want to be with you (sweet, sweet)
Gonna follow where you lead (sweet, sweet)
Baby you're just what I need
Your sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet inspiration
And honey that's all I ask, you know
That's all I ask from you
I gotta have your sweet inspiration
You know there just ain't no telling
What a satisfied woman can do
I'm sitting here at home relaxing watching the 1961 timeless classic West Side Story movie musical and Tony starts to sing this song. It sparked something wonderful in me. While I like his version, I seriously had to pause the movie to listen to Barbra's version. I need some inspiration! I listened to it once sitting in my desk chair feeling the music flow through my body with a huge smile on my face. Then I played it again and couldn't resist getting up from my chair and performing to the song in my living room. My cats are used to it lol ;)
Life may seem a bit confusing at times and we may not be where we would like to be yet. But that doesn't mean we can't still be happy. So we might as well pop open a bottle of wine and play some amazing feel good music in the midst of it... ;) We may not be able to fully control the situation around us, but we can control how we choose to respond to it, right! Let's celebrate, get excited about life again and what our future holds. ;)
This is such a GREAT song!!! YES SOMETHING GREAT IS COMING, I CAN FEEL IT IN MY BONES!!! The person who made this video did an AMAZING JOB! "The video includes a crossover motion picture presenting Babra's acting and performing career from 1961 to 1985."
Something's Coming ~ by Barbra Streisand

Woot! I'm listening to TWC 80's music channel while cleaning my house. This song came on and had to share with you. Made me smile, hoping it would do the same for you. The lyrics are totally awesome!!! This is a classic 80's tune! Enjoy :D
In A Big Country (1983)
by the band Big Country
Ha
I've never seen you look like this without a reason
Another promise fallen through, another season passes by you
Shock
I never took the smile away from anybody's face
And that's a desperate way to look for someone who is still a child
In a big country, dreams stay with you
Like a lover's voice fires the mountainside
Stay alive
I thought that pain and truth were things that really mattered
But you can't stay here with every single hope you had shattered
I'm not expecting to grow flowers in a desert
But I can live and breathe and see the sun in wintertime
In a big country, dreams stay with you
Like a lover's voice fires the mountainside
Stay alive
In a big country, dreams stay with you
Like a lover's voice fires the mountainside
Stay alive
So take that look out of here, it doesn't fit you
Because it's happened doesn't mean you've been discarded
Pull up your head off the floor, come up screaming
Cry out for everything you ever might have wanted
I thought that pain and truth were things that really mattered
But you can't stay here with every single hope you had shattered
Shock, 1, 2
I'm not expecting to grow flowers in a desert
But I can live and breathe and see the sun in wintertime
Watching one of my favorite inspirational movies, October Sky, on PopTV. Follow your dreams, even when the voices around you think you're crazy. Tune them out.
Remember it's your life, not theirs. You're the one who has to live with the outcome, not them. Encourage yourself. Don't give up. ♥
I was just listening to a song my friend just shared on facebook and I was lead by the Spirit to listen to this song that left me bawling my eyes out.
I'm sharing because there may be many of my readers that need to hear this message too. Hugs...♥
The Battle Is Not Yours
~ by Yolanda Adams
There is no pain, Jesus can't feel
There is no hurt, that He can not heal
For all things work
According to the His perfect will
No matter what you're going thru
Remember God is using you
For the battle is not yours
Its the Lord's
There's no sadness, Jesus can't feel
And there is no sorrow
That He can not heal
For all things work
According to the Master's holy will
No matter what you're going thru
Remember that God is only using you
For this battle is not yours
Its the Lord's
It's the Lord's. (Its the Lord's)
Yes its the Lord's (It is the Lord's)
Hold your head up high (Hold your head up high)
(You belong to the most high God you don't need to cry)
Don't you cry its the Lord's
Its the Lord's (Its the Lord's)
Yeah yeah yes its the Lord's (It's the Lord's)
No matter what (No matter what)
You're going thru (Thru)
Remember that God only wants to use you
(Only using you for His glory)
No matter what (No matter what)
You happen to go thru right now (Thru)
Remember that in the midst of it
God only wants to use you
(God is using you for His glory)
No matter what it is that you're going thru (Thru)
(No matter what)
Hold your head up
Stick your chest out
And remember He is using you
For this battle is not yours, alone
This battle is not yours, no
You can not handle it all by yourself
No, no, no, no, no, no
This battle is not yours
The Lord is the only one who can fight it
He wants to use you as His vessel
So be open to Him
I have a friend named Monty Roberts who owns a horse ranch in San Ysidro. He has let me use his house to put on fund-raising events to raise money for youth at risk programs.
The last time I was there he introduced me by saying, “I want to tell you why I let Jack use my horse. It all goes back to a story about a young man who was the son of an itinerant horse trainer who would go from stable to stable, race track to race track, farm to farm and ranch to ranch, training horses. As a result, the boy’s high school career was continually interrupted. When he was a senior, he was asked to write a paper about what he wanted to be and do when he grew up.
“That night he wrote a seven-page paper describing his goal of someday owning a horse ranch. He wrote about his dream in great detail and he even drew a diagram of a 200-acre ranch, showing the location of all the buildings, the stables and the track. Then he drew a detailed floor plan for a 4,000-square-foot house that would sit on a 200-acre dream ranch.
“He put a great deal of his heart into the project and the next day he handed it in to his teacher. Two days later he received his paper back. On the front page was a large red F with a note that read, `See me after class.’
“The boy with the dream went to see the teacher after class and asked, `Why did I receive an F?’
“The teacher said, `This is an unrealistic dream for a young boy like you. You have no money. You come from an itinerant family. You have no resources. Owning a horse ranch requires a lot of money. You have to buy the land. You have to pay for the original breeding stock and later you’ll have to pay large stud fees. There’s no way you could ever do it.’ Then the teacher added, `If you will rewrite this paper with a more realistic goal, I will reconsider your grade.’
“The boy went home and thought about it long and hard. He asked his father what he should do. His father said, `Look, son, you have to make up your own mind on this. However, I think it is a very important decision for you.’ “Finally, after sitting with it for a week, the boy turned in the same paper, making no changes at all.
He stated, “You can keep the F and I’ll keep my dream.”
Monty then turned to the assembled group and said, “I tell you this story because you are sitting in my 4,000-square-foot house in the middle of my 200-acre horse ranch. I still have that school paper framed over the fireplace.” He added, “The best part of the story is that two summers ago that same schoolteacher brought 30 kids to camp out on my ranch for a week.” When the teacher was leaving, he said, “Look, Monty, I can tell you this now. When I was your teacher, I was something of a dream stealer. During those years I stole a lot of kids’ dreams. Fortunately you had enough gumption not to give up on yours.”
“Don’t let anyone steal your dreams. Follow your heart, no matter what.”
I am so elated Cinemax is showing Somewhere In Time to a new generation. I wish it would get more air time. The video above is one of my favorite scenes from this timeless classic. This movie was not a big hit when it was first released in 1980. In fact, it was a flop. But years later, those who were deeply touched by this movie turned it into a cult movie and now have a huge following. Avid fans meet annually at The Grand Hotel in Mackinac Island, Michigan where this movie was filmed. The soundtrack is AMAZING too! I still want to cry when I hear Rachmaninov: Rhapsody On A Theme Of Paganini by John Barry. In this scene, one of the main characters named Elise Mckenna, played by Jane Seymour, has re-written the entire first scene from the play she is acting in. Her heartfelt message is for Richard Collier, played by Christopher Reeve, who is sitting in the audience taken totally by surprise.
"The man of my dreams is almost faded now. The one I have created in my mind. The sort of man each woman dreams of in the deepest and most secret reaches of her heart. I can almost see him now before me. What would I say to him if he were really here? Forgive me. I've never known this feeling, I've lived without it all my life. Is it any wonder, then, I failed to recognize you? You've brought it to me for the first time. Is there any way that - that I can tell you how my life has changed? Any way at all to let you know what sweetness you have given me? There is so much to say. I can't find the words, except for these... I love you. And that's what I'd say to him if he were really here."
I'll be watching this tonight for the gazillionth time. In heaven. :) ♥

1 Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2 Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.
3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
6 When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. 7 Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. 8 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. 9 And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation. 10 For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. 11 So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.
Adam and Christ Contrasted
12 When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. 13 Yes, people sinned even before the law was given. But it was not counted as sin because there was not yet any law to break. 14 Still, everyone died—from the time of Adam to the time of Moses—even those who did not disobey an explicit commandment of God, as Adam did. Now Adam is a symbol, a representation of Christ, who was yet to come. 15 But there is a great difference between Adam’s sin and God’s gracious gift. For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ. 16 And the result of God’s gracious gift is very different from the result of that one man’s sin. For Adam’s sin led to condemnation, but God’s free gift leads to our being made right with God, even though we are guilty of many sins. 17 For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.
18 Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone. 19 Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.
20 God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant. 21 So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
20 Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. 21 He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises. 22 And because of Abraham’s faith, God counted him as righteous. 23 And when God counted him as righteous, it wasn’t just for Abraham’s benefit. It was recorded 24 for our benefit, too, assuring us that God will also count us as righteous if we believe in him, the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25 He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised to life to make us right with God.
One of the major differences between Christianity and other religions is that God of the Bible is infinitely holy. The Hebrew word, "to be holy" is quadash, it is derived from the root word qud, which means to cut or separate. God is absolutely separated and is above from all his creatures and he is exalted above in infinite majesty."Who among the gods is like you, O LORD? Who is like you; majestic in holiness, awesome in glory" (Exodus 15:11) In fact some of the most vivid displays of God's holiness is displayed in the Old Testament. One of the greatest passages is found in Isaiah chapter six.
HOLY, HOLY, HOLY IS THE LORD
Isaiah prophesied during the reign of four kings over a period of sixty years. One of the kings that lived during Isaiahs time was king Uzziah. He became a king when he was 16 years old and reigned the nation for 52 years. Now that is a pretty long time. Its like American people experiencing 13 presidents ruling in their 4 year terms. It was like saying, long live the king, as generations have experienced the rule of Uzziah. But the king died. When he died, apparently the entire nation was feeling a sense of panic and fear, as their leader is dead. Isaiah the prophet went to the temple of God, and he sees another king, an eternal King, sitting on his throne.
"In the year that king Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple." (Isaiah 6:1)
When you see the word Lord, here it refers to Adhonay in Hebrew meaning the sovereignty of God. But when you see the word LORD in capital, it refers to the name of God, Yahweh.
The human king is dead but the sovereign king of the Universe is alive, His Kingship is forever and it never ends. This is a picture of His majesty, His glory and power. The exalted one who became a servant. Yes, he is the one who became flesh. Apostle John said, "Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus glory and spoke about him." (John 12:41)
Isaiah 6:2 says, "Above him were seraphs, each with six wings, with two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying."
These angels were created and designed to proclaim the holiness of God. They were flying with two wings above the throne of God. This is the exaltation of his throne. Then it says that they covered their feet with two wings. Why did they cover their feet? In Exodus chapter three we see how God appeared to Moses in a burning bush. God said to Moses, "Do not come any closer; take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground." (Exodus 3:5) But this is just a normal place, where Moses is familiar with this area. Why is it that only now this spot suddenly became holy? Whenever God's presence appears everything becomes sanctified. It was God's presence that made the ground holy. When God descended in a fire to Mt. Sinai, prior to that he told the people to consecrate themselves. (Exodus 19) Here in Isaiah the angels cover their feet because of the presence of God's holiness. Just imagine, if we see an angel, that would be awesome. But even the angels are covering their feet as God's holiness brings his absolute majesty and glory.
Then it says with two wings they covered their face. Do you know why the angels cover their faces? In Exodus 33:18, Moses asked the Lord to show His glory. God said, "You cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live." (Exodus 33:20) It is absolutely impossible to see the infinite glory of His majesty, not even the angelic creatures, How awesome is His glory! Then God told Moses, "You may stand on a rock. When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand, until I passed by. Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen." (Exodus 33:22-23)
The God of the Universe is infinitely holy, even these angelic beings cannot see the full glory of Him.
Then in Isaiah 6:3, the angels were calling to one another:
"Holy, Holy, Holy is the LORD almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory."
This is the only time in the Bible an attribute of God being repeated three times. The Bible say that God is love, but not love, love, love. According to Jewish custom, when they wanted to emphasize a point they repeated it two times. Jesus said, "Truly, truly I say unto you" This mean it is absolutely truly what he was going to say. But here in Isaiah God's holiness is repeated not to the second degree but to the third degree, which means he is infinitely holy. On the other hand the Antichrist is called with the number 666, repeated to the third degree of evil.
The holiness of God is somewhat different than all His other attributes, as God is holy in all His attributes. He is holy in His Goodness, holy in his Justice, holy in His Wrath, etc., He is majestic in His Holiness, because His name is Holy. In the past the name of a person reflects the character of that individual. God's name is holy, that means all what he thinks and does is holy. "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name" (Matt. 6:9) "For this is what the high and lofty One says, who lives forever, whose name is holy; I live in high and holy place" (Isaiah 57:15)
The scribes who copied one manuscript to another, when it came to the name of God, they used another pen, and even if a king was passing by when he was writing the name of God, the scribe will not look at the king as the name of God is infinitely holy than anything else.
We can never fully understand the holiness of God. It is immeasurable. He is infinitely holy and the ten commandments reveal his holiness to mankind. Thats why no one can keep the commandments, we all fall short fall of His glory.
Question: "What does it mean that Jesus is King of kings and Lord of lords?"
Answer: The phrase “king of kings” is used in Scripture six times, three of which refer to the Lord Jesus (1 Timothy 6:15; Revelation 17:14, 19:16). The other three (Ezra 7:12; Ezekiel 26:7; Daniel 2:37) refer to either Artaxerxes or Nebuchadnezzar, kings who used the phrase to express their absolute sovereignty over their respective realms (Persia and Babylon). The phrase “lord of lords” is used in Scripture five times, and only referring to God (Deuteronomy 10:17; Psalm 136:3; 1 Timothy 6:15; Revelation 17:14, 19:16). Used together, the two phrases refer only to the Lord Jesus Christ.
In 1 Timothy 6, Paul is wrapping up his letter to Timothy, telling him to fight the good fight and keep his profession of faith. He tells Timothy that he’s to do this “until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,” whom he subsequently refers to as “the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion.” The title is used to indicate someone who has the power to exercise absolute dominion over all His realm. In the case of the Lord Jesus, the realm is all of creation. Paul labors to emphasize the solitary nature of Christ’s rule, calling Him the “only” Sovereign, who is “alone” and “unapproachable.” The rule of Jesus is unique and above that of all other rulers.
The other two uses of the phrase, those in Revelation, refer to the final conquest and return of Jesus. The implication is that in the end all other rules will be conquered or abolished, and He alone will reign supreme as King and Lord of all creation and creatures. There is no power, no king, and no lord who can oppose Him and win. There are myriad references to this absolute rule of Jesus, and His preeminence over other rulers, all throughout Scripture, some subtle, some overt. To mention just a few, Isaiah 40:23-24 says that the Lord brings “princes to nothing” and makes earth’s rulers “emptiness.” The mere breath of the Lord will “carry them off like stubble.” Daniel’s vision of the son of man in Daniel 7:13-14 is of one whom he calls “the Ancient of Days” whose everlasting dominion is over all people, nations and languages. In the New Testament, we get a better view of whom these passages refer to when the writer of Hebrews speaks of the Lord Jesus: “He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His nature, and He upholds the universe by the word of His power” (Hebrews 1:3). The next verse speaks of Jesus being “much superior” to the angels. Clearly, His rule over creation is absolute.
Paul makes the point that this rule is derived from Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. In Philippians 2:5-11, he discusses the extent to which Jesus went to atone for sinners and concludes that this is the reason that “God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (vv. 9-11).
Finally, in the book of Revelation we see the Kingship of Jesus made manifest. In chapter 5, the Lamb (Jesus) is the only one in all creation found worthy to open the scroll containing the judgments of God (vv. 2-5). In chapter 11, we hear voices in heaven proclaiming that the kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of Christ, and that He will reign forever and ever (v. 15). In chapter 12, we read that the authority of Christ is what causes Satan to be thrown down to earth (vv. 9-10). In chapter 17:12-14, the Lamb conquers all those arrayed against Him, and John stresses that He conquers because He is King of kings and Lord of lords. Finally, in chapter 19, we read of His triumphant coming to strike the nations and tread the winepress of the wrath of God, having the authority to do so because He is King of kings and Lord of lords (vv. 11-16).
Fundamentally, the idea of Jesus being King of kings and Lord of lords means that there is no higher authority. His reign over all things is absolute and inviolable. God raised Him from the dead and placed Him over all things, “far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all” (Ephesians 1:21-23).

I've been asked many times if I still track the stock market. My answer is a resounding yes. The stock market is in my blood. I'm still tracking the markets, still doing research and still following economic news. This is the one industry that is the heart of global productivity. It is essential in pumping the necessary oxygen (capital) to corporations that in turn hire employees who will in turn produce the products and services that we all use. Capitalism is a very very important element to humanity. It is what fuels dreams, self-reliance and individualism!
