I Don't Care if Cliven Bundy is a Racist

So I woke up this morning to a ton of hysteria online about these comments that Nevadan Rancher Cliven Bundy apparently made about black people. I'll read what I found online to you. This is what he apparently said he referred to black people as Negros.
He said, "they abort their young, they put their young men in jail because they never learned how to pick cotton. And I've often wondered, are they better off as slaves picking cotton and having a family life and doing things or are they better off under government subsidies? They didn't get no more freedom, they got less freedom."
It's an awkwardly made point. I've been writing about this for years. About how we've basically enslaved ourselves all over again to the government by depending on them so much. Which seems to be the point he was making. Rather a little ignorantly. I don't think Cliven Bundy is a racist. He's probably a bigot. He's probably ignorant. But if you guys have been following me for a while and my work you know that I see a big difference between a bigot and a racist. Regardless, if Cliven Bundy is a racist, if he is a racist. I don't care. I seriously don't care. It makes absolutely no difference a) to my life. I'm still going to get up and do the dishes and fold underwear. Whether Cliven Bundy is a racist or not. but b) it doesn't make a difference to the veracity of his case. And we're talking about a man that is facing off against the federal government who is coming in to seize his land. We can talk about the legalities and the technicalities and we can talk about the taxes he owes or we can talk about all of the things that have been legal that were unjust. Slavery was legal and Jim Crow was legal and it was legal to intern Japanese citizens during World War II. There are all kinds of things that the government makes legal that are really unjust. And I think that Cliven Bundy's case here, at least from his point of view, it may not be yours, is that the law is unjust and he has no obligation to comply with an unjust law. Much as our Founding Fathers did not want to comply with their laws that stated they should pay these taxes. Now those were laws and there were people there that said there is a way to go about this and it is not revolution. And it's just what people are saying to Cliven Bundy today.
Personally, I think he is in violation of the law. But I do think the law is unjust. And I think that for Americans freedom works the same for you as it does for me. And if you're a Liberal and you don't want a Republican administration coming in and seizing what you have because they don't think you have a right to have it, then you need to protect this guy's rights. You don't have to care about who he is or how he lives his personal life or what he thinks about the Negro picking cotton or Black people. I really couldn't care less. The point is, a man's freedom is under assault. He owe's a tax bill and you don't send the National Guard to collect a tax bill. Something is wrong here and it's not Cliven Bundy I'm afraid to say. And I know that now we can get all sexy with this because there's racism. Call Terry?, ring the dinner bell, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson come on and get it. It doesn't change the fact that this is an issue of freedom and not racism. This is a distraction and as usual, the American sheeples are too happy to be distracted.
