PHILIPPINES: Islamic Militant Group Attacked Another Philippine Town On Monday Seized Several Hostages. Other Islamic Militant Attack Occurred On Sept 9th >:/

The Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) is a rebel group that was founded by Nur Misuari in 1969. MNLF is internationally recognized by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC, formerly the Organisation of the Islamic Conference) and its Parliamentary Union of OIC Member States (PUIC). Since 1977, the MNLF has been an observer member of the OIC. The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is the second largest inter-governmental organization after the United Nations, and has membership of 57 states spread over four continents. The Philippine Government also requested similar recognition as observer member but was denied by the OIC. On 30 January 2012, MNLF became an observer member of the Parliamentary Union of Islamic Cooperation (PUIC), as approved during the 7th PUIC global session held in Palembang, Indonesia.

Misuari is the only person in the Bangsamoro Land who is distinguished as a certified United Nations Peace Prize Awardee; Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Nominee; Awardee of Felix Houphouet-Boigny Peace Prize. He is one of the few individuals that have acquired an international reputation on account of their major contribution to the promotion of peace, democracy and human rights. <=[LMAO! omg unbelievable wow! MANILA, Philippines — A group of Muslim rebels opposed to peace talks with the Philippine government stormed a southern town Monday and seized several hostages while engaging troops in clashes that killed eight combatants, military officials said.

The violence comes as government troops battle the last few dozen gunmen from another Muslim rebel group, the Moro National Liberation Front, which on Sept. 9 took more than 100 civilians hostage and occupied five coastal communities in another southern city, Zamboanga.

About 40 Moro rebels holding around 20 hostages were still holed up in two areas in Zamboanga, military spokesman Lt. Col. Ramon Zagala said.

It was not known if the two attacks were related but the leaders of the two groups have met at least once and both oppose the peace talks involving the 11,000-strong Moro Islamic Liberation Front.

In the latest attack, an undetermined number of fighters of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters assaulted an outpost of unarmed government militiamen in a town in North Cotabato province, then took 15 villagers hostage, regional military spokesmen Col. Dickson Hermoso said.

Army troops later caught up with the rebels, who engaged the soldiers in sporadic firefights while using their captives as human shields. Four soldiers and four rebels were killed, he said.

All 15 hostages later escaped or were freed by the troops, he said, but added a group of about 10 teachers are missing, either trapped in a school by gunfire between the troops and rebels, or taken hostage by the rebels.

“The rebels suddenly arrived there. Some were not even wearing their uniforms and just changed into their uniforms there,” Loreto Cabaya, a member of the North Cotabato provincial board, told GMA News TV network.

The Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters is a faction of the larger Moro Islamic Liberation Front, now the dominant Muslim rebel group in the south which is engaged in peace talks with the government for a new autonomy deal for minority Muslims in the south of the predominantly Roman Catholic nation.

FLASHBACK: January 31, 2013

An Australian man has been threatened with an 'unusual way of death' by the Islamic terrorist group who kidnapped him just over a year ago.

Warren Rodwell, a 54-year-old retired soldier, was seized from his home in the Philippines in December 2011 by gunmen from the al-Qaeda-linked terrorist group Al Harakatul Al-Islamiyyah.

In an internet message aimed at the Australian government, the kidnappers say Mr Rodwell, will soon be executed unless the unspecified ransom is paid immediately.

The message reads: ‘If you have concerned (sic) with your men, we will give you a chance to save his life before it’s too late, as soon as possible time, otherwise he will suffer unusual way of Death.’

Islamic terrorist groups in the southern Philippines – there are three major organisations – have either shot or beheaded captives in the past and the reference to an ‘unusual way of death’ is believed to suggested a beheading.

Four other foreigners are being held for ransom in the Philippines, although the last hostage to be executed – a Peruvian American – was killed in 2001.

Other hostages have died in exchanges of gunfire between terrorists and government troops.

They add: ‘All praise is for Allah, the Lord of the Universe. May Allah bestow peace and blessings upon our Leader Muhammad, Leader of those who strive in Allah’s way and Imam of the pious.’

The group also has a message to ‘our brothers in Islam. It adds: ‘We would like to make it clear that our activities like this are not for personal interests or just to gain money for personal use.

‘Let it be known to everyone we are on war against the forces of shaytan (the Devil) in the Philippines, its allies and supporters, and whatever we gain from this war is to be used for our future operations and other necessities.’
THESE ISLAMIC MILITANT GROUPS ARE DEMONIC MINIONS OF 'THE DEVIL'. The devil comes to STEAL, KILL (MURDER) and DESTROY. That is what Islamic Militants are doing ALL AROUND THE WORLD! There is NOTHING peaceful or loving about their heinous acts committed against innocent souls every day!

Even if you don't believe in the devil or satan, I'm sure you can see a person or group grievously harming others daily as bad, rotten, a soulless being and I hope you would want to stop the bad person(s) hurting others for their pleasure and to proclaim their Islamic supremacy. (emphasis mine)
