Unbelievable is right! and then the NAACP has the NERVE to put out a statement saying "NO OFFENSE WAS INTENDED" WTF?! Such blatant disrespect! My gosh, you sure are a piece of work.
This country would be BRITISH OCCUPIED/RULED right now if it had not been for the leadership of George Washington and our other founding fathers who fought, literally fought to break free from an OPPRESSIVE BRITISH MONARCHY! George Washington was one of the great minds who contributed to the creation of the U.S. Constitution.
Yet, they have NO PROBLEM with President Obama celebrating Chairman Mao's 60th anniversary?! Responsible for the mass genocide of 70 MILLION people!!!
This coming from the very people who get OFFENDED by everyone and everything. For instance, just last year they forced Hallmark to pull a graduation card featuring "Hoops" and "YoYo" that says, "Hey world, we are officially putting you on notice." and "And you black holes, you are so ominous. Watch your back," the card vocalizes. George Washington was “boxed out” of the Martin Luther King Day celebration in Columbia, South Carolina yesterday.
Free North Carolina reported, via Sondrak:
The annual MLK observance at the state house in Columbia, South Carolina had an interesting twist this year. The event is held on the north side steps of the statehouse. Prominent at that location is a large bronze statue of George Washington. This year, the NAACP constructed a “box” to conceal the Father of His Country from view so that participants WOULD NOT BE OFFENDED by his presence.
UPDATE: The local NAACP later released a statement stating “no offense was intended.”
Unbelievable.
