To President Obama, Your First Priority Should Have Been to Put Your Citizens Back to Work!

Our country cannot afford to waste another dime paying for special interests projects. An emergency means urgent, immediate help NOW! Why isn't ANYBODY creating a stimulus plan that brings PRODUCTION back to the United States???? We need to curb the outsourcing of our jobs to foreign countries!

President Obama, I wish wish wish you would immediately consider penalizing the corporations who have moved their operations overseas! They are the ones who should have their taxes increased heavily. In return, corporations who bring back their manufacturing plants to the U.S. should be rewarded with huge incentive and tax breaks. By giving corporations incentive to return and open plants in the communities that have been hit the hardest by this economic turmoil would put hundreds of thousands of people back to work. Thus, creating an increase in income tax revenue for both the states and federal government and lifting these citizens out of poverty by taking them out of the welfare and unemployment system.

This would put the poor and dis-advantaged back to work. Thus, increasing their self-esteem and self-worth by being able to be self-suffient. This should have been President Obama's first plan of attack. To put his citizens back to work. Not increase their welfare and such. That doesn't help them that hurts them. We should want to lift them up out of poverty and be self-sustaining.

I am not in any way promoting protectionism and most especially NOT promoting socialism. The fact is it costs too much for corporations to maintain their operations here in the states. Plus, the unions helped to scare manufacturers away from remaining in the states. We have become a nation of consumers ONLY! Our country hardly produces anything and as far as servicing that too has gone abroad. I am a Capitalist with heart. I believe that we need to make it worth their bottom line to return to the U.S. Just like other countries lure the corporations in, we should be just as competitive to want to attain their business. Federal and state incentives as well as tax cuts!

Beside, as a Nation we should want our citizens to PROSPER first and foremost! That is what our elected officials should make a priority! The only way our citizens will PROSPER and thus our Nation is by providing employment! We need to penalize corporations who choose to take their business elsewhere. They are free to go where ever they want, although they will have to pay a hefty tax in order to do so. Therefore, if we can competitively offer these corporations a reason to stay that would benefit ALL involved.... the taxpaying citizens, the federal, state and local governments IMMENSELY!
