Instead of the media using their POWER to influence the masses in a positive way and objectively as I thought was the journalist creed, the media allows the corporate world and government to manipulate them. I ask you, how on this beautiful green earth is this ethical? I can not understand why the media does not use this POWER to influence corporations and government. Just think about it, corporations NEED to advertise! The media can say NO to unethical corporations until they change or disappear. The same is TRUE for greedy and corrupt politicians.

Not all Citizens of the World are independent thinkers. I know the government, corporations and media know this fact. Therefore, I believe that it is the responsibility of the media NOT to condone corporations who accept slave labor and child slave labor, or dump toxic waste in our oceans in order to increase PROFITS! The media ought to EXPOSE these corporations in order to bring awareness to the public and steer the public away from them. If the media could just start reporting on corporations who are committed to researching eco-friendly products, then the Citizens of the World would start to think this is cool. The media CAN start a new trend!!!

My wish is that the Global Media use its Power of Influence to set a new HIGHER standard for Global Markets, make corporations accountable for how they EARN PROFITS, expose corrupt politicians and therefore set a new standard of living for the Global Population.
