Shame on YOU China!!! STOP Shark Finning...
I am re-posting this information for my new readers. This is a 4 minute video clip of the grotesque shark finning practice Chinese fisherman are guilty of doing. They slaughter over 100 million sharks per year just so people can pay $100 for a bowl of shark fin soup!!! WARNING: I couldn't stop crying watching this video... Please help spread the word of these atrocious acts committed by CHINA and boycott CHINA!!! I urge you to click here to sign a petition addressed to the President of the People's Republic of China to STOP shark slaughter. They only have 1,281 signatures, let us ALL make a difference and slam China's President with SHAME!
They capture them, slice off their FINS and then throw them back into the ocean to drown in their home!!! They don't even have the decency to kill them before cutting off all four fins! Imagine having all of your limbs cut off and then left to die in your home. They're worse than Jeffrey Dahmer. These fisherman make me SICK ... DISGUSTING!!

"Finning" refers to the practice of cutting off only the shark fins and discarding the body. Sometimes sharks are dead when they're pulled into the boats, but often, they're still alive as their four fins are cut off with a knife. When they're thrown back into the ocean the sharks either bleed to death, or they drown, because sharks can't swim without fins, and they need to go forward to get oxygen. Divers have discovered hundreds of dead finned sharks at the bottom of the ocean in huge shark graveyards.
Fifty percent of sharks are bycatch -- they're accidentally caught by boats that are looking for tuna, swordfish or other fish. Many of the boats don't want to keep the entire shark, so they just fin them. This greatly increases the amount of sharks killed, because a fishing boat can hold an enormous amount of fins.

The buying and selling of shark fins on the partially Yahoo-controlled e-commerce site angers activists, who say the harvest is brutal. SHAME ON YOU YAHOO!

Man's inhumanity toward his fellow man is only exceeded by his inhumanity toward animals.
I couldn't agree with you more. It is an AWFUL truth!
I can't believe they do that! How cruel... but then again, humans don't care about humans so why would they care about the animals on the planet! Just plain mean...
