LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The creator of a popular online community group for mothers in Las Vegas is accused of lewdness and child abuse.

Christiann Ault pleaded not guilty during an arraignment on July 30 following an indictment by a grand jury.

Ault is listed as an administrator of the Las Vegas Super Moms Facebook group. The private group was founded in 2021 and encourages mothers in Las Vegas to “talk, connect, rant, laugh, vent, cry, celebrate, and even occasionally meet up,” according to the About Me section.

In court documents obtained by News 3, prosecutors accused Ault of having a child rub their private area on her leg and chest area “with the intent of arousing, appealing to, or gratifying the lust, passions or sexual desires of defendant.” Paperwork stated Ault also verbally abused that child in a manner that caused the survivor “to feel unsafe and/or unloved and/or upset.”

The child, who is still a minor, testified to a grand jury on July 15 that the abuse happened once or twice a week in Ault’s bedroom apartment over nearly two years until March 2024, according to paperwork. The child stated, “My legs were around her, and then she made me, and then a pillow was over her private areas, and then she had her hands like under the pillow.”

The child said Ault was wearing clothes during those moments, “like a tank top and like jeans, ripped jeans or something,” while the child “was wearing underwear.”

Documents stated the interaction started randomly, “She told me I could have iPad time if I do something, and I was like okay. And then it was making, she was wanting me to rub my private areas on her. I didn't want to. It made me feel uncomfortable.”

Ault also locked the child in their room, “because she’s mad and she doesn’t love or like me, she hates me,” the child stated during the grand jury testimony.

Q. Would she tell you she didn't love you?

A. Yes.

Q. Did she tell you she hated you?

A. Yes.

Q. More than once or one time?

A. More than once.

Q. When she would lock you in your room, how long would you be locked in your room for?

A. Hours.

The child reported the situation to two other adults in March 2024.

On the day the child made the accusations about Ault, Henderson Police also responded to the home where the child was that day for a welfare check after Ault called law enforcement, according to a man who testified.

The man said he disclosed the child’s accusations to law enforcement after they saw the child was ok. A Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officer also arrived at the house and questioned the child, because Ault’s apartment is in Metro’s jurisdiction.

The adult testified that Ault attempted to call or contact him 242 times in one day.

A member of the Las Vegas Super Moms group shared a post allegedly written by Ault on Sunday:

“Many of you may have seen posts or rumors being spread about me regarding very serious allegations.

I want you to know that I am innocent and fighting these accusations with everything I have. The case is ongoing, and the truth will come out in time.

Sharing charges without context is harmful and unfair, not just to me but to my child. I would never harm him, and anyone who knows me knows the kind of mother I am.

If you care about me or believe in any kind of justice at all, I ask that you please refrain from sharing or commenting on this while the case is still active.

I won't be discussing this further publicly, but I appreciate those who have reached out with kindness and concern.”

A jury trial for Ault is scheduled for April 6.
