PASADENA, Calif. (KABC) -- Shocking video going viral on social media shows a violent assault that happened Saturday night at the sold-out Rüfüs Du Sol concert at the Rose Bowl.
A woman in the stands was punched in the face and knocked unconscious, and two other people were viciously punched by an outraged man. It was all captured on video.
It all started when a drink was accidentally spilled and splashed on that man. In a Facebook post, the woman who was knocked unconscious said she and her boyfriend apologized, but the man stormed off.
He returned about 30 minutes later and that's when the fight broke out, according to Pasadena police.
Police say a report was filed, and they already have multiple leads on the identity of the man accused of the attack. They said they hope to make an arrest soon.
Rüfüs Du Sol posted the following statement on Instagram:
"Delivering moments for our fans to gather and celebrate safely is what we live for. We have been heart broken to hear of the act of violence that took place during the opening act on Saturday. This type of behavior is completely unacceptable anywhere and the fact that this happened at one of our shows was devastating to learn about. Local law enforcement are actively investigating the situation. Anyone with information to assist the investigation should please contact Pasadena Police Department."
The city of Pasadena said it has seen other complaints online about safety concerns with security and crowd control issues at the concert, but no formal complaints have been filed with the Rose Bowl or the city.
