Accused UnitedHealthcare CEO killer Luigi Mangione could join disgraced rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs and crypto fraudster Sam Bankman-Fried in a protective jail unit as early as Monday — as the high-profile inmates remain locked up in the same New York City federal prison.

Mangione, 26, will reportedly be shacking up with Combs and Bankman-Fried in a 15-man protective custody unit reserved for those who need special security at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn when he’s released from solitary confinement, according to Business Insider.

The alleged assassin was booked at the notorious prison on Thursday after he was extradited from Pennsylvania to the Big Apple to face state and federal murder charges for the brazen execution of Brian Thompson, 50, outside the Hilton in Midtown on Dec. 4.

Mangione is currently residing in a small solitary-confinement cell within the Special Housing Unit — also known as “the SHU” and “the hole” — receiving psychiatric care until at least Monday, the outlet reported.

The University of Pennsylvania graduate is eating meals inside his cinderblock cell, with inmates in his particular unit typically allowed out for one hour of recreation or bathing a day. Guards are also expected to check on him every 15 minutes, a prison consultant told Business Insider.

“Miserable, just miserable,” Sam Mangel said when describing the prison conditions.

“SHUs are notoriously loud. You have people in there for psychiatric issues, for disciplinary reasons, and for withdrawal from drugs. So it is the loudest place in the jail — people are banging on their doors at all hours of the night.”

The alleged shooter is also being treated by “some nurses and doctors” who support the cold-blooded slaying and expressed interest in donating funds to his legal cause, sources told The Post.

Federal authorities slapped the Ivy Leaguer with charges that make him eligible for the death penalty. The case will run parallel with the New York case where he’s facing 11 counts at the state level — including first-degree murder and terrorism charges.

Mangione was arrested at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pa., on Dec. 9 after leading police on a five-day manhunt that ended after an employee recognized him from surveillance images released by the NYPD.

The infamous Metropolitan Detention Center in Sunset Park has been plagued by tales of “barbaric” and “reprehensible” conditions for inmates.

The jail itself has faced intense scrutiny in recent years amid a spate of vicious inmate attacks and complaints about dismal living conditions — including worm- and maggot-infested food, filthy cells and power outages.

Bankman-Fried, 32, remains jailed at the Brooklyn prison after he was sentenced in March to 25 years for stealing more than $8 million from customers from his now-bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX.

Combs is sitting behind bars facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and prostitution, of which he’s pleaded not guilty, and awaiting trial in his high-profile case.

Karen Friedman Agnifilo, the high-powered lawyer hired by Mangione, is married to none other than Marc Agnifilo, who has been representing the fallen rapper.

Along with the trio of inmates, the complex has held notorious sex abusers R. Kelly and Ghislaine Maxwell.

A handful of admirers were standing outside the federal prison Friday afternoon — hoping to one day see Mangione a celebrated free man.

“I support Luigi’s message that we need to do something about the health care system in the US,” Morgan, a self-employed 30-year-old Brooklynite, told The Post.

“Luigi is speaking for the voice of the people. We want better health care, we want it to be affordable. That’s all happening here and him being treated like a terrorist is bulls–t!” I think the terrorism charge is totally out of proportion.”

Mangione will next appear in federal court on Jan. 18. A date has not yet been set for his Manhattan arraignment on his state charges.

Luigi Mangione’s mother allegedly told police she “could see him” shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. In a press conference, investigators said when they questioned Mangione’s mother about where her son could be and the missing person report she had filed, she basically told them she wouldn’t be surprised if he pulled the trigger. Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber breaks down the case with prosecutor Matt Murphy.
Fox Business published December 20, 2024: Should Luigi Mangione receive the death penalty? Breitbart News editor-in-chief Alex Marlow breaks down the UnitedHealthcare CEO murder case on 'Kudlow.'

Breitbart editor-in-chief and New York Times bestselling Breaking Biden author Alex Marlow said Thursday on Fox Business Network’s “Kudlow” that Luigi Mangione, the suspect in the shooting death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, “was never denied care from anyone.”

Host Larry Kudlow said, “I just want to summarize. I mean, here’s the part that interests me. You have a new federal charge of this murderer. It’s a terrorist charge, a federal charge, which then makes him eligible for the death penalty. And Alex, I will just say to you, I am not generally. I’m more of a life-imprisonment guy. I’m not a death penalty guy. But if there’s a time to use the death penalty, it would be on this Mangione guy and from what I gather, legally, it’s the new federal terrorist charge that makes him eligible for the death penalty.”

Marlow said, “Oh yeah, Larry, if he’s convicted, then what benefit is he to society just incarcerated and getting love letters and marriage proposals for the rest of his life from all the sick freaks who justified this murder? Your reporter said this: such an important point, Larry; he was not a UnitedHealthcare customer. He was never denied care from anyone. He’s a rich guy who never didn’t get some bill paid because of money.lł jfk ky This is a huge disgrace. The left backed this up and absolutely I’m with you.”

Kudlow added, “Yes, this is a left-wing conspiracy.”
