Three members of a Massachusetts family were found dead Thursday evening in Dover, according to Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey.
A member of the extended family called 911 at approximately 7:24 p.m. after visiting the home at 8 Wilson's Way to check on the family, the DA's office said. When police arrived, they found a man, a woman and their teenage daughter were deceased.
Investigators worked overnight at the huge property, which is labeled Enchanted Acres.
Morrissey identified the family members as Teena Kamal, 54, Rakesh Kamal, 57, and Arianna Kamal, 18. Arianna Kamal was a Middlebury College student.
The DA also said a gun was apparently involved in the incident and "it was found near the husband." Autopsies will be performed to confirm the timing, cause and manner of the deaths.
"I'm led to believe that it's safe for me to tell you that this is probably a domestic incident," Morrissey said.
State property records indicate the property at 8 Wilson's Way is a 5.07-acre lot with a 19,355-square-foot, 27-room mansion built in 2000. It was last sold in 2022 for $3 million and is currently assessed at more than $5.9 million.
A closer look at documents show signs of financial strain for the family.
Recently both Rick and Teena Kamal led a Mass. educational company, but NewsCenter 5 discovered that Teena Kamal filed for Chapter 13 Bankruptcy in September 2022. The case was dismissed the following month.
Online records show the property on Wilson's Way went into foreclosure in December of that same year.
"I would say: This is an event to remember that that domestic violence crises cross all economic and social situations," Morrissey said.
Morrissey said there was no sign of a break-in and no previous police reports about the home. He also said the last homicide in Dover occurred in 2020.
During his remarks on Friday morning, the DA emphasized the state's domestic violence hotline, 877-785-2020 and the suicide and crisis lifeline, 988.
'Sweet, smart, kind woman'
Milton Academy shared a written statement on Friday, reacting to the death of Arianna Kamal, who the school said was a recent graduate.
"Our thoughts are with all members of the Kamal family, their friends and our entire school community," the written statement said. "Aria was a sweet, smart, kind young woman who was just beginning to realize her full potential. Her mother, Teena, who served as president of our Upper School Parents’ Association, was a committed and caring advocate for both parents and students at Milton. This is a devastating loss to our community."
The Massachusetts chapter of the American Red Cross said Teena also served on their regional board of directors.
"The American Red Cross is deeply saddened by the tragedy in Dover," a written statement from the organization said. "Teena Kamal served on our regional Board of Directors and served as vice-chair of our Massachusetts Tiffany Circle. Our hearts go out to their loved ones during this devastating time."
"Aria was beloved by the College Choir," Jeffrey Buettner, Christian A. Johnson Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at Middlebury College, said. "She loved singing together, and her choir community was deeply meaningful to her in her first semester."

LAWRENCE, Mass. — Law enforcement officials in Texas have arrested a suspect in a Massachusetts murder that occurred on Christmas Day in Lawrence.
Santana Guerrero Temporo, 53, was arrested on a fugitive from justice charge, according to Essex District Attorney Paul Tucker's office. The DA's statement did not specify where in Texas he was arrested or how he was located.
Guerrero Temporo is wanted in connection with the murder of Diomaris Mejia, 21, whose body was found Tuesday morning in a basement apartment at 243 Salem St.
Mejia's family said she was a mother of two young children, a daughter and son, who are back in the Dominican Republic and that she had only been living in Massachusetts for about a year.
"She just came here to work and give them a life," said Nelly Perez, one of Mejia's family members.
Mejia's family said that she was stabbed and that she was in a troubled relationship.
Guerrero Temporo is expected to be arraigned next week on the fugitive charge, Tucker's office said.

LAWRENCE, Mass. — A man wanted in connection with the murder of a young mother in Lawrence on Christmas Day has been arrested in Texas, authorities announced Friday.
Santana Guerrero Temporo, 53, is slated to be arraigned next week on the charge of being a fugitive from justice in connection with the death of 21-year-old Diosmary Mejia, according to Essex District Attorney Paul F. Tucker.
Officers conducting a well-being check at an apartment on Salem Street on Tuesday found Mejia dead in the basement, police said.
Family told Boston 25 News that Mejia moved to Massachusetts from the Dominican Republic about a year ago. She was said to be working to send money back to her 3-year-old and 7-year-old children who are living in her native country.
The DA’s office didn’t specify how Mejia was killed but her family said she was stabbed to death.
Mejia’s family also expressed concern about a troubled relationship she had been in with an older man.
It’s not clear when Temporo will be extradited to Massachusetts.
An investigation is ongoing.
