USA: First Openly Transgender State Representative Arrested For Alleged Child Sex Crimes In New Hampshire, Children Were As Young As 3-Years-Old. Earlier This Year Became And Ordained Minister.

๐ŸšจNO WHITE SUPREMACISTS INVOLVED๐Ÿšจ

Again, I can't stress enough how wrong it is for these male criminals to be recorded in the criminal database as female criminals. It bothers me to hear them refer to him as a she and a her. He is a man with a long criminal record and now an alleged pedophile. So is this man going to be allowed to go to a female only prison? and another thing, how the hell did New Hampshire residents vote this criminal as state representative 3 TIMES? Was your standard to qualify him to represent you that he was an open "transgender woman"? Seriously? Character means nothing to you? How about his criminal history? He resigned twice because of criminal matters and you still voted for him? WTH man? (emphasis mine)

A former New Hampshire state representative charged with distributing child sex abuse images waived her arraignment Friday.

Court documents released Friday allege that former state Rep. Stacie Laughton knowingly transferred visual representations of children engaging in sexual conduct.

She was ordered held because she poses a danger to herself or the public.

"Yesterday afternoon, officers arrested Stacie Laughton," said Nashua police Sgt. John Cinelli. "She was charged with four counts of disseminating child sex images."

Nashua police said they couldn't comment on what led them to Laughton, but in court paperwork, investigators allege she knowingly transferred inappropriate photos of children.

News 9 investigates reported Thursday that a New Hampshire woman allegedly admitted to federal investigators she took multiple images of children in a private bathroom from Creative Minds Early Learning Center in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts.

That woman, Lindsay Groves, of Hudson, told investigators she sent the images to a former partner. Investigators said some of the children were as young as 3 years old.

News 9 Investigates learned that Groves and Laughton have a connection, but sources would not comment on how they are connected.

The Massachusetts daycare said it has voluntarily closed and it is cooperating with police.

Parents said they are outraged and want answers.

"I want to know how entangled my daughter is with all of this," said parent Rosemary Denommee. "I don't know if I'll get those answers."

Laughton first made headlines in 2012 for being the first transgender person to win a New Hampshire State House election. But the Democrat didn't take office after the Ballot Law Commission learned of two felony credit card fraud convictions from 2008.

In 2015, Laughton was accused of calling in a bomb threat to a hospital, and in 2022, she was convicted of texting 911 during non-emergencies.

In 2022, she was charged with stalking and harassing Groves, who Laughton described to police as her wife.

Laughton has been elected to the State House three times but resigned twice because of legal troubles.

Groves is also facing federal charges in Massachusetts, where she is scheduled to appear for an arraignment Wednesday.

A trans-identified male politician credited with being the first openly transgender representative elected in the United States has been arrested on charges involving the distribution of child sexual abuse materials.

Stacie Laughton, born Barry Charles Laughton Jr., was a Democratic representative for the New Hampshire House, winning his last election in November of 2022. But Laughton resigned less than one month after winning the election following scrutiny for being charged with the violation of a stalking order that had been placed against him by a woman in his community. Laughton violated the order just one month before he was elected.

While Laughton is still facing his stalking charges, he was arrested again this past Tuesday. This time, on charges involving the distribution of child sexual abuse materials.

Sergeant John Cinelli, public information officer for the Nashua Police Department, revealed that officers had interviewed reporting parties before detectives from special investigations took over. The investigators subsequently applied for a warrant for Laughton’s arrest.

The 38-year-old is facing four counts of the distribution of sexually explicit images of children.

As previously reported by Reduxx, Laughton has a lengthy criminal history. In addition to his stalking charges, he is also on bail for a 2021 arrest in which he was accused of the egregious misuse of the Nashua 911 emergency system.

Between May and July 2021, he sent seven texts to Nashua 911, prompting police officers to respond to his address. On each occasion, they determined there was no emergency. At the time, Laughton denied sending the texts and claimed that he was being “spoofed” by an unknown perpetrator.

He also complained that media coverage of the arrest was making him look bad.

Laughton was first elected to the New Hampshire legislature in 2012 and became the first openly transgender individual to hold public office in the United States. He withdrew before taking the role when it was revealed that he had served four months in prison in 2008 on a felony conviction for identity and credit card fraud and falsifying physical evidence.

A special election was scheduled a few weeks later, and Laughton signed up to run again. But officials barred him from holding public office as, according to state law, he had not completed his sentence.

After the sentence related to the 2008 conviction was exhausted, Laughton was allowed to run for office again in 2019. He was elected selectman in 2011, 2019, and 2021. He was also elected state representative in 2020.

Laughton has been held in preventive detention and is scheduled to appear at Hillsborough County Superior Court-South today for arraignment.

Earlier this year, Laughton became an ordained Minister and delivered his first sermon on YouTube.

According to GetOrdained, Laughton was affiliated with Buddhism, Methodism, New Age, Oneness Pentecostalism, Pentecostalism, Protestantism, Rastafarianism, Spiritualism, Tibetan Buddhism, Unitarian Universalism, and the Universal Life Church.

In his biography, Laughton writes: “I’m caring and compassionate and I believe all people have inherent worth and dignity along with the fact that I pride myself on being a member of the LGBT community and I believe all love is valuable and all people deserve a minister who cares about them deeply and doesn’t judge who they are or their backgrounds.”

Laughton stated he charged $50 for various services including marriages and baptisms.

The first-ever elected transgender lawmaker, former state Rep. Stacie Laughton [D] of New Hampshire, has been arrested and charged with four felony charges of distributing child exploitation images.

The 39-year-old former lawmaker of Derry, New Hampshire, was arrested by the Nashua Police Department on June 22. Detectives from the Special Investigations Division had been alerted two days prior when individuals at a local community center reported Laughton and police were subsequently granted a warrant for Laughton’s arrest.

The Nashua Police Department confirmed his arrest while referring to the transgender lawmaker as "she."

"On Tuesday, June 20, 2023, Officers responded to a local facility for a juvenile matter," the statement read. "They spoke with reporting parties that indicated Laughton distributed sexually explicit images of children…They applied for and were granted a warrant for Laughton’s arrest. She was arrested on Thursday, June 22, 2023.”

The transgender lawmaker resigned from his position as a Democrat New Hampshire Rep in December 2022 after being arrested on November 12 for breaching a stalking order charge held against him. At the time of the resignation he issued a statement claiming he needed to work on his mental health, stating, “I will be attending mental health court and getting some counseling and trying to get my life back on track. I’m not perfect.” He also claimed that despite the arrest he would run for election again “in two years…I will run for state representative again.”

Nashua Police have said that Laughton’s case is also connected to the arrest of New Hampshire woman Lindsay Groves, who is alleged to have taked sexually explicit images of children at Creative Minds Early Learning Center daycare in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts. The woman, who was employed at the daycare since 2017 as a child care teacher, was arrested and charged with one count of sexual exploitation of children and one count of distribution of child pornography. Both Laughton and Groves are reported to be close, with numerous pictures of the pair together on Facebook.

In a press statement issued by the US Attorney’s Office, District of Massachusetts it is alleged that the daycare worker took nude images of children at the facility where she worked and distributed the photos to an individual she was close to and who she was previously in an intimate relationship with.

The victims were targeted during bathroom breaks, with some of the children still in diapers and pull-ups being photographed while having their diapers changed in a private bathroom. Groves then sent the images directly to an individual whom she was close to and who it is believed she had a prior romantic relationship with.

Over 2,500 text message exchanges were found between Groves and the individual, with many of the messages discussing and transferring the explicit images. Four of the explicit images found on her device were of children aged between 3-5

Laughton’s history of criminal behavior includes a 2008 conviction for credit card fraud, a 2015 conviction for making a bomb threat against Southern Medical Center Hospital in Nashua, which he later blamed on "mental illness," a 2021 charge for sending fake texts to emergency 911 services, a July 2022 restraining order for stalking an unnamed woman and a November arrest for breaching the stalking order.

Laughton is currently being held on preventative detention and is set to be arranged at the Hillsborough Superior Court-South later today. He faces a minimum of 5 years in prison, up to a lifetime of supervised release and a fine up to $250,000 for the distribution of child pornography. Grove also faces the same sentence with an additional 15 years up to a maximum of 30 years and up to a lifetime of supervised release for taking the indecent images.
