They were 'shocked' to see opposing viewpoints, so they partnered with Google to ensure you only see their side of the story. And they call us fascists... pic.twitter.com/9V6kU6v7JQ

Melissa Fleming, head of communications for the United Nations, tweeted she was "deeply disturbed" by the suspensions and that "media freedom is not a toy." Officials from France, Germany, Britain and the European Union earlier condemned the suspensions.

Twitter did not immediately respond to a Reuters' request for comment. A Reuters check showed the suspended accounts, which included journalists from the New York Times, CNN and the Washington Post, have been reinstated. (via Reuters)

Melissa Fleming, Under-Secretary for Global Communications at the United Nations at WEF ‘Disinformation’ event: “We partnered with Google,” said Fleming, adding, “for example, if you Google ‘climate change,’ you will, at the top of your search, you will get all kinds of UN resources. We started this partnership when we were shocked to see that when we Googled ‘climate change,’ we were getting incredibly distorted information right at the top. So we’re becoming much more proactive. We own the science, and we think that the world should know it, and the platforms themselves also do.”
When Facebook’s Oversight Board issued its verdict on Trump, it did not cite a single item of United States law, including the First Amendment, but cited the Rabat Plan of Action, and articles of the UN’s International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), OHCHR, a UN Special Rapporteur to the Human Rights Council, and the UN’s International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD).American law does not apply on Facebook. UN law does. The Rabat Plan of Action, which Facebook’s Oversight Board used to justify the censorship of President Trump, declares that states are obliged to restrict speech that “amounts to incitement to discrimination, hostility, or violence” citing ICCPR articles 19 and 20. The UN’s ICCPR Article 19 allows restricting expression for “the reputations of others” and “public order”. Article 20 orders a ban on “propaganda for war” and the “advocacy of national, racial or religious hatred that constitutes incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence.”These are a few of the various UN regulations, treaties, and conventions cited by Facebook’s Oversight Board. And while all this may sound like meaningless UN gibberish to most Americans, these UN rules define what you can and can’t say on the internet.

Great presentation to raise awareness! It is extremely worrying to see this anti science movement growing at this pace and also being promoted by some public figures. As citizens, what can we do to support the outstanding work of these heroes, like @PeterHotez?

If you were really pro-vaccines and pro-science, you wouldn't support corporate capture and coercion of failed products. pic.twitter.com/9CLwrhc2MN

If anyone attempts to convince you that the people protesting for your future freedom are just 'weirdo anti-vaxxers' (or soon 'domestic terrorists') show them this video.
