If it wasn't obvious to you right away that the "Russian bounties" story was manufactured BS, you are an incorrigible dupe. Leaked just in time to be a pretext for Putin-obsessed Dems and the Liz Cheney GOP to block withdrawal from Afghanistan. Couldn't have been more brazen

NYT Finds Themselves in a Blunder Over Their Botched Russian Bounty - Taliban Story

Of course they do...😒#AdamSchiff making up another lie about President Trump. Then going on all CNN, MSNBC shows to make sure this lie is absorbed into the atmosphere. https://t.co/swW5IRysQW
Adam Schiff’s top staff were briefed on the Russian “bounty” intelligence in February during staff trip to Afghanistan. How did Schiff respond? By doing nothing. Schiff didn’t tell HPSCI, or Congress, and didn’t call Trump to urge him to take action.

The officials spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe the delicate intelligence and internal deliberations. They said the intelligence had been treated as a closely held secret, but the administration expanded briefings about it this week — including sharing information about it with the British government, whose forces are among those said to have been targeted. The intelligence assessment is said to be based at least in part on interrogations of captured Afghan militants and criminals. The officials did not describe the mechanics of the Russian operation, such as how targets were picked or how money changed hands. It is also not clear whether Russian operatives had deployed inside Afghanistan or met with their Taliban counterparts elsewhere
Nobody briefed or told me, @VP Pence, or Chief of Staff @MarkMeadows about the so-called attacks on our troops in Afghanistan by Russians, as reported through an “anonymous source” by the Fake News @nytimes. Everybody is denying it & there have not been many attacks on us.....— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 28, 2020...Nobody’s been tougher on Russia than the Trump Administration. With Corrupt Joe Biden & Obama, Russia had a field day, taking over important parts of Ukraine - Where’s Hunter? Probably just another phony Times hit job, just like their failed Russia Hoax. Who is their “source”?— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 28, 2020
"The White House statement addressing this issue earlier today, which denied such a briefing occurred, was accurate. The New York Times reporting, and all other subsequent news reports about such an alleged briefing are inaccurate.” (2/2)

I never heard this. And it’s disgusting how you continue to politicize intelligence. You clearly don’t understand how raw intel gets verified. Leaks of partial information to reporters from anonymous sources is dangerous because people like you manipulate it for political gain. https://t.co/403X9AVGAC

Report: Trump Wasn't Briefed On Unverified Russian Bounty Intel, But Adam Schiff Was https://t.co/6NazB8FDDD
— RedState (@RedState) July 3, 2020
Adam Schiff's top aides were briefed on Russia bounty suspicions. In February. In Afghanistan. Schiff didn't think it was significant enough to alert colleagues on Intel committee, held no hearings, told no one, did nothing. New from me and @seanmdav https://t.co/oZ4NR6NyvD

Top committee staff for Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), the chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, were briefed in February on intelligence about Russia offering the Taliban bounties in Afghanistan, but he took no action in response to the briefing, multiple intelligence sources familiar with the briefing told The Federalist. The intelligence was briefed to Schiff’s staff during a congressional delegation, or CODEL, trip to Afghanistan in February.Schiff, who has acknowledged President Donald Trump was never briefed on the so-called intelligence, has thus far refused to disclose that his staff was personally briefed. The revelation raises serious questions that Schiff is once again politicizing, and perhaps even deliberately misrepresenting, key data for partisan gain.Asked by a reporter Tuesday if he had any knowledge of the Russia story prior to the New York Times report, Schiff said “I can’t comment on specifics.”

Americans are outraged by reports that Russia offered bounties on U.S. troops.

The only American who isn't? Donald Trump. Trump is again taking the Kremlin’s side and calling it a hoax.
This is no hoax, Mr. President. But it is time you put our troops first, instead of Putin. pic.twitter.com/eLid6i0DyE
Rep. Adam Schiff says it is “inexplicable” that Pres. Trump has yet to address the nation on intel about Russian bounties on American troops: “There may be a reluctance to brief the president on things he doesn’t want to hear.” https://t.co/opEe1bL6n8 pic.twitter.com/lXWid7SnMR

The Russian bounty info Schiff knew about in February? That he failed to ever once mention to the media or three test of Congress? That bounty info? Yeah we should look into all who knew about it and did nothing. Let's start with The House intelligence committees!
— JW (@NimuroSan) July 11, 2020
You do know that Russian bounty story (which was relayed to Schiff in Feb but he recognized as a meaningless rumor) remains unverified today? Leftists like unverified rumors like the Steele dossier - so much more salacious than reality.

Yet the confirmed hacking by Russians of our energy supply is nothing for the president to get involved in. No need to even ask Putin about it.
