Palestinian Authority bans LGBT activities in West Bank.— Benjamin Weinthal (@BenWeinthal) August 18, 2019
The ban came after LGBT group Al-Qaws was planing to hold a gathering for its members in Nablus. By @KhaledAbuToameh @Jerusalem_Post cc: @ronzheimer @PeterTatchell @PaulSchindler @GayCityNews https://t.co/BkzSsHCfp4
— JD Rucker (@JDRucker) August 19, 2019The Palestinian Authority’s ban on all LGBTQ activities in the West Bank should be a point of contention that Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib need to reconcile. But they won’t. Mainstream media will bury the story and nobody will ask them how they feel. https://t.co/gKVjfmqgH9
Palestinian Authority bans LGBTQ activities in West BankThe Palestinian Authority banned members of the Palestinian Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) community from carrying out any activities in the West Bank.
The ban came after the grassroots group Al-Qaws for Sexual & Gender Diversity in Palestinian Society (Arabic for “the bow”), which engages and supports Palestinians who identify as LGBTQ, was planning to hold a gathering for its members in Nablus at the end of the month. The group operates both in the West Bank and among Arab-Israelis.
Pretending that this act somehow balances or mitigates Israel violating the dignity & rights of Palestinians - or undermines case for defending Palestinian rights - is deplorable! https://t.co/ISzkNXT3eL— Ilhan Omar (@IlhanMN) August 19, 2019
LGBTQ rights are human rights and we should condemn any effort to infringe upon them.— Ilhan Omar (@IlhanMN) August 19, 2019
But we should also condemn any effort to equate this with the occupation or use this as a distraction.
Only you could make the Palestinian Authorities homophobia about Israel.— Robby Starbuck (@robbystarbuck) August 20, 2019
Where did I pretend that the Palestinian Authority being homophobic had anything to do with Israel? You’re deflecting.
Sounds like you can turn anything into an attack on Israel. Wonder why?
As long as she wants to talk about Israel...— Robby Starbuck (@robbystarbuck) August 20, 2019
Places where it’s legal to be gay:
✅Israel
❌Palestine
❌Egypt
❌Iran
❌Iraq
❌Kuwait
❌Lebanon
❌Oman
❌Qatar
❌Syria
❌Yemen
❌Saudi Arabia
Why is that @IlhanMN? Will you directly condemn those countries? If you won’t... why not?
Interesting that stating the factual oppression of women, religious minorities and LGBT in ME countries is considered 'anti-Muslim' by the left. 🤔— Chad Felix Greene (@chadfelixg) August 20, 2019
The Palestinian police announcement about our activities is very unfortunate. It's very strange that they are accusing us of being a suspicious entity working to take apart Palestinian society. Al-Qaws is a Palestinian organization that has been operating since 2001, and is carrying out educational and professional programs on sexual and gender diversity. We totally reject the attempt to create an atmosphere of prosecution and intimidation, as well threats of arrest.
Palestinians have banned LGBTQ activity. I wonder what #ItsTheLGBTQ think. Or those that tweeted #MyPalestinianSitty. Have Reps. @RashidaTlaib and @IlhanMN commented? How about the LGBTQ for Palestine? You know where LGBTQ is not banned? Israel. https://t.co/yQnrSc04nL— Carmine Sabia (@CarmineSabia) August 19, 2019
The Palestinian Authority BANNED ALL LGBT activities in the West Bank today... maybe Omar and Tlaib wanted to be there to 'witness history.'— Tim Young (@TimRunsHisMouth) August 19, 2019
And of course they... and all their supporters are silent on this.
The unholy alliance between the ideology of izlom and LGBTQ groups, along with the atheist Marxist can only be explained in their shared desire to control the thoughts of others and demand conformity. The inevitable clash of ideologies will take place sooner rather than later.— robert (@magamanx4ever1) August 19, 2019

The terrorist caliphate invaded Jerusalem in 636, held it under siege until 637, and built this Mosque above Jewish sites. In 2019, if you’re Jewish or Christian and want to pray on Temple mount, this is how the sons of that Caliphate will treat you: pic.twitter.com/pqnMNfEnAA— Imam Mohamad Tawhidi (@Imamofpeace) July 14, 2019

Hmm I wonder what these 4 African countries have in common? https://t.co/W4v0bVdyUW— Rita Panahi (@RitaPanahi) August 17, 2019
A little search showed me that it's actually 6 African countries - Sudan, Somalia, Somaliland, Mauritania, Nigeria, and Libya. There is a definite theme and it's not colonialism.— Jim McLaw (@jimmclaw) August 17, 2019
One wonders. Mmm Thinking Thinking. Full tote odds its "The Religion of Peace "— Stuartdw (@Stuartdw1) August 17, 2019
The four countries in question are:— Mark Humphrys (@markhumphrys) August 17, 2019
Mauritania - 99.9% Muslim.
Somalia - 99.8% Muslim.
Sudan - 97% Muslim.
Nigeria (sharia in the Muslim north only).
What could the common factor be?
The people to blame are clearly ......
...........................
the colonial powers!
The laws and punishments regarding sexual activity in these 4 countries are not the same as those of Britain during the colonial period. Not even comparable, in fact. They are the result of post-colonial locally initiated legislation.— Plato's Caveman (@saucerbrain) August 17, 2019
This is true enough. islam is a colonial power, and every African country with the death penalty for gays is an islamic state.— Roger Borg (@RogerOfBorg) August 17, 2019
But you already know this, don't you.
