Martin Luther - Comment On Faith ♥ Re-Post From 5/22/11 Also, Learn The Story About Martin Luther Reformation. Fascinating Stuff. :) Lots Of Respect For This Man Going Up Against A Behemoth.

This description is from the It Is Written Ministries website:

In 1517, on October the 31, a priest in a small town in Germany changed western civilization forever. As Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the Castle Church door, the Protestant Reformation began. Five hundred years later, is the Reformation over? Or is there still work to be done? Join John Bradshaw on location across europe in the opening program of It Is Written’s 500 series.
Hi everybody, hope all of you are doing good. I wake up to The Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) on Sunday mornings. Well, actually, I like waking up to TBN every morning. If you're interested, TBN offers online streaming of their programming so you can watch 24/7 worldwide. I don't have a church that I go to, so I bring the church into my home sanctuary. I get to enjoy teachings from different pastors and get fed the Word of God. Not that there aren't any churches in my area. There are many churches. But when I gave my life to Christ over a decade ago, I felt so overwhelmed and with the decision of what church I should go to. There are so many Christian denominations to choose from that left me confused. I remain a non-denominational Christian. Plus, I didn't feel comfortable going to church. So, I made TBN my virtual church. I am also partnered with several ministries that unfortunately are not close to me or I would attend their church in person. But at least I can participate with tithes and offerings and I'm able to watch their messages online.

I just finished watching It Is Written on TBN. I loved watching this teaching about Martin Luther rebelling against the Catholic church subject by Pastor Robert Bradshaw. I had to look for the video to share with you to enjoy as well. I added a post below that I've been sharing since 2011, a piece Martin Luther wrote about Faith. My faith was greatly tested this past five years. Thank God I held on tight to my trust and faith in my Holy Father, my Creator, my Source promise that He would never leave me nor forsake me. I also thank God for TBN for being available 24/7 on tv and on the internet. There were times when the situation was so intense I was holding on to God's hand so tight in the Spirit realm like a child with my eyes closed. What the devil meant for evil, God turned it all around for my highest good. I had so many situations over the past five years that brought me to my knees. The devil saw me with my head down on my knees and thought that he won until I said AMEN. Prayer works people. I have provided prayers for you to use for whatever situation you need help with on the upper right side of my website. Instead of worrying about your situation, use that time to send your prayers up to heaven. I promise, God will answer your prayers. You will feel, notice the changes in your mood, in your environment right away and then watch God work miracles in your life.

Christianity, or being a Christian means having a 'personal' relationship with God (your Creator, Source of all living things, Creator of the Universe, your Higher power). Christianity is a way of life, it's about the process of surrendering ego and growing in the Holy Spirit on your own 'personal' spiritual journey with Jesus Christ, the living breathing WORD of God who was made flesh to walk among us and now sits in heaven at the right hand of God the Father to act as our chief intercessor, our High Priest.
I'm looking forward to watching the entire It Is Written 500 series. There are nine episodes in total. If you're interested, you too can watch all nine episodes by clicking this web link here at It Is Written 500 Series. Here is the description below from It Is Written Ministries website:

I ORIGINALLY POSTED THIS MESSAGE BELOW ON 5/22/11

Wow, this is an AMAZING message! I was led to this message through a link provided by the webpage I posted in my last message. If you do not know who Martin Luther is please click here to read about him. Martin Luther (November 10, 1483 - February 18, 1546) was a Christian theologian and Augustinian monk whose teachings inspired the Protestant Reformation and deeply influenced the doctrines of Protestant and other Christian traditions.

FAITH

Faith is not what some people think it is. Their human dream is a delusion. Because they observe that faith is not followed by good works, or a better life, they fall into error, even though they speak and hear much about faith. "Faith is not enough" they say, "You must do good works, you must be pious to be saved." They think that, when you hear the gospel, you start working, creating by your own strength a thankful heart which says, "I believe." That is what they think true faith is. But because this is a human idea, a dream, the heart never learns anything from it, so it does nothing and reform doesn't come from this 'faith' either.

Instead faith is God's work in us, that changes us and gives new birth from God (John 1:13). It kills the old Adam and makes us completely different people. It changes our hearts, our spirits, our thoughts, and all of our powers. It brings the Holy Spirit with it. Yes, it is a living, creative, active and powerful thing, this faith. Faith cannot help doing good works constantly. It doesn't stop to ask if good works ought to be done, but before anyone asks, it already has done them and continues to do them without ceasing. Anyone who does not do good works in this manner is an unbeliever. He stumbles around and looks for faith and good works, even though he does not know what faith or good works are. Yet he gossips and chatters about faith and good works with many words.

Faith is a living, bold trust in God's grace, so certain of God's favor that it would risk death a thousand times trusting in it. Such confidence and knowledge of God's grace makes you happy, joyful and bold in your relationship to God and all creatures. The Holy Spirit makes this happen through faith. Because of it, you freely, willingly and joyfully do good to everyone, serve everyone, suffer all kinds of things, love and praise the God who has shown you such grace. Thus, it is just as impossible to separate faith and works as it is to separate heart and LIGHT from fire!

Therefore, watch out for your own false ideas and guard against good-for-nothing gossips, who think they're smart enough to define faith, and works, but really are the greatest of fools. Ask God to work faith in you, or you will remain forever without faith, no matter what you wish, say or do.
