Super Full Moon In Cancer On January 1st and 2nd by Lena Stevens and Patricia Liles at PowerPath.

I added the picture gifs above to the message I've shared with you below. I highlighted the part of the message that inspired the picture gifs I chose. The pictures and gifs that I share sum up my interpretation of the current astrological message.

The Full Moon is Monday January 1 at 7:24 PM Mountain Standard Time (MST).

It is considered a Super Moon which enhances its power to influence whatever you are putting your energy into. We suggest spending some good intentional time and using your emotions, intuition and imagination to set your dreams and desires for the coming year if you have not already done so. If you have, then spend a bit of time either expanding your imagination of what is possible or trying those dreams on energetically.

This is also a very good time to set specific intentions of how you wish and need to serve yourself in the coming weeks and months. This is a year of service and service needs to start with you personally. If you can’t serve yourself, you cannot be of support and service to others. This is a nurturing moon that will inspire you to clean your nest, do your laundry, and focus on how to make your home environment more supportive to you this year. Remember it does not all have to get done today, but you can still set concrete intentions of what you wish to see happen in the coming year.

Many Blessings,

Lena

Cancer Full Moon
Sun in Capricorn ~ Moon in Cancer 11º
Monday, January 1, 7:24 PM Mountain Standard Time
(Tues. January 2, 2:24 AM Greenwich Mean Time)

Full Moon in Cancer is the Moon’s Moon. The Moon is magnificent in her own sign. Cancer, sign of the Great Mother, is a sign of comforting love that deeply nourishes our emotional bodies, represents fertility and gestation within the moistness of the womb, and embodies the circle of security and protection of the family.

This SuperMoon, on New Year’s Day for many, is made even sweeter by the enhancement of a Grand Trine configuration which means planets in each one of the water signs align in close degrees to the Moon: Neptune at 11º Pisces, Mars at 14º Scorpio, Full Moon at 11º Cancer. Our sensitivity is magnified, our receptivity enhanced, our intuition becomes fully available. Emotions are the fuel for intentions, so it’s time to dream your heart’s desire. How do you want it to feel when you bring your dream into reality? That’s the place to start.

With the Moon exactly trined to Neptune, we have access to deep imagination, dreamtime, merging, healing. Give yourself the luxury of whatever stimulates your ability to cross the veil between the visible and the invisible world and lean into the oceanic, invisible, and non-ordinary realms of creation. Explore Neptune’s relationship to the pineal gland and your psychic/empathic abilities. Access the Love that binds this middle world reality together. With Mars powerfully placed in Scorpio, a sign it traditionally ruled, you have the energy of the divine masculine available to take actions needed to bring all those dreams into reality.

We also have a huge predominance in the yin, feminine signs ~ the earth and water signs with this chart. That’s a pattern we will see frequently in 2018 with both Saturn (Dec ’17) and Uranus (May) moving into Earth signs and Mars spending a total of 12 weeks in earthy Capricorn instead of the usual 3 starting in March. The yin signs draw us together socially and into the collective stream. We are more intuitive, receptive, gathering, attracting, magnetic. We can accomplish many things in the yin times, because we are concerned with our security and create for our comfort and welfare.

Venus in Capricorn is very close to the Sun and opposite the Moon. She’s the practical get-things-finished and find-ways-to make-my-life-work-better kind of goddess in this chart. With Saturn so close to her, she’s bound to throw out everything (and everyone) that doesn’t bring pleasure, beauty or balance into her life, and if it doesn’t serve the long range, greater good, she’s not likely to have time for it (or you) at all. This Venus-Sun conjunction turns the Grand Trine into a Kite formation. This is highly integrated, useful energy that will help you function magnificently in just about anything you undertake. The key is using it! You have to DO something with it, not just ride along on its back. Let practicality and productivity be the reigning influence of the year (or at least until New Moon)!

Uranus in Aries is particularly strong as it comes to a standstill in its retrograde motion, and on January 2, slowly begins to retrace the path of its 5-month retrograde. Uranus continues to travel with Pallas Athena and Eris ~the feminine spiritual warriors who seek social justice and who may have provided the fuel for the feminine empowerment and outrage we have been recently experiencing. A very effective alliance I might say! They’ll have a strong ally in the Chinese Year of the Earth Dog as well who is also a champion of truth and justice and of the brave whistleblower. This is Uranus’ final close sweep to the Pluto in Capricorn square now coming within 6º augmenting change and unexpected awakening, demolition of the no longer useful, and best of all regeneration and renewal. Changes fomenting now are the result of the seven exact squares of Uranus and Pluto between 2012-2015. The next decade will continue to orchestrate the changes initiated at those powerful square alignments.

When you look up at this beautiful Full Moon, remember it is a SuperMoon and really IS larger than usual, because it’s closer to the Earth. We are blessed to start our calendar year in such a splendid way. Cancer creates a beautiful container of domestic protection where what we value personally can grow. We begin our year in full, ripe fruitfulness reflected by the Moon’s light illuminating the darkness, a time to honor what has come into fruition in your life, and with Cancer a time to honor all the changing phases of the Moon, Changing Woman. Lay down your fear of change on to the altar of endless Moon cycles. Honor the waters of your body and your planet and the breasts and stomach that are sacred to Cancer. Honor the lineage of your Mother’s people. Draw down the full power of the Moon making it available to you when you need it most.
