USA: In September 2013, President Obama Bypasses Terrorism Rule To Give Weapons To Syrian Rebels That Went Into The Hands Of al Qaeda And ISIS Muslim Brotherhood Islamist Militants.

President Obama, in order to arm Al-Qaeda linked Syrian rebels, has waived a provision of federal law designed to prevent the supply of arms to terrorist groups. Not surprisingly, federal law currently bans giving weapons to terrorists. Though it seems Obama does have the authority to bypass the restriction and he is choosing to do so by arming the Syrian rebels who have links to Al Qaeda, a group still listed as supporting terrorism.
The president, citing his authority under the Arms Export Control Act, announced today that he would “waive the prohibitions in sections 40 and 40A of the AECA related to such a transaction.”

Those two sections prohibit sending weaponry to countries described in section 40(d): “The prohibitions contained in this section apply with respect to a country if the Secretary of State determines that the government of that country has repeatedly provided support for acts of international terrorism,” Congress stated in the Arms Control Export Act.
The Syrian rebels not only include factions that are explicitly loyal to Al Qaeda but, according to US intelligence and experts analysts, those factions are now dominant within the opposition. So it is highly likely that some of the arms being shipped into Syria right now by the CIA will fall into the hands of Syrian rebels loyal to Al Qaeda.
The law allows the president to waive those prohibitions if he “determines that the transaction is essential to the national security interests of the United States.”

Under section 40(g) of the AECA, the Obama team must also provide Congress — at least 15 days before turning over the weapons — “the name of any country involved in the proposed transaction, the identity of any recipient of the items to be provided pursuant to the proposed transaction, and the anticipated use of those items,” along with a list of the weaponry to be provided, when they will be delivered, and why the transfer is key to American security interests.
Essential? I thought it was made pretty clear to the president and friends that America did not have any vital national security interests at stake in Syria. That’s why Obama pulled the bill, it was going down. And that bill was related to chemical weapons not arming the rebels to undermine the Assad government. How is undermining the Assad government essential to the national security interests of the United States?

President Bashar al-Assad has already said that by arming the rebels President Obama will kill the chemical weapons deal. Now bans on arming terrorists are being waved to justify dubious activity that might blow up a peace deal? Looks like war with Syria is still very much on the table as the US government gives weapons to groups loyal to the people that attacked America on 9/11.
President Obama waited over 2 years to send any help to the Free Syrian Army (FSA) who was formed after Syria Tyrant Assad began slaughtering his political opposition, including women and children, because they were protesting his rule. But by this time, most of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) aka Assad's political opposition, had already been killed off by Assad's military and supporters, Iran's para-military and ISIS which is a Smörgåsbord of Islamist militants from around the world intent on imposing an Islamic caliphate (sharia rule) on all infidels (non-Muslims) worldwide.

The ISIS Islamist militants invaded Iraq FROM SYRIA immediately AFTER President Obama FREED those 5 Taliban Islamist monsters from Gitmo. That same week The Taliban Islamist militants massacred many in Pakistan, the al-Shabaab Islamist militants massacred many in Kenya, the Boko Haram Islamist militants massacred many in Nigeria.

Believe me when I tell you, President Obama knows exactly what he is doing and who he is helping. Look at the dates!

I would also like to point out that Assad, the dictator in Syria and Iran were suppying the ISIS Islamist militants too. Assad was delighted to welcome the ISIS Islamist militants from around the world because they were helping him get rid of his political opposition.

The CIA has begun delivering weapons to rebels in Syria, ending months of delay in lethal aid that had been promised by the Obama administration, according to U.S. officials and Syrian figures. The shipments began streaming into the country over the past two weeks, along with separate deliveries by the State Department of vehicles and other gear — a flow of material that marks a major escalation of the U.S. role in Syria’s civil war.

The arms shipments, which are limited to light weapons and other munitions that can be tracked, began arriving in Syria at a moment of heightened tensions over threats by President Obama to order missile strikes to punish the regime of Bashar al-Assad for his alleged use of chemical weapons in a deadly attack near Damascus last month.

The arms are being delivered as the United States is also shipping new types of nonlethal gear to rebels. That aid includes vehicles, sophisticated communications equipment and advanced combat medical kits.

U.S. officials hope that, taken together, the weapons and gear will boost the profile and prowess of rebel fighters in a conflict that started about 21 / 2 years ago.

Although the Obama administration signaled months ago that it would increase aid to Syrian rebels, the efforts have lagged because of the logistical challenges involved in delivering equipment in a war zone and officials’ fears that any assistance could wind up in the hands of jihadists. Secretary of State John F. Kerry had promised in April that the nonlethal aid would start flowing “in a matter of weeks.”

Members of the al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front/ISIS have killed a commander of the so-called Free Syrian Army. A video footage posted online shows al-Nusra militants killing an FSA commander execution-style.

It is the second time in less than a month that al-Qaeda-linked militants kill FSA commanders.

On July 11, members of the terrorist group, Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), assassinated top FSA commander, Kamal Hamami, in the western city of Latakia. He was one of the top 30 figures in the FSA's Supreme Military Command.

Opposition sources said the killing followed a dispute between Hamami's forces and the ISIS over control of a strategic checkpoint in Latakia as they were discussing battle plans.

FSA spokesman Qassem Saadeddine has said that Takfiri militants have threatened to kill all senior commanders of the foreign-backed armed group.

Al-Qaeda-linked groups and FSA have fought deadly battles across Syria several times since the beginning of the unrest in the Arab country more than two years ago.
