May God's Word Give You Comfort And Strength

  1. But when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees [the religious self-righteous zealots (emphasis mine)], they gathered together. Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him, “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” [Matthew 22:36-40 NKJV]

  2. You didn't receive a spirit that makes you a slave to fear once again. Instead you received the Holy Spirit, who makes you God's child. By the Spirit's power we call God "Abba." Abba means Father, daddy. [Romans 8:15 NIRV]

  3. He who heeds the Word wisely will find good, and whoever trust in the LORD, happy is he. [Proverbs 16:20 NKJV]

  4. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. [John 15:7 KJV]

  5. As for God, His way is perfect; the Word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. [Psalm 18:30 NKJV]

  6. Seek His will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. [Proverbs 3:6 NLT]

  7. The LORD says, "I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you." [Psalm 32:8 NLT]

  8. For the LORD gives wisdom, and from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. [Proverbs 2:6 NIV]

  9. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgement you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me. [Isaiah 54:17 NKJV]

  10. Jesus said, "but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. The water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." [John 4:14 NIV]

  11. The LORD is my Rock, and my Fortress, and my Deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust... the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. [Psalm 18:2 KJV]

  13. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. [Matthew 11:28]

  15. He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. [Psalm 147:3]

  16. The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. [Psalm 9:9]

  17. In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul. [Psalm 138:3]

  18. Those who live in the shelter of the most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [Psalm 91:1]

  19. but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. [Isaiah 40:31]

  20. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will. [Romans 12:2]
