Re-post from 5/29/09 for my new readers. Wow Can I get any more blown away by these cartoons?! I seriously love this animator, John Sutherland! This cartoon shows us how fortunate we as Americans truly are compared to the rest of the world! This cartoon was made in 1949. Of course, many factors have changed since then. However, our lifestyle and freedoms remain far greater than the rest of the world. People are still flocking to America from ALL OVER THE WORLD to have a taste of the freedoms we take for granted. Amidst ALL the chaos, theatrics and nonsense, we STILL have so much to be grateful for. Let's not lose sight of that fact and let's keep the beacon of LIGHT SHINING bright! Please, we can not allow that beacon of LIGHT to be extinguished.
