Opera always begins with a story. Opera Tales celebrates the power of story and the joy of music. Working in partnership with the LA Opera, the Company has developed this fun, high energy show that tours to various County Libraries for free family performances.

Verdi Opera Tales features four professional opera performers as the "opera pals" who perform some of the musical moments from such Verdi opera stories as Falstaff, Simon Boccanegra, Rigoletto, La Traviata, Il Trovatore, and La Forza del Destino in celebration of the composer's 200th birthday. Opera Tales is a perfect and easy way to introduce young audiences to the exhilaration of story and music wedded together.

A great event for the whole family! Refreshments will be provided.

A partnership between the County of Los Angeles Public Library and the LA Opera, established and funded by the Flora L. Thornton Foundation and Los Angeles County Supervisor Don Knabe, Fourth District.
