UPDATE 4/10/13 at 6:49am: Dennis Rodman tweeted the following on Twitter, "I started a trend. Everybody's visiting dictators now! Did Beyoncé, Jay-Z pull a Rodman? via @POLITICO http://politi.co/12GxVxU"
To which I replied: Your trip to North Korea and you glorifying Kim Jong Un is equivalent to visiting Germany in the 1940's and glorifying Adolf Hitler and ur proud of that?
I went on to tweet: It's really sad that Dennis Rodman, Jay Z & Beyonce, Sean Penn put their selfish desires above the oppressed they ignored. They prove that money doesn't buy you character, wisdom and integrity.
UPDATE 4/8/13 at 11:11am: Reuters news is reporting on Twitter: Visit to Cuba by Beyoncé and Jay-Z was licensed by US Treasury Department for cultural purposes.
To which I replied: What? Why? Pres Obama probably had the US Treasury BACK DATE the license to cover their a**es. And what does our US Treasury Dept have to do with licensing visits to Cuba for "cultural purposes"? Treasury is money! Our US Treasury Dept manages our taxpayer dollars. The White House source also has very little grey matter between the ears. UNLESS, the White House financially sponsored their "anniversary" trip with our taxpayer dollars and marked it in the US Treasury accounting journal as an expense for "cultural purposes". I smell something really fishy here.
Here you go I found the article: Beyonce, Jay-Z Cuba trip was okayed by US Treasury Dept: source

What is it about these kind of celebrity tools that LOVE to visit communist countries? and then come back and report that everything is beautiful over there and life is good for their people? Sean Penn loved and supported and promoted Hugo Chavez from Venezuela who ruled his country as an iron fisted despot. Dennis Rodman just took a trip paid for by HBO to visit Kim Jong-Un in North Korea and reported nothing but praise for the iron fisted totalitarian leader where most of his people are literally starving to death. NOW here we have Jay-Z and Beyonce taking a so-called "anniversary" trip to visit the Castro's in communist Cuba! Wow. Just WOW!
Oh and I forgot to add that Hugo Chavez former dictator of Venezuela was good friends with BOTH totalitarian rulers in Cuba and North Korea. He supported them at the UN and he supported them with oil supply and money. Connect ALL the dots please. These are things that make me go hmmm... I'm wondering if there is a celebrity tool trip planned to visit with the Supreme Leader of Iran and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? Because they too were dear friends of Hugo Chavez, the former dictator of Venezuela.
These celebrity tools may have loads of money, but have very little grey matter between the ears. I honestly don't care how nice you say they are. Let's say that you had a father who was abusing your mother, you and all of your siblings ie; beating, starving, locking up and I was glorifying your father saying what a great guy he was and how wonderful he treats all of you. How would that make you feel? Seriously, how would that make you feel? Well that's what these celebrity tools are doing, praising, glorifying human rights abusers.
The following describes the people that live in totalitarian/communist states who adore their leader. Stockholm syndrome: an emotional attachment to a captor formed by a hostage as a result of continuous stress, dependence, and a need to cooperate for survival.

Republican Reps. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Mario Diaz-Balart penned a letter to the director of the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control to question why the star couple was allowed to travel to Cuba.
A pair of U.S. lawmakers are questioning how Jay-Z and Beyoncé were allowed to travel to Cuba last week to mark their wedding anniversary.
Reps. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Mario Diaz-Balart, both Republicans from Florida, wrote a letter to the director of the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control expressing “concern” over the megastars’ trip to the Caribbean nation, according to The Miami Herald.
United States citizens are permitted to travel to Cuba only if they obtain a certain license. Although there is a ban for mere tourism, thousands of Americans journey to the island nation each year on academic, religious or journalistic licenses.
Jay-Z and Beyoncé have not commented on why they traveled to Havana. They celebrated five years of marriage last week.
Ros-Lehtinen and Diaz-Balart, like many Florida GOP politicians, have tough stances on Cuba, in part out of deference to the hundreds of thousands of Cuban immigrants who live in the Sunshine State.
They called for an investigation into the hip-hop royalty’s trip, claiming that “U.S. dollars spent on Cuban tourism directly fund the machinery of oppression that brutally repressed the Cuban people.”
