Tonight, even though Animal Care & Control in New York City continues in its failure to care for homeless animals in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, they've managed to put 25 animals on its kill list. The receiving centers in the Bronx and Queens remain closed, and Field Operations is non-existent.
We have a billionaire media mogul mayor with the time to ban large soft drinks and trans fats, to assign letter grades to schools and restaurants, while his animal shelter system fails by every conceivable measure.
