I would like to emphasize that the Khmer Rouge Communist Party of Kampuchea Cambodia was INFLUENCED and INSPIRED by The Communist Manifesto written by Karl Marx aka MARXISM!

HIS brutal regime was behind the deaths of around 1.7million in the killing fields of Cambodia.

But as he went on trial for genocide yesterday, Khmer Rouge deputy Nuon Chea astonishingly claimed that the murderous thugs headed by Pol Pot were “not bad people”. The 85-year-old blamed neighbouring Vietnam for the atrocities. He told a court in the capital Phnom Penh: “I don’t want the next generation to misunderstand history.

“I don’t want them to believe the Khmer Rouge are bad people, are criminals. It was the Vietnamese who killed Cambodians.”

Chea, 85, was known as Brother Number Two during the Khmer Rouge’s reign of terror from 1975 to 1979, when a third of the population was murdered or died as a result of slavery, starvation or torture. When the Daily Mirror first revealed the full horror of the killing fields, the world was appalled.

The regime was toppled in 1979 when Vietnam invaded, and its leader Pol Pot died in 1998.

Chea is on trial with two others. They deny charges including crimes against humanity. Former internal security boss Kaing Guek Eav, 69, was convicted last year and sentenced to 35 years in jail.
