Pres Obama Sends 100 US Troops to Uganda to Help Combat Lord’s Resistance Army!!! O..M..G! Another Fricken WAR! With Several Other Countries In The Works! This Has NOTHING To Do With NATIONAL SECURITY! Why Didn't Pres Obama ADDRESS THE NATION About This Action!?

It kills me to hear his liberal media mouthpieces make excuses for him on this news today and defend this decision!!! It was yet another Obama admin friday night news dump with the OWS protestors distracting the general public from all of this critical news!!! Obama said they would not be ordered to combat BUT says they will battle when necessary in self defense! Well HELLO... Obama is putting our troops on their soil to combat the LRA and YOU KNOW they are going to attack our US troops!!! So that would mean ultimate WAR because Obama is going to then send in MORE TROOPS to defend our troops! This decision has NOTHING to do with National Security! He's instigating WAR! WAKE TFU AMERICA!!!

And how much do you want to bet that Pres Obama is going to re-instate the military DRAFT!!! In his twisted mind he will be able to prop up the economy, put most of the unemployed back to work and solve the illegal immigration problem.
The Selective Service (and the draft) in the United States is NOT LIMITED to citizens. Howard Stringer was drafted in 1965, six weeks after arriving from his native Britain. Today, non-citizen males of appropriate age in the United States, who are permanent residents (holders of Green Cards), seasonal agricultural workers, refugees, parolees, asylees, and even illegal immigrants, are required to register with the Selective Service System. Refusal to do so is grounds for denial of a future citizenship application. [source: wikipedia]
Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY) is introducing a legislative bill right now to make the US Military DRAFT LAW!
[Huffington Post 10/7/11] Right now, 3.3 million military households, representing only one percent of American families, have become a virtual military class who are unfairly carrying the burden of war. My bill, The Universal National Service Act (H.R. 5741), commonly known as the "draft" bill, mandates two years of national service for all adults 18 to 42 in any capacity that promotes our national defense. It ensures fairness in the enlistment process and deliberated defense policies.
As far as I'm concerned our US troops shouldn't be in ANY OF THESE WARS PERIOD! I want them to come back home NOW. US Military service should remain VOLUNTARY! The far-left liberal politicians and Americans denigrate WAR when the other party is in power. But when they have control they are all for it! SHAMELESS HYPOCRITES! How can any of you DEFEND Obama's and the democats recent military actions?!?! All of you in the OCCUPIED MOVEMENT get ready to be DRAFTED! Thanks to the ahole politicians you support and who conveniently support your OWS movement.
[PBS NewsHour pdf document] Timeline of conscription (mandatory military enlistment) in the U.S.: Present - The U.S. currently operates under an all-volunteer armed forces policy. All male citizens between the ages of 18 and 26 are required to register for the draft and are liable for training and service until the age of 35.

Two days ago President Obama authorized the deployment to Uganda of approximately 100 combat-equipped U.S. forces to help regional forces “remove from the battlefield” – meaning capture or kill – Lord’s Resistance Army leader Joseph Kony and senior leaders of the LRA.

The forces will deploy beginning with a small group and grow over the next month to 100. They will ultimately go to Uganda, South Sudan, the Central African Republic, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with the permission of those countries.

The president made this announcement in a letter to House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, Friday afternoon, saying that “deploying these U.S. Armed Forces furthers U.S. national security interests and foreign policy and will be a significant contribution toward counter-LRA efforts in central Africa.”

He said that “although the U.S. forces are combat-equipped, they will only be providing information, advice, and assistance to partner nation forces, and they will not themselves engage LRA forces unless necessary for self-defense.”

The president said that for more than two decades the LRA has been responsible for having “murdered, raped, and kidnapped tens of thousands of men, women, and children in central Africa” and continues to “commit atrocities across the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and South Sudan that have a disproportionate impact on regional security.”

The president in his letter noted that Congress passed “the Lord’s Resistance Army Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act,” signed into law on May 24, 2010, in which, the president said, “the Congress also expressed support for increased, comprehensive U.S. efforts to help mitigate and eliminate the threat posed by the LRA to civilians and regional stability.” [THE DEMOCRATS WERE IN TOTAL CONTROL OF CONGRESS and THE SENATE FROM 2009 to 2010!!! (emphasis mine)]

When the president signed that letter in May 2010, he said the bill “crystallizes the commitment of the United States to help bring an end to the brutality and destruction that have been a hallmark of the LRA across several countries for two decades, and to pursue a future of greater security and hope for the people of central Africa. The Lord’s Resistance Army preys on civilians – killing, raping, and mutilating the people of central Africa; stealing and brutalizing their children; and displacing hundreds of thousands of people. Its leadership, indicted by the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity, has no agenda and no purpose other than its own survival. It fills its ranks of fighters with the young boys and girls it abducts. By any measure, its actions are an affront to human dignity.”

Human Rights Watch has a great deal of information about the infamous LRA.

Update: A Defense Department official tells ABC’s Luis Martinez at the Pentagon that the U.S. troops will be in Africa “for a few months in an advisory role.”
