MTV's Aimee Allen, Ron Paul Anthem

A came across a blogger today that said this video was the most nauseating he had ever seen. This was my reply: Really? I like it! She has a right to express herself in any manner she wants! I actually think she is SPOT ON! She is not saying anything that isn't accurate. Plus, I like her style. :)

UPDATE 7:20pm PST: After posting this video I'm now being called a Libertarian fascist and I'm part of a cult of personality. Why do you assume that I am a Liberatarian? I want to be clear, I was a democrat my entire life. Born and raised in a very very liberal household and environment. I am now a staunch independent/centrist. Voting for whomever will protect Americans civil rights and individual liberty!!! and stop robbing us blind!

I am NOT an anarchist. I believe that we need some form of limited government to manage our public affairs and services. There has to be some structure established or else we would have total chaos out in the street. Our republic is supposed to be a government of the people, for the people and by the people. Our government is supposed to manage our US treasury responsibly and efficiently. After all, it is our money that is being used in the form of taxation, to pay for these services. Instead we have dirty rotten scoundrels in charge who have been robbing us blind and then have the nerve to demand more in taxes so they can continue stealing from the US Treasury?!

Our U.S. Constitution is a contract that was set up to PROTECT US (the people) from government overreach and lays out our civil rights and government boundaries! You should take the time to read it when you can. We need to be leery of anyone who suggest we get rid of it.

As for Ron Paul's presidential candidacy, his legislative voting record speaks for itself. He never voted himself a raise unlike his collegues. He voted against the Iraq and Afghanistan wars also known as Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002. He voted against the USA Patriot Act. He voted against the Military Commissions Act (MCA) of 2006 and Military Commissions Act (MCA) of 2009 which was renamed to National Defense Authorization Act. He voted against TARP the bankers, auto and housing bailouts which is also known as The Economic Stimulus Relief Bill of 2008. He voted against Obama's TALF which stands for Termed Asset-Back Securities Loan Facility but is otherwise known as Helping Families Save Their Homes Act of 2009 and PPIP which stands for Public-Private Investment Program. He voted against the FDA Food bill. He says what he means and means what he says. Please click the links I provided above if you would like to view the voting record for each legislative bill that was signed into law.

Their voting record is a great barometer to know where each person stands. If your representative votes present or is a no vote often, you need to vote them out. Because that indicates that they are either not working (not showing up to vote and someone else is pressing the button for them) or don't want to show how they truly feel on the subject matter. A yes or no is all that is required.

FYI: "The March 2008 House vote to pass the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008, also called the Paul Wellstone Mental Health and Addiction Equity Act of 2008. The bill was never approved by the Senate in this form. It was later co-opted by the Senate as the "vehicle" for the quick passage of the economic stimulus bill, by replacing the entire text of the measure with the stimulus bill.

This was the House's October 2008 successful vote to pass the Economic Stimulus Relief Bill, after HR 1424 was co-opted by the Senate as the vehicle to quickly pass the legislation. The House had already approved the bill as the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008 also called the Paul Wellstone Mental Health and Addiction Equity Act of 2008. This vote approves the Senate's amendment to re-write the bill as the stimulus bill." [source: GovTrack]

My friend Linda shared this great quote with me today, Les Morgan said: "If we cut the federal government in half; reducing by half, the bureaucracy in Washington DC, and entirely shut down Jimmy Carters Dept of Energy and Dept of Education, and the *only* people who would miss them are the bureaucrats who work in those departments, and the Beltway lobbyists who grift off of them. Give Washington a 50% unemployment rate, and the rest of the country would boom." HEAR HEAR!!!

Ron Paul Anthem ~ by Aimee Allen

Wake up! Good morning America! Rise and Shine

Ron Paul! Save our constitutional rights
Ron Paul! We’re not gonna give up the fight
Ron Paul! Start a revolution
and break down illegal institutions

We don’t want no war no more
bring our boys home to our shores
We don’t want big government
Or the Bilderberg group that pays for it

The Federal ID means a police state
and Mr. Jefferson’s rolling in his grave
when our names turn to numbers like 666
according to the gospel on implantable chips

Chorus

The Patriot Act took our liberties
And there’s no judge and no jury
Tapping our phones, breaking down our doors
waging on the people a civil war!

We work 3 jobs and bring home no pay
The IRS takes it all away
and we struggle, slave to pay the rent
So, Ron Paul for President

Chorus

(Ron Paul speaks)

Chorus
