A massive 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck the Pacific island nation of Vanuatu on Tuesday, reports said.
However, there were no immediate tsunami warnings issued for the region.
The undersea temblor was epicentered 133 kilometers southwest of Vanuatu's capital Port Vila and occurred at a depth of 26 kilometers.
The island nation hemmed in between Australia, Fiji and Northern New Zealand is located in the seismic-prone "Pacific Ring of Fire."
