Go Vegetarian To Save Planet, Scientists Tell Government! Give Me A Break Will Ya! They're Going Too Far Now!

Give me a break! They're going too far now! I am so tired of these people trying to IMPOSE their global warming/climate change stupidity and vegetarian lifestyle on the world!!! It has already been made known that your global warming campaign is a complete and utter FALSEHOOD. If they want to make those changes in their PERSONAL LIVES so be it. But leave the rest of us the hell alone! I respect vegetarians. I mean seriously, if that floats your boat and makes you happy HOORAY. But it would be nice if the feeling was reciprocated. I mean come on, we don't live together. I eat what I want and you eat what you want and we can all remain friendly with each other. Right?

I eat beef and vegetables. I am an OMNIVORE. But I don't go around IMPOSING my love for beef on you. I don't eat lobster, crab or shrimp. I do eat sushi and cooked fish now, although steak still remains my first choice. I used to drive my family crazy because everybody in the family loved sea food but I didn't. Growing up I used to spend my summer months at my grandparents home. When I was around 5 years old, my grandmother served us a fish meal for dinner. My grandmother was the best cook on the planet, but I was totally grossed out. I ate everything else but the fish and she told me that I couldn't get up from the table until I finished what was on my plate. I ended up being the last one seated at the table. Fast forward many hours later around 10pm, I watched grandma turning out all of the lights around house as she was getting ready for bed. When she came to the kitchen she said, "Josette what are you still doing here?" I replied, "you told me not to get up from the table until I finished my food." The shocked look on her face was priceless. She told me to get up and go to bed. The next day grandma served me the same dish I left and the same thing happened. This exchange between my grandmother and I lasted every night for one week until finally she said "ENOUGH you win I'll serve you whatever you want just eat." ;) I wasn't trying to be a mean grandchild and my grandmother knew that I wasn't. It was a battle between two strong willed females. She wanted me to learn to love fish and I couldn't fake it. I sincerely couldn't stand the smell of fish which made the taste worse for me. Not to mention I was traumatized walking through a fish market just prior to this episode. The moral of the story is I held true to my TASTE-BUDS and instead of me having to accomodate everybody else's taste, from that day forward if sea food was being served in any family members home, they were kind enough to have a special dish prepared for me. Sure I was the oddball and yes my family had some good laughs at my expense everytime. But I didn't care one iota. I was laughing with them enjoying my special dish, usually a big fat juicy steak which happens to be my favorite lol ;)

Don't let people define you. Just be yourself and never be afraid to ask for what you want NOT what somebody else wants for you. These scientists can go to hell for all I care. I'm sure they'll be happy there. I mean that is where they learned their oppressive values. If my grandmother who I loved beyond words could not get me to change my food taste, there is no way a government is going to dictate my eating habits. I am my own person and I will fight to the bitter end to keep it that way for all of us. It has to remain a PERSONAL CHOICE.

I just had a vegetarian friend on Facebook try to gross me out describing factory farming living conditions. Listen, I too am disgusted with factory farming and am adamantly against it. But the solution isn't to eliminate meat altogether. No. The obvious solution would be to eliminate factory farming altogether. At the same time encourage and reward pastoral farming. The ONLY reason why factory farms still exist in America is because our government officials at the Federal, State and Local levels ALLOW them to exist. Meanwhile, our government has been systematically destroying our farming communities across America. Now you need to ask yourselves why this is? and what can we do to change this? I know The Humane Society of the United States has been feverishly working to end factory farming and I thank them for their efforts. Please click HERE to learn more. The EU is in the process of approving the sale of meat and dairy products from CLONED animal offspring and I bet you these CLONED cows will be housed in a factory farm. We can't let our US government approved the sale of CLONED anything, including Genetically Engineered Salmon and other fish the FDA is considering on our behalf.

Diets should change to help the planet with beef replaced by pork, cheese by eggs, ice-cream by yoghurt and whisky by beer, according to research for the Food Standards Agency.

Scientists from the University of East Anglia analysed existing data on the nutritional and environmental effects of different kinds of foods.

Eating less beef, sugar, and cheese, as well as drinking less tea and coffee, were recommended, as well as eating more pulses and cereals.

The report was commissioned by the Food Standards Agency to try to change the way people cook and eat.

Other recommendations included eating more seasonal produce to reduce transportation and switching to microwave ovens and pressure cookers to use less energy in preparing food.

The report suggests that schools, hospitals and other public bodies should be expected to lead a change in national behaviour by putting food on their menus which has contributed little to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

The report noted: "The highest GHG emissions are associated with beef, cheese, coffee, tea and cocoa consumption." <===BULLSH*T

It continued: "The way we as a society, and as individuals, choose to mitigate climate change as regards food, will also alter the way we eat." <===BULLSH*T

UEA was at the centre of allegations last year that it had manipulated climate change data to magnify the problem.

Its report, called Food and Climate Change, could raise opposition among those who enjoy eating produce from around the world at any time of the year.

However, the recommendations will be welcomed by vegetarian campaigners and those who support organic farming, which is recognised in the study as producing food that is lowest in harmful emissions.

A spokesman for the National Farmers' Union said: 'It is simply not true that fruit and vegetables are a better climate option than meat and milk. You have to look at how these crops are produced in terms of the energy used for growing and transport."
