Charles Krauthammer Slams President Obama For Shovel Ready Admission

President Obama admitted today to the New York Times that there is no such thing as a shovel ready job. Charles Krauthammer let him have it tonight on Special Report.

Wow! and he has spent the past 2 YEARS telling everybody that there are 100s of shovel ready projects ready for his close to $1 TRILLION in stimulus!!!!! and right now President Obama is pimping to get yet another $50 BILLION stimulus bill passed for.. you guessed it "SHOVEL READY PROJECTS". Our country has absolutely NOTHING to show for that $1 TRILLION already given to him.

Here is a ratio I wish ALL of you in Washington, even ALL of you at the state and local levels, would have engrained in your foreheads:

A performance measure used to evaluate the efficiency of an investment or to compare the efficiency of a number of different investments. To calculate ROI, the benefit (return) of an investment is divided by the cost of the investment; the result is expressed as a percentage or a ratio.

The return on investment formula:

In the above formula "gains from investment", refers to the proceeds obtained from selling the investment of interest. Return On Investment is a very popular metric because of its versatility and simplicity. That is, if an investment does not have a positive ROI, or if there are other opportunities with a higher ROI, then the investment should be not be undertaken.
