GM To Invest $500 MILLION In Mexico Plant

Jerry the mouse laughing
Hahahahahaha... O-M-G!!! This is just classic! How's that for American JOB CREATION?!! Our government takes OUR TAXPAYER MONEY, invests it in GM (we OWN 61% of GM = Majority Ownership) so they can turn around and EXPORT JOBS to Mexico! L☺L!!!

I had to laugh hysterically when I read this news. It is the same as Bank of America using some of the TARP bailout money they received to invest in a Chinese commercial bank. That money was "supposed" to be reinvested in America! Yeah right, it's ALL b.s.!
[The NY Times 10/18/08] U.S. politicians could be forgiven a raised eyebrow or two. Bank of America took $15 billion under the U.S. Treasury's Troubled Asset Relief Program, known as TARP. Now its chief, Ken Lewis, is spending $7 billion of his spare cash upping the bank's stake in China Construction Bank, or CCB, to 19 percent. It might smack of TARP funds - borrowed by the United States from countries like China - going full circle back to the Middle Kingdom.
Uuuugggghhhh! President Obama is STILL fricken CAMPAIGNING!!! Non stop everyday, even yesterday on his birthday. NOW TODAY he has the nerve to drop in on a Ford plant and TAKE THE CREDIT for Ford's success!!!!!!! President Obama said that it was because he bailed out the other two American auto manufacturers that Ford was successful. Hahahahahaha!!! Then he gave an interview to Phil LeBeau from CNBC at the Ford plant to proudly proclaim ECONOMIC RECOVERY BEGINNING TO PAY OFF!

Ford DID NOT get a government auto bailout. They pulled themselves up from their bootstraps on their own. Obama has alot of NERVE claiming he helped. Ford is truly an American success story!!! Ford proved that sacrifice and ingenuity creates or is responsible for a successful profitable business!!! Ford re-branded their product and launched an awesome marketing campaign and restructured their target market. GREAT JOB Ford! Americans are PROUD of you!

General Motors will invest some $500 million to produce a new vehicle and eight-cylinder engines in a plant in northeastern Mexico, a company spokesman said on Wednesday.

The decision was announced at a meeting Tuesday between GM management and Mexican officials, the spokesman said, without giving details of the new vehicle.

The investment in the GM plant in Ramos Arispe, Coahuila state, would generate 390 jobs, he added.

General Motors has been present in Mexico since 1935, where it has some 11 000 workers, four factories, an engineering center and a test circuit.
