Loneliness to me equals emptiness. Being alone simply means I am by myself. Therefore, a person can be alone and NOT FEEL lonely if their spirit is filled with peace, love and joy! This kind of fullfillment can be felt by filling your alone time with stuff that makes you happy! This could be music, a movie, challenging yourself playing video games or computer games, chatting with friends online, reading an inspirational book, sitting and relaxing in your yard listening to the birds. Do not depend on other people to make you happy and don't wait for your circumstances to change the way you want them to. Simply choose to BE HAPPY right where you are!
There is also a GREAT BIG difference between a loner and being alone. A loner is apathetic with the world and has low self-esteem. Meanwhile, a person who is alone enjoys their own company and is content with just simply being present. This is a deeply satisfying experience. ♥♥♥ But I would like to add that because I am one who enjoys my time alone, I deeply cherish my time spent with family and friends.

“Solitude is strength; to depend on the presence of the crowd is weakness. The man who needs a mob to nerve him is much more alone than he imagines.”
~ by Paul Brunton
“Being solitary is being alone well: being alone luxuriously immersed in doings of your own choice, aware of the fullness of your won presence rather than of the absence of others. Because solitude is an achievement.”
~ by Alice Koller
“Solitude is not something you must hope for in the future. Rather, it is a deepening of the present, and unless you look for it in the present you will never find it.”
~ by Thomas Merton
"To dare to live alone is the rarest courage; since there are many who had rather meet their bitterest enemy in the field, than their own hearts in their closet." ~ by Charles Caleb Colton
This is the quote I live by...
"Leaders are like eagles, they don't flock.
You find them one at a time."
