This Is The Last Time part 3 of 6

I'd like to share this very powerful message given by Dr. Jamal Bryant regarding the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. I have typed a transcript of the first 5 minutes of this message for my international readers who need to translate. I hope you take the time to listen to this entire message.

************************************************************

They pulled the hair out of His face to make Him ashamed. And one of the atrocities that is affecting the Kingdom of God is the issue of low self-esteem. People no longer love themselves. That you are surrounded by insecure people who want you to dumby down because they can't handle the level of intellect and creativity that you have. But your season of compromise is over. If you don't want me, just don't talk to me. If you can't handle the gift that God's got for me go to somebody else. But what God's got for me.

They pulled the hair from His beard. So that they thought Jesus would lose face. But I like the Psalmist who said "life up your hands, o ye gates, be ye lifted up so that the King of Glory shall come in. Who is the King of Glory? The LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your head." When you worship God don't you dare do it with your head down. But lift up your head so the enemy can see you. You meant it for evil but God meant it for good.

The whole attempt diabolically of the enemy of pulling hair out of the face of Jesus so that He would bleed is that He would lose face. We find a string of occurences in Genesis chapter 3 and 8 when it is that Adam and Eve hear the Master trapesing through the Garden they hear His footsteps and begin to hide because they don't feel worthy to be in His presence. In Genesis chapter 4 versus 14 when it is that Cain has sinned before God, he is banished from His presence. In Exodus chapter 3 versus 6 when Moses is in the presence of God, he hides his face because he is afraid to look at God. But you'll notice that when they pull the hair out of the face of Jesus, that there is now blood on His face. Now this is important because it helps us to understand that we no longer have to just go after the hand of God, but now we're living in a season we're we are going after the face of God. So that when we are worshipping God I'm not here to see no Jamal Bryant or Donny McClurkin, I'm here because I want to see His face. I don't know where you are, but there is somebody who's got a hunger for the things of God. That you ain't come for no choir, you ain't come for no praise team. God knows you ain't come for no announcement. I just want to see His face. Is there anybody in here tonight that wants to see the face of God.

That is the third time that He bled for me. The first time is in circumcision. The second time is in consternation. The third time is humiliation. The fourth time that He bled for me is digression. Because we are getting closer now to that sacred moment of the drama of the Gospel when Jesus finds Himself getting ready to be cruxcified. He doesn't say a mumbling word when He is in the court house. But now they go through Roman tradition where they tie Him to a whipping board. I want to park here and segue and tell you that the enemy is a coward. The enemy is a coward watch this because they tie Him to the whipping board and they begin to pull out a whip a cat of nine tails. At the end of this cat of nine tails are pieces of nails and pieces of metals so that every time they whip Him a piece of His flesh comes out. He's stripped holding down a piece of this whipping board. But you'll notice because I told you that the enemy is a coward they did not whip Him in His chest. Oh no they did not whip Him in His chest. But rather they whipped Him in His back. Now you've got to understand that the back is a metaphor for the past. Yes, they whipped Him in His past. Now I want for you to understand that the most pain you will ever experience is not in your chest. Because that symbolizes your future. So the greatest pain that you'll ever have to endure is behind you.
