Goodbye 2009! Au Revoir ~ Arrivederci ~ Sayonara! Don't Let The Door Hit You On The Way Out!

Off The Wall ~ by Michael Jackson

I love everything Michael Jackson ever released. However, if I had to choose one song that I could listen to every morning and did, it would have to be "Off The Wall". Enjoy the lyrics! I hope you have a fantastic time celebrating New Year's tonight and please be safe!

Off the Wall ~ by Michael Jackson

When The World Is On Your Shoulder
Gotta Straighten Up Your Act And Boogie Down
If You Can't Hang With The Feeling
Then There Ain't No Room For You This Part Of Town
'Cause We're The Party People Night And Day
Livin' Crazy That's The Only Way

So Tonight Gotta Leave That Nine To Five Upon The Shelf
And Just Enjoy Yourself
Groove, Let The Madness In The Music Get To You
Life Ain't So Bad At All
If You Live It Off The Wall
Life Ain't So Bad At All
Live Your Life Off The Wall

You Can Shout Out All You Want To
'Cause There Ain't No Sin In Folks All Getting Loud
If You Take The Chance And Do It
Then There Ain't No One Who's Gonna Put You Down
'Cause We're The Party People Night And Day
Livin' Crazy That's The Only Way

So Tonight Gotta Leave That Nine To Five Upon The Shelf
And Just ENJOY YOURSELF
C'mon And Groove, And Let The Madness In The Music Get To You
Life Ain't So Bad At All
If You Live It Off The Wall
Life Ain't So Bad At All
Live Your Life Off The Wall

Do What You Want To Do
There Ain't No Rules It's Up To You
It's Time To Come Alive
And Party On Right Through The Night

Gotta Hide Your Inhibitions
Gotta Let That Fool Loose Deep Inside Your Soul
Want To See An Exhibition
Better Do It Now Before You Get To Old
'Cause We're The Party People Night And Day
Livin' Crazy That's The Only Way

So Tonight Gotta Leave That Nine To Five Upon The Shelf
And Just Enjoy Yourself
C'mon And Groove (Yeah) Let The Madness In The Music Get To You
Life Ain't So Bad At All If You Live It Off The Wall
Life Ain't So Bad At All
Live Your Life Off The Wall

So Tonight Gotta Leave That Nine To Five Upon The Shelf
And Just Enjoy Yourself
C'mon And Groove (Yeah) Let The Madness In The Music Get To You
Life Ain't So Bad At All If You Live It Off The Wall
Life Ain't So Bad At All
Live Your Life Off The Wall

The MOST Irritating Person of 2009 Is..... ????? ~~ The Narcissist Himself

"President Barack Obama has declared that America has "failed to appreciate Europe's leading role in the world" and has "shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive" towards its allies." [source: Telegraph UK 04/03/09] Wow! That sounds a whole lot like the way you have been acting towards the AMERICAN PEOPLE!

You see sir it has never been about you, even though you have made it about you. It has always been about the 307 MILLION Americans you SWORE to PROTECT and SERVE. You are the Commander-In-Chief, President, Head of State, Leader of the FREE WORLD and NOT the Queen of Shiba (yes pun was intended). You are NOT a ruler, you are a PUBLIC SERVANT employed by 307 MILLION Americans. It would behoove you to start taking responsibility because you are now in control and NOT the former administration. Therefore, you need to STOP blaming them. Since January 20th, it has been YOUR DECISIONS (ie; action/inaction) that have set the precedence. You are being HELD RESPONSIBLE acting as Head of State!

You and your administration care more about IMPOSING your will on the 307 MILLION American citizens INSTEAD of responding to the will of the people. You and your adminstration care more about NOT OFFENDING the ENEMIES of the State (ie; al-qaeda and the taliban) who have OPENLY DECLARED WAR UPON OUR NATION INSTEAD of defending our homeland and the 307 MILLION American citizens you swore to PROTECT. In fact, you are about to IMPOSE MORE RESTRICTIONS on the American people. INSTEAD of zeroing in on the ENEMY and making their lives a living hell, you are aiding them to make our lives a living hell. You are intent on granting the enemy civil rights. How can they have rights? They are NOT AMERICANS, they are ENEMIES OF THE STATE! You can't even get yourself to publicly call a spade a spade. Why? Al-qaeda is a MUSLIM MILITIA GROUP. If you would allow yourself to look beyond your humongous EGO, you would clearly see that the ONLY people, the ONLY HUMAN PARASITES on this planet who want AMERICANS DEAD and sole purpose in life is to bring down America are RADICAL MUSLIM (ISLAMIC) EXTREMIST aka JIHADIST. They have even publicly taken credit for ALL of the suicide killings, including Major Hasan and the one this past Christmas. My gosh how much more evidence do you NEED?

Now I want to be clear, I am NOT referring to the law abiding hard working freedom loving kindhearted Muslims. There is a distinction! One respects LIFE and the other does not! You need to make that clear. The Muslim community should not be offended because you are singling out those blood sucking human parasites who are making them look bad and disgracing the Muslim religion. I also want to make another point clear, the Radical Muslim Extremist are recruiting vulnerable weak minded young men from every race!

Mr. President, you have a passive/agressive personality. You have publicly CONDEMNED our CIA, NAVY SEALS and Guantanamo Bay for mis-treating our enemies. Then you turn around and nail them for NOT doing their jobs. Well what's it going to be sir? Who's side are you on? Our DEFENSE or the enemy who gets great joy KILLING INNOCENT CIVILIANS? My neighborhood watch is more vigilant and pro-active than your defense management skills. You are NOT even PRO-ACTIVE, you are re-active and pitifully at that. Yes, my neighborhood watch profile's individuals. It's called criminal profiling of suspicious characters trapesing through our neighborhood that we sense are up to no good. A mugger, a thief and a tagger comes in every color and believe me when I tell you we've caught every race in a criminal act. We know their MODUS OPERANDI. In fact, we make our presence KNOWN. We don't give a damn about OFFENDING suspicious characters when we confront them in the wee hours of the morning! If a criminal element happens to get past our neighborhood watch and one of our neighbors gets victimized, we step up our neighborhood watch even more! What we have discovered is that the criminal element is watching (OBSERVING) us. Therefore, the BEST and most effective way we have learned to defend our community is to start thinking like the criminal element. Plus, we have a good relationship with the local police department. That way we are one step ahead of them. The bottom line, we know that it is either going to be them or us. My neighbors and I absolutely REFUSE to be VICTIMIZED by these human parasites that are out to DESTROY our community!!! Our neighborhood remains nice, clean and safe because WE have come together as a community to KEEP IT THAT WAY!

Mr. President I believe it is time for you to wise up and quickly for ALL OF OUR SAKE. These RADICAL MUSLIM EXTREMIST do not care who you are, they will not take pity on you because you've kindly asked them. They know your weakness. What's worse, they know our homeland security weakness. It's all a game to them. Their whole existence hinges on OUTSMARTING America! and they recruit young lonely muslim boys as pawns in their game of VIOLENCE and DEATH. Why? Because these blood sucking parasites need a host and they attach themselves to the MOST VULNERABLE. Al-Qaeda used this young man as BAIT to test you and get a feel of your reaction. You can't ignore a flea and think for one second that one flea is harmless. Why? Because all the one flea needs is a host to survive in order to multiply EXPONENTIALLY infesting its environment and ultimately killing the HOST!

Also, don't forget Al-Qaeda has UNLIMITED RESOURCES. Ask yourselves who is FUNDING THEM and who is supplying them with weapons? Hmm... could it possibly be Hamas and Hezbollah? They are Shiite Islamist Militants in Palestine and Lebanon. They are NOT REFORMERS, they are DESTROYERS and they will gladly MURDER anyone who opposes their DEMENTED belief system! And who do you think has been funding Hamas and Hezbollah? Answer: IRAN.

It is time to wake up and get serious Mr. President. Because they are stepping up their game and calling a check mate very soon. It's either them or us.

Dropping The Past ~ Let The Dead Bury The Dead

Dropping The Past
Let the dead bury the dead
[source: Osho International]

Gather courage -- the journey has already started. Even if you go back you will not find the old shore again. Even if you go back, those old toys will not be of any help anymore; you are finished with them, you will know they are toys. Now the real has to be found, has to be inquired into. And it is not very far away either -- it is within you.

A man who lives according to the past is bound to feel boredom, meaninglessness, and a kind of anguish: "What am I doing here? Why am I continuing to live? What is there in tomorrow? -- another repetition of today? And what was in today was a repetition of yesterday, so what is the point? Why go dragging yourself from the cradle to the grave, in the same routine?"

It is perfectly good for buffaloes and donkeys -- because they don't have a memory of the past, they don't have any idea of the future. They are not bored, because for boredom a certain consciousness is needed. This consciousness is aware that you have done it before, you are doing it again, and you will be doing it tomorrow also -- because you don't move away from the past, you don't let it die, you keep it alive. This is the dilemma that everybody faces in life, and the only solution is to let the past die.

There is a beautiful story in the life of Jesus. He comes to a lake; it is early morning, the sun has yet not risen, and one fisherman is just going to throw his net into the lake. Jesus puts his hand on his shoulder and says, "How long are you going to do this thing, every day -- morning, afternoon, evening -- just catching fish? Do you think this is all life is meant for?"

The fisherman says, "I have never thought about it, but because you have raised the question, I can see the point, that life must be something more."

Jesus says, "If you come with me I will teach you how to catch men, rather than catching fish." The man looked into Jesus' eyes... such depth, such sincerity, so much love that you cannot doubt this man, such a great silence surrounding him that you cannot say no to this man. The fisherman threw his net into the water and followed Jesus.

As they were leaving the town a man came running and told the fisherman, "Your father who was ill for many days has died. Come home!"

The fisherman asked Jesus, "Just give me three days so that I can do the last rituals that a son is expected to do when his father dies." And this is the statement that I want you to remember: Jesus said to that fisherman, "Let the dead bury their dead, you come with me."

What does he mean? "The whole city is full of dead people; they will manage to dispose of your dead father. You are not needed. You just come with me."

Every moment something is becoming dead. Don't be antique collectors; that which is dead, leave it. You go with life, you flow with life, with your totality and intensity, and you will never face any dilemma, any problem.

The Parable of the Sower

The Parable of the Sower

1. That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. 2. Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. 3. Then he told them many things in parables, saying: "A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. 9. He who has ears, let him hear."

10. The disciples came to him and asked, "Why do you speak to the people in parables?"

11. He replied, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. 12. Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. 13. This is why I speak to them in parables:

"Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. 14. In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: "'You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. 15.For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts
and turn, and I would heal them.'

16. But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. 17. For I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.

18. "Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: 19. When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown along the path. 20. The one who received the seed that fell on rocky places is the man who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21. But since he has no root, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away. 22. The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful. 23. But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown."

Jesus (Yahshua) Is The LIGHT Of The WORLD

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. (John 8:12 KJV)

Jesus answered, "Are there not twelve hours of daylight? A man who walks by day will not stumble, for he sees by this world's light. It is when he walks by night that he stumbles, for he has no light." (John 11:9-10 NIV)

Then Jesus told them, "You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. The man who walks in the dark does not know where he is going. Put your trust in the light while you have it, so that you may become sons of light." (John 12:35-36 NIV)

And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (1 John 1:4-7 KJV)

You, O LORD, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. (Psalm 18:28 NIV)

The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes. (Psalm 19:18 NIV)

The LORD is my light and my salvation — whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life — of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1 NIV)

For you have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life. (Psalm 56:13 NIV)

Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, O LORD. ((Psalm 89:15 NIV)

He wraps himself in light as with a garment; he stretches out the heavens like a tent. (Psalm 104:2 NIV)

If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. (Psalm 139:11-12 NIV)

The Word of LIFE and Walking in the LIGHT

(New International Version)

The WORD of Life

1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of LIFE. 2 The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. 3 We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. 4 We write this to make our joy complete.

Walking in the LIGHT

5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is LIGHT; in him there is NO darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the TRUTH. 7 But if we walk in the LIGHT, as he is in the LIGHT, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, PURIFIES us from all sin.

8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will FORGIVE us our sins and PURIFY us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.

Jesus (Yahshua) IS The Living Breathing WORD Of God Represented By The Holy Spirit That Comes To Live INSIDE Of YOU The Breath Of God ~ God IS HOLY

(King James Version)

1 In the beginning WAS THE WORD, and the Word WAS WITH God, and the Word WAS God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4 In him was LIFE; and the LIFE was the LIGHT of men.

5 And the LIGHT SHINETH in darkness; and the darkness comprehended IT NOT.

6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the LIGHT, that all men through him might believe.

8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that LIGHT.

9 That was the TRUE LIGHT, which lighteth EVERY man that cometh into the world.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him NOT.

11 He came unto his own, and HIS OWN received him NOT.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he POWER to become the sons of God, even to them that BELIEVE on his name:

13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, BUT OF God.

14 And the WORD was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of GRACE and TRUTH.

15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

17 For the LAW was given by Moses, but GRACE and TRUTH CAME by Jesus Christ.

18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

Three Earth Ages Explained Simply! This Teaching Will Help Many Of You Understand What Existed Before The Earth Was Formed Again In Our New Beginning! PLEASE READ ♥

This bible study was written by Roger D. Christopherson
and it's transcription location is provided by http://www.theseason.org/plough.htm

There are three basic earth ages, while the third is basically divided into two parts. The start of these earth ages was at a time far in the eons of the past, millions of years ago.

First Earth Age:

The first earth age was the time spoken of in Genesis 1:1, II Peter 3, and Jeremiah 4:18 to the end of the chapter.

Mankind did not exist in the flesh, however the animal world did. It was far more expanded then what is common in this earth age. An example of this is in the elephant world, where there are three known species existing today, living in the world. In the first earth age, there were over thirty types that have been dug up.

All souls were created in the first earth age, and lived in what we call their soul bodies. The reason that we find no fossils today dating back beyond 6,000 to 10,000 years is because man did not exist in the flesh body. All souls were in existence then.

It was also in the first earth age that Satan, the most beautiful of all angels allowed his pride to overcome him, and the fall, of not only Satan came, but one third of all souls that existed then also fell.

This brought about the Fall of Satan, and the end of the first age. It is because of that fall, or "toho va boho" the destruction, where by all animals and living forms on earth came to an end.

8414 tohuw (to'-hoo); from an unused root meaning to lie waste; a desolation (of surface), i.e. desert; figuratively, a worthless thing; adverbially, in vain: KJV-- confusion, empty place, without form, nothing, (thing of) naught, vain, vanity, waste, wilderness.

922 bohuw (bo'-hoo); from an unused root (meaning to be empty); a vacuity, i.e. (superficially) an undistinguishable ruin: KJV-- emptiness, void.

Second Earth Age:

The second earth age started with Genesis 1:2, and God's plan of reconstruction of this earth, and all that was to live on it, began. This is the age of the flesh, whereby all souls were required to be born of woman, from the womb, [of water, within the womb] And be tried and tested, and for this God gave each soul what is called "free-will". They had the right to chose God, or Satan.

However there are some that were special in this earth age, for they are the ones that took a stand against Satan's rebellion against God, and thus they were judged and set aside in that first earth age, and those people are what we call the "elect".

The purpose of God sending a Son to be born of woman, was established before the start of this flesh age, for God laid his plan out in the constellations in the heavens, and that is what the signs of the ages are.

Now it is important to know that the races were created separate and prior to Adamic, or "ruddy complected man", and it was through the Adamic race that God selected to send His Son, through the womb of woman, Mary. This is why it was forbidden of mixed marriages in the beginning, for Satan had polluted mankind with his sexual union with Eve, and from that union came Cain, and his offspring, the Kenites.

So now lets look at the time frames of this second earth age:

First period, from Adam to the flood, which was about 1,800 years, and ended with the flood of Noah's day. It covers the time span of ten generations.

Second period, from Noah's flood, to the Abraham covenant. This was approximately 400 years,

Third period, from the Abrahamic covenant to the time Moses led the children of Israel out of Egypt. This period included the birth of Isaac, and his son Jacob, who's name was changed to Israel by God. Israel had twelve sons, and those twelve sons bred from twelve families into a nation of twelve tribes.

Forth period, from Moses leading the children out of Israel to entering into promised land. Time; forty years. This was the time in the wilderness, when God gave the laws, statutes and ordinances.

Fifth period, The time of the judges to the monarchy, which was about 450 years. During this time Israel was ruled by Judges, that God appointed.

Sixth period, The time of the Monarchy to the split of the kingdom. This time was about 120 years. During this time, Israel was ruled by King Saul [the Benjaminite] for 40 years. Then King David for another 40 years, and King Solomon for another 40 years. When King Solomon died, the kingdom was split into two houses, also called nations. The names of these two nations were; "the House of Israel" and "the House of Judah".

Seventh period is "split"

The rule of the House of Israel was about 200 years, to the time of captivity by Assyria.

The rule of the House of Judah was about 320 years, when Nebuchadnezzar the King of Babylon brought Judah into captivity.

The House of Israel comprised the ten tribes to the north, all except Judah and Benjamin, with the tribe of Levi the priests for all the tribes. This House of Israel was captured and scattered in 722 B.C., and are known today as the Christian nations. The Tribes became so scattered that they lost the identity to themselves, and became known only as Caucasians.

The House of Judah comprised the tribes of Judah, Benjamin, with part of the tribe of Levi. These people later became know as the Jews, because they mixed with the Kenites, and allowed themselves to be taken over by these Kenites, while in captivity in Babylon. God deals with Judah and Israel separately in scriptures.

Eighth period, Israel never comes back as a nation until the Millennium age.

Judah spends 70 years in captivity, in which time the Levitical priesthood is completely taken over by Kenites, and mixes into the house of Judah so that they are accepted as children of God and Israel, when in fact they are of the Satan, and will ultimately kill Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God.

Ninth period, This period was about 605 years. Close of the Old Testament, to the Birth of Christ. This period starts with the Jews coming out of Babylon, released by Cyrus the Great, and led by Ezra and Nehemiah back to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple, and city of Jerusalem. It was at this time that these prophets saw the pollution taking place with the scripture, because the scribes were nothing but Kenites [II Chronicles 2:55]. Thus they created a fence around the scriptures, called the Massorah, where by the writings could not be changed.

It was during the Ninth period that the Grecian [Hellenists] came to power, and the world was split into four parts, called the king of the north, south, east and west. The King of the north was Salucid Leggit, who ruled from Syria to India. The king of the South was Ptolomy Soto, who ruled Egypt, all Africa and the Arabian area of today. The king of the east was Lysandrius, who later died and the kingdom shattered into small nations in what we call Eastern Europe today, and the king of the west was Casandrus, who also died without a legacy, and this kingdom was later built into the Roman empire.

Tenth period, will be about 2000 years, up to the time of the coming of the Antichrist. This is the Christian period where Salvation is open to all mankind of every race, who will believe on Jesus Christ and repent of their sins in Jesus name.

Eleventh period, This is the time of the Antichrist, and has been shortened to five months, per Revelation 9:5, 10 All the world will give themselves over to Antichrist, except God's elect. It is a closed period, where you will either be sealed with the Word of God, or you will not. It is absolute. The elect will be sealed, all others will not.

Third Earth Age:

The start of mankind out of the flesh body, as Paul explains in I Corinthians 15:50-54.

Twelfth period, The Millennium age, 1,000 years, ending with Satan released and many falling back into worshipping him. This age is man in their soul bodies, for all flesh will be disposed of in this Millennium age. It is a time of discipline, and learning, and all men will be judged at the end of this period, By their works only.

The elect will be the joint teachers, priests and judges with Jesus Christ during this period, and they only will have received the rewards of their incorruptible [liable to die, flesh bodies], in immortal [eternal] bodies.

Thirteenth period, Judgment, the Great white throne of judgment, where all men are judged by their works, the saved Elect will not be judged here but receive rewards, the evil, and sinful souls with go with Satan into the lake of fire and become ashes, non existent. Even the memory of those will be taken from the minds of the souls with eternal life.

Fourteenth period, Eternal kingdom. New heaven and a new earth, the new Jerusalem comes down from heaven, with its streets paved with gold, and all rewards will be eternal.

This period never ends.

The History of Creation

From The Book of Genesis
Genesis 1 (NKJV)
1. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2. The earth was WITHOUT form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the (Holy) SPIRIT of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

3. Then God said, “Let there be LIGHT”; and there was light. 4. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. 5. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.

6. Then God said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.” 7. Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. 8. And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day. 9. Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so. 10. And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good.

11. Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. 12. And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 13. So the evening and the morning were the third day.

14. Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; 15. and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. 16. Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. 17. God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18. and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19. So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

20. Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an ABUNDANCE of LIVING CREATURES, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.” 21. So God created GREAT sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22. And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” 23. So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

24. Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so. 25. And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

26. Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. [This is the day God created ALL of the races. The Gentiles. (emphasis mine)] 28. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” 29. And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. 30. Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so. 31. Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Genesis 2 (NKJV)
1. Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. 2. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. 3. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.

4. This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens, 5. before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the LORD God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground; 6. but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground.
7. And the LORD God formed man of the DUST of the ground, and BREATHED into his nostrils the breath of LIFE; and man became a LIVING BEING.

Life in God’s Garden
[ADAM and EVE were created seperately and placed in the garden of eden for His pleasure. This is the blood line from where Abraham, Isaac, Jacob (Israel), Joseph, Moses, David, and Jesus (Yahshua) would come through. God's beloved. (emphasis mine)]

8. The LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. 9. And out of the ground the LORD God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

The Holiness of God ~ WOW This Is An AMAZING Interpretation! I Have Been Left In AWE ~~~ PLEASE READ

Holiness of God
By Pastor Nick Bibile

One of the major differences between Christianity and other religions is that God of the Bible is infinitely holy. The Hebrew word, "to be holy" is quadash, it is derived from the root word qud, which means to cut or separate. God is absolutely separated and is above from all his creatures and he is exalted above in infinite majesty."Who among the gods is like you, O LORD ? Who is like you; majestic in holiness, awesome in glory" (Exodus 15:11) In fact some of the most vivid displays of Gods holiness is displayed in the Old Testament. One of the greatest passages is found in Isaiah chapter six.

HOLY, HOLY, HOLY IS THE LORD

Isaiah prophesied during the reign of four kings over a period of sixty years. One of the kings that lived during Isaiahs time was king Uzziah. He became a king when he was 16 years old and reigned the nation for 52 years. Now that is a pretty long time. Its like American people experiencing 13 presidents ruling in their 4 year terms. It was like saying, long live the king, as generations have experienced the rule of Uzziah. But the king died. When he died, apparently the entire nation was feeling a sense of panic and fear, as their leader is dead. Isaiah the prophet went to the temple of God, and he sees another king, an eternal King, sitting on his throne.

"In the year that king Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple." (Isaiah 6:1)

When you see the word Lord, here it refers to Adhonay in Hebrew meaning the sovereignty of God. But when you see the word LORD in capital, it refers to the name of God, Yahweh.

The human king is dead but the sovereign king of the Universe is alive, His Kingship is forever and it never ends. This is a picture of His majesty, His glory and power. The exalted one who became a servant. Yes, he is the one who became flesh. Apostle John said, "Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus glory and spoke about him." (John 12:41)

Isaiah 6:2 says, "Above him were seraphs, each with six wings, with two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying."

These angels were created and designed to proclaim the holiness of God. They were flying with two wings above the throne of God. This is the exaltation of his throne. Then it says that they covered their feet with two wings. Why did they cover their feet? In Exodus chapter three we see how God appeared to Moses in a burning bush. God said to Moses, "Do not come any closer; take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground." (Exodus 3:5) But this is just a normal place, where Moses is familiar with this area. Why is it that only now this spot suddenly became holy? Whenever Gods presence appears everything becomes sanctified. It was Gods presence that made the ground holy. When God descended in a fire to Mt. Sinai, prior to that he told the people to consecrate themselves. (Exodus 19) Here in Isaiah the angels cover their feet because of the presence of Gods holiness. Just imagine, if we see an angel, that would be awesome. But even the angels are covering their feet as Gods holiness brings his absolute majesty and glory.

Then it says with two wings they covered their face. Do you know why the angels cover their faces? In Exodus 33:18, Moses asked the Lord to show His glory. God said, "You cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live." (Exodus 33:20) It is absolutely impossible to see the infinite glory of His majesty, not even the angelic creatures, How awesome is His glory! Then God told Moses, "You may stand on a rock. When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand, until I passed by. Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen." (Exodus 33:22-23) The God of the Universe is infinitely holy, even these angelic beings cannot see the full glory of Him.

Then in Isaiah 6:3, the angels were calling to one another:
"Holy, holy, holy is the LORD almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory."

This is the only time in the Bible an attribute of God being repeated three times. The Bible say that God is love, but not love, love, love. According to Jewish custom, when they wanted to emphasize a point they repeated it two times. Jesus said, "Truly, truly I say unto you" This mean it is absolutely truly what he was going to say. But here in Isaiah Gods holiness is repeated not to the second degree but to the third degree, which means he is infinitely holy. On the other hand the Antichrist is called with the number 666, repeated to the third degree of evil.

The holiness of God is somewhat different than all His other attributes, as God is holy in all His attributes. He is holy in His Goodness, holy in his Justice, holy in His Wrath, etc., He is majestic in His Holiness, because His name is Holy. In the past the name of a person reflects the character of that individual. Gods name is holy, that means all what he thinks and does is holy. "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name" (Matt. 6:9) "For this is what the high and lofty One says, who lives forever, whose name is holy; I live in high and holy place" (Isaiah 57:15)

The scribes who copied one manuscript to another, when it came to the name of God, they used another pen, and even if a king was passing by when he was writing the name of God, the scribe will not look at the king as the name of God is infinitely holy than anything else.

We can never fully understand the holiness of God. It is immeasurable. He is infinitely holy and the ten commandments reveal his holiness to mankind. Thats why no one can keep the commandments, we all fall short fall of His glory.

The Visit of the Magi to Baby Jesus (Yahshua)

The Visit of the Magi

1. After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem 2. and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him."

3. When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. 4. When he had called together all the people's chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Christ was to be born. 5. "In Bethlehem in Judea," they replied, "for this is what the prophet has written:

6. "'But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel.'"

7. Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. 8. He sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and make a careful search for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him."

9. After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. 10. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. 11. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh. 12. And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.

The Escape to Egypt

13. When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. "Get up," he said, "take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him." 14. So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, 15. where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: "Out of Egypt I called my son."

16. When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi. 17. Then what was said through the prophet Jeremiah was fulfilled:

18. "A voice is heard in Ramah, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more."

The Birth of Jesus (Yahshua)

The Birth of Jesus

1. In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2.(This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3. And everyone went to his own town to register.

4. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7. and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

The Shepherds and the Angels

8. And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ, the Lord. 12. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."

13. Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14. "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."

15. When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."

16. So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18. and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

The Birth of John the Baptist and Jesus Foretold

The Birth of John the Baptist Foretold

5. In the time of Herod king of Judea there was a priest named Zechariah, who belonged to the priestly division of Abijah; his wife Elizabeth was also a descendant of Aaron. 6. Both of them were upright in the sight of God, observing all the Lord's commandments and regulations blamelessly. 7. But they had no children, because Elizabeth was barren; and they were both well along in years.

8. Once when Zechariah's division was on duty and he was serving as priest before God, 9. he was chosen by lot, according to the custom of the priesthood, to go into the temple of the Lord and burn incense. 10. And when the time for the burning of incense came, all the assembled worshipers were praying outside.

11. Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right side of the altar of incense. 12. When Zechariah saw him, he was startled and was gripped with fear. 13. But the angel said to him: "Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to give him the name John. 14. He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, 15. for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even from birth. 16. Many of the people of Israel will he bring back to the Lord their God. 17. And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous—to make ready a people prepared for the Lord."

18. Zechariah asked the angel, "How can I be sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well along in years."

19. The angel answered, "I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news. 20. And now you will be silent and not able to speak until the day this happens, because you did not believe my words, which will come true at their proper time."

21. Meanwhile, the people were waiting for Zechariah and wondering why he stayed so long in the temple. 22. When he came out, he could not speak to them. They realized he had seen a vision in the temple, for he kept making signs to them but remained unable to speak.

23. When his time of service was completed, he returned home. 24. After this his wife Elizabeth became pregnant and for five months remained in seclusion. 25. "The Lord has done this for me," she said. "In these days he has shown his favor and taken away my disgrace among the people."

The Birth of Jesus Foretold

26. In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27. to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. 28. The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."

29. Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30. But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. 31. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. 32. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33. and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end."

34. "How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?"

35. The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. 36. Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. 37. For nothing is impossible with God."

38. "I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her.

Mary Visits Elizabeth

39. At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, 40. where she entered Zechariah's home and greeted Elizabeth. 41. When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42. In a loud voice she exclaimed: "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! 43. But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44. As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. 45. Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!"

What Is In A Name? 'Yah vs. Yeh'

I was led to this website searching for the origin of Jesus' name. I did this because I know that his Hebrew name, the one that he was given at birth is Yahshua. I wanted to share some facts with you so that you too could have this knowledge. Again, what does it matter when Jesus was born? What matters is that December 25th has become a day for those who believe to come together all around the world in celebration and rememberance. Christmas is derived from 'Christ mass', holiday is derived from 'Holy day' and Santa Claus is derived from 'Saint Nicholas'. This is a day that brings everybody joy. Why would you want to change that?

For those who do not believe (aetheist), what does it hurt you to let them be. Why don't you show respect for their beliefs that you are fighting so vehemently to receive yourself? The unbelievers (aetheist) are doing the same thing, trying to controversally influence others to their point of view. The unbeliever (aetheist) in my opinion is just as much of a hypocrite as the Christian extremist, Muslim extremist and Jewish extremist. You're a hypocrite because you are trying to impose your non-belief onto everyone else. Isn't that precisely what you can't stand about the extreme fundamentalist, the imposition of beliefs? If you don't believe, just don't celebrate and leave it be. Why don't you just create a day when all of you un-believers can come together and call it even. It makes no difference to me that you don't believe. That's your right and I respect you for that. In fact, I wouldn't care if you worshipped a rock. All I care is that you treat everybody with kindness and respect. Isn't that how you would want others to treat you?

I'm curious, why are you non-believers not making a big hoopla about Ramadan, Hanukkah or Kwaanza? Why are the words Christmas or God such a threat to you that you find it necessary to abolish them? Hhmmm... Does Jesus scare you that much that you need to erase Him entirely? Why don't you care this much about Buddha, Muhammad or the several gods the Hindu's worship? Hhmmm...

‘Yah vs. Yeh’

Now one last issue to address for those who dogmatically want to argue for Yehshua/Yeshua instead of Yahshua, is in regard to what Yahshua himself said about his name. First, I want to address the argument usually given in defense of Yehshua/Yeshua as the ‘right name.’ Most of the time, the Yehshua/Yeshua camp, argues from the point of the reason that the angel of Yahweh gives for Messiah’s name. In Matthew 1:21 he tells Miriam (‘Mary’) that the reason she is to give the certain name to Messiah is because he will save his people from their sins. In Hebrew (biblical) custom, all names carry meaning and are given with that meaning in purpose (see Gen 32:28-30 for example).

So we know that Messiah’s name will carry the meaning, “He will save.” The Yehshua/Yeshua camp correctly understands this, however, when applying this principle, they take the root word for save, which is Yesha, and they apply this to the Hebrew abbreviated name, Yod-Shin-Waw-Ayin ([wvy), and they incorrectly call the name Yehshua/Yeshua. Now they actually use the correct Hebrew spelling for the abbreviated form of the name - Yod-Shin-Waw-Ayin ([wvy). However, because they fail to understand that the name Yod-Shin-Waw-Ayin ([wvy) is merely an abbreviation of Yahushua (Yod-Hay-Waw-Shin-Ayin - [vwhy ) and not a different name, they conclude that Yehshua/Yeshua is the correct name for Messiah, simply because it does mean “He will save.”

That would seem to be the end of it - case closed, right? Well, basically, yeah it is. The only problem is that the Yehshua/Yeshua crowd neglects to acknowledge that the Yod-Shin-Waw-Ayin ([wvy) is actually the abbreviated form of Yahushua, thereby making the transliterated form Yahshua, not Yehshua/Yeshua. And yet, there is another part of this ‘puzzle’ that clears up any still lingering confusion about whether Messiah’s name is Yahshua or Yehshua/Yeshua. That other part is what Yahshua himself said about his name and who he was. In John 5:43 Yahshua said, “I have come in the name of my Father.” This statement is key in understanding Messiah’s name. Not only does this statement clearly tell us that he came in the authority of his Father, Yahweh, but it gives us a huge clue in knowing his name.

As before, we must keep the understanding of the great meaning that is conveyed in Hebrew names. When we use the proper Hebraic understanding, what we see here is that Yahshua said he came in his Father’s name - literally meaning that he carried the name, or banner, of his Father, Yahweh. This other part of the puzzle lets us know that Messiah’s name carries two meanings - the meaning of “He will save” and the very name (banner) of his Father. If his name was Yehshua/Yeshua, then his name does not convey that he came in his Father’s name as it should, but that he came in his own name. The reason is as follows.

His Father’s name is Yahweh. Yahshua told us that he came in his Father’s name, thus, his Father’s name should either be in Yahshua’s name or Yahshua’s name should in some way convey the Father’s name. The feminine passive participle word, Yehshua/Yeshua does not do that, however, the name Yahshua does. You will notice that the first syllable of Yahweh is Yah. You will also notice that the first syllable of both Yahushua and the abbreviated Yahshua is also Yah.

Yah not only conveys the very name of the Father, Yahweh, but Yah is even used as the abbreviated form of the Father’s name in Psalm 68:4 (see Strong’s # 3050). When Yah, conveying the name of the Father, is combined with Yasha, meaning to save, we have the name Yahushua or Yahshua, which means “Yah will save” or “salvation is of Yah.” Thus Yahshua (or its full form) properly fulfills both, what the angel told Miriam (Mary) about Messiah’s name, and what Messiah himself tells us about his name. Salvation is of Yahweh through the one who comes in His name to save his people from sin - Yahshua.

So what should we conclude from all this? Is this a bunch of unnecessary information that just complicates matters? No, I certainly don't think so. I think it's pretty simple actually. When we’re saying the Messiah’s name, it doesn't matter if you say Yahshua or Yehshua/Yeshua, because essentially the same name is being spoken despite your personal vocal flare on the Yah or Yeh. So does this mean we just went over all that stuff for nothing? Of course not. I believe that when we are specifically trying to teach others the name of the Messiah, that it is important to teach the proper name of Yahshua. It’s simply a matter of teaching correctness, not preference. However, if writing about other topics than the specific teaching of Messiah’s name, if your preference is to use Yehshua or Yeshua, then by all means do so.

Yeshua is easier and faster to type than Yahshua or Yahushua. But I stress the importance of using the correct name, Yahshua, anytime that one is teaching or writing about the name of the Messiah in particular, because it should be taught correctly. But hopefully this slightly more detailed explanation on the Messiah’s name will help to put out those argument fires between the Yahshua folks and the Yehshua/Yeshua folks. And now we can have a closer more meaningful communion together without the tension of the name issue always lurking around the corner amongst Messianic Believers. ~ Shalom.

Was Jesus (Yahshua) Born On December 25th?

Wow! I like the way this answer was put together. I've heard people ask this question many times before and would like to share this answer with you. I was led to this website "All About Jesus Christ" same time last year where I have taken the following information for you to enjoy!

*******************************************************

Was Jesus born on December 25?

Was Jesus born on December 25? There is no evidence for this date. So then, who decided that Jesus' birth would be celebrated on that date? The early Christian church did not celebrate Jesus' birth. It wasn't until A.D. 440 that the church officially proclaimed December 25 as the birth of Christ. This was not based on any religious evidence but on a pagan feast. Saturnalia was a tradition inherited by the Roman pagans from an earlier Babylonian priesthood. December 25 was used as a celebration of the birthday of the sun god. It was observed near the winter solstice.

The apostles in the Bible predicted that some Christians would adopt pagan beliefs to enable them to make their religion more palatable to the pagans around them. Therefore, some scholars think the church chose the date of this pagan celebration to interest them in Christianity. The pagans were already used to celebrating on this date.

The Bible itself tells us that December 25 is an unlikely date for His birth. Palestine is very cold in December. It was much too cold to ask everyone to travel to the city of their fathers to register for taxes. Also the shepherds were in the fields (Luke 2:8-12). Shepherds were not in the fields in the winter time. They are in the fields early in March until early October. This would place Jesus' birth in the spring or early fall. It is also known that Jesus lived for 33.5 years and died at the feast of the Passover, which is at Easter time. He must therefore have been born six months the other side of Easter - making the date around the September/October time frames.

Other evidence that December 25 is the wrong date for the birth of Jesus comes from early writings. Iranaeus, born about a century after Jesus, notes that Jesus was born in the 41st year of the reign of Augustus. Since Augustus began his reign in the autumn of 43 B.C., this appears to substantiate the birth of Jesus as the autumn of 2 B.C. Eusebius (A.D. 264-340), the "Father of Church History," ascribes it to the 42nd year of the reign of Augustus and the 28th from the subjection of Egypt on the death of Anthony and Cleopatra. The 42nd year of Augustus ran from the autumn of 2 B.C. to the autumn of 1 B.C. The subjugation of Egypt into the Roman Empire occurred in the autumn of 30 B.C. The 28th year extended from the autumn of 3 B.C. to the autumn of 2 B.C. The only date that would meet both of these constraints would be the autumn of 2 B.C.

John the Baptist also helps us determine that December 25 is not the birth of Jesus. Elizabeth, John's mother, was a cousin of Mary. John began his ministry in the 15th year of Tiberius Caesar. The minimum age for the ministry was 30. As Augustus died on August 19, A.D. 14, that was the accession year for Tiberius. If John was born on April 19-20, 2 B.C., his 30th birthday would have been April 19-20, A.D. 29, or the 15th year of Tiberius. This seems to confirm the 2 B.C. date, and, since John was 5 months older, this also confirms an autumn birth date for Jesus.

Another interesting fact comes from Elizabeth herself. She hid herself for 5 months and then the Angel Gabriel announced to Mary both Elizabeth's condition and that Mary would also bear a son who would be called Jesus. Mary went "with haste" to visit Elizabeth, who was then in the first week of her 6th month, or the 4th week of Dec., 3 B.C. If Jesus was born 280 days later it would place his birth on Sept. 29, 2 B.C. Some scholars interpret the 6 months to be in line with the Hebrew calendar or the August-September time frame. Since Mary's pregnancy commenced a little before the sixth month around July, Jesus would be born somewhere around March-June.

But does it matter if Jesus was born on the spring, the fall, or on December 25? Does it matter, theologically, when Jesus was born? What do you think, does it matter what day we celebrate His birth?

Spending to not spend
Pelosi's office defended the Presidio expenditure.

"The Heritage Center at the Officers' Club will introduce visitors to a series of exhibits, digital media, classrooms and programs about the Presidio and its role in the development of the American West," said Pelosi spokesman Brendan Daly.

The Presidio expenditure presents an unusual irony. After the Presidio was included in a round of military base closures, Pelosi helped craft a public-private agreement to keep its valuable real estate from being carved up by developers. The congressional requirement promised that the park would be free of federal subsidies by 2013.

The $5 million earmark will fund close to 25 percent of the center's estimated renovation and help leverage other donations from corporations and foundations, said Tia Lombardi, director of public affairs at the Presidio Trust.

In other words, the trust needs federal subsidies to lure private investment - so it no longer has to rely on federal subsidies. The building, which dates to the early 1800s, is now used for exhibitions and events.

The proposed 20,000-square-foot center will highlight the historical significance of the Presidio, from its birth in 1776 under Spanish rule through its Mexican occupation, then as the vanguard of the U.S military's strategic command from 1846 through the 20th century.

"Our focus here," Lombardi said, "is to try to make this park work."

Bay Area earmarks
The $626 billion defense appropriations bill approved by Congress includes 1,720 earmarks worth $4.2 billion. Here are some earmarks from members of the Bay Area delegation:

$3.2 million
Rep. Mike Honda, D-San Jose, above, Rep. Zoe Lofgren, D-San Jose, and Democratic Sens. Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein. The funds would be spent on what Honda described as the "long-overdue (environmental) remediation" of the former Almaden Air Force Station.

$2.4 million
Rep. George Miller, D-Martinez. The funds would go to MicroAssembly Technologies, Inc. in Richmond to develop "an array of micro-machined switches" to help the Air Force Research Laboratories Space Vehicles Directorate develop a system for "rapidly building spacecraft," Miller said.

$1.6 million
Rep. Sam Farr, D-Monterey. The funds for the Monterey Institute of International Studies would "enable the DOD to develop in-home capacity for translation and interpretation skills more cost-effectively," Farr said.

$1.6 million
Rep. Barbara Lee, D-Oakland. The money would fund an electronic patient records system at Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland. Lee said the new system could reduce costs by as much as 20 percent.
