This is my favorite scene from the movie 300. King Xerxes sends his messenger to King Leonidas of Sparta! Please watch and you will understand why I have posted this video clip. The messenger tells the King of Sparta that "all god King Xerxes requires is this, a simple offering of earth and water, a token of Sparta's SUBMISSION to the will of Xerxes." Watch to see how King Leonidas of Sparta responds to this demand of SUBMISSION or else risk death. I love this scene!
King Leonidas is the EPIDEMY of a TRUE LEADER with courage, strength and honor. I don't mean simply because of his physical strength, I am referring to his CHARACTER. A person's character has the greatest significance in the human experience. Do you know who you are? Do you know what you stand for? Do you know what standards you have set for yourself and others? Do you know your boundaries and what lines you would not cross?
