Waterwars: The New Dust Bowl In California! pt 1

I watched Paul Rodriguez plea for help one month ago on the Hannity program. He was on again last night and apparently after contacting everyone and anyone including the President of the United States NOT ONE POLITICIAN has addressed this very serioius issue in the State of California. This is a MUST WATCH VIDEO with important information provided by Paul Rodriguez!

Now I am an animal rights activist. I do believe that many species deserve to be on the endangered species list. Many species are indeed on the verge of extinction. However, stopping the water flow to the California farmers because of the little minow fish is ABSURD. Our state is directly attached to a humongous ocean for heaven's sake! Why can't we find a way to filter the water from this major water source?

There is always a win-win solution to every situation. Human beings are able to co-exist with nature. The native Americans did it why can't we? WHY didn't our government consider relocating the little minow fish so that it could continue to breed in another location? Why didn't our government think about the consequences of shutting off the water flow entirely? Why didn't our government create another water line to REPLACE the one they shut off that would enable our local farmers to irrigate their crops?

What came to me last night that described the cause was the classic movie titled "Chinatown". "The story, set in Los Angeles in the 1930s, was inspired by the historical disputes over land and water rights that had raged in southern California during the 1910s and 20s, in which William Mulholland acted on behalf of Los Angeles interests to secure water rights in the Owens Valley."

I don't believe the water rights issue has anything to do with the little minow fish. They used putting the minow fish on the endangered species list as an EXCUSE! You need to find out who owns the water rights to that pump that was shut-off? There is no question in my mind that the drought has been deliberately manipulated by the "Powers that Be". Oh great, I just found out that the US Bureau of Reclamation is the sole water distributor to our central California farmers. This is a FEDERALLY mandated drought. It's no wonder why our government is not responding to Paul Rodriguez and the other farmers. What does our government have to gain? Who are 'they' making shady deals with behind closed doors? Because I see nothing but death and destruction of crops and farm animals not to mention a major loss of jobs and revenue to our state as a result of their decision. This is SHEER INSANITY!
