The Boss ~ by Diana Ross

Hi everybody, HAPPY FRIDAY! I've been playing this song this evening and dancing in my living room. It's healthy for all of us to take a much needed break from all of the non-sense! God is LOVE! God is the BOSS! He always has the last WORD! Love to all of you.

This is a video of Diana Ross live at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, September 1979. Lyrics were written by Nickolas Ashford and Valerie Simpson. I love these LYRICS! I think most of us can identify with them. You know when you thought it was all about you and you were the one in control. You can either choose to humble yourself on your terms or find out what it means to be humble on God's term. It's your choice. Enjoy!

The Boss ~ by Great Diana Ross

Fancy me
Thought I had my degree
In life and how love
Ought to be a run

I had a one step plan to prove it
Guide in my pocket for fools
Folly and fun
LOVE had to show me one thing

I was so right
So right
Thought I could turn emotion
On and off
I was so sure
So sure (I was so sure)
But LOVE taught me
Who was who was who was the boss
(taught me who was who was the boss)

I'd defy
Anyone who claimed that i
Didn't control whatever moved in my soul
I could tempt
Touch delight
Just because you fell for me
Why should I feel uptight
LOVE had to show me one thing:

I was so right
So right
Thought I could turn emotion
On and off
I was so sure
So sure (I was so sure)
But LOVE taught me
Who was who was who was the boss
(taught me who was who was the boss)

LOVE taught me
Taught me
Taught me
Taught me

I was so right
So right
Thought I could turn emotion
On and off
I was so sure
So sure (I was so sure)
But LOVE taught me
Who was who was who was the boss
(taught me who was who was the boss)
