My gosh can Nancy Pelosi kiss President Obama's ass anymore than she did this morning? Nancy Pelosi repeatedly kept thanking President Obama for his leadership. It felt like a broken record. Does she think if she tells him enough times he'll suddenly become one or we'll see him as one? Just because she repeatedly chants the leadership mantra doesn't MAKE HIM A LEADER! Enough with the stroking already! We already know you have each others back!
Yes, I agree our country is in dire need of structuring a healthcare program for those who CANNOT afford medical treatment of any kind. I posted a story early last year about Remote Area Medical (RAM), a non-profit organization who provides medical supplies to indigenous tribes around the world. RAM helps people in these remote areas who don't have ANY access to medical supplies or healthcare of any kind. Well RAM found themselves responding to a desperate need in the United States. RAM provided medical, vision and dental care to 10,000's of American citizens who flocked to their temporary locations to get medical assistance. Please click the link to read the RAM story I posted on 3/3/08, "U.S. Health Care Gets Boost From 3rd World Charity Called 'Remote Area Medical'.
There use to be non-profit medical clinic's in low income neighborhoods that LOST funding and as a result were forced to close! Leaving millions of people without access to FREE preventative healthcare. This in turn caused an influx of emergency care which is what President Obama is referring to and needs to be addressed. There are still a few remaining non-profit medical clinics. However, there are not enough medical clinics across the country to sustain the growing number of unemployed and low-income American citizens.
I can't emphasize enough how OUTRAGED I am at our Washington officials WASTING BILLIONS of dollars on NON-SENSE JUNK investments/expenditures. This money should be directed to funding in the form of grants to these non-profit clinics who provide healthcare to low-income or unemployed patients! I believe this is the way to go. The rest of the country who is employed and have insurance benefits provided by their employers are doing fine. This segment of the United States already has healthcare COVERAGE! Therefore Universal healthcare coverage is NOT necessary! Oh and PLEASE do us ALL a favor and FIRST cut as MUCH government fat that is possible BEFORE you consider taxing private companies and us to help pay for your healthcare reform act!
What Washington officials NEED to be focusing on is providing healthcare for children and the low-income or unemployed segment of our country!!! This is an IMMEDIATE NEED! Now this proposal I just gave you makes ABSOLUTE SENSE! It doesn't take a genius to know that if you wanted to make an immediate difference this would be your healthcare priority and will help to REDUCE healthcare cost significantly!
President Obama, you don't know how to manage and you certainly don't know how to lead. How could you, you've never run a business. Therefore, you are allowing yourself at our expense to be INFLUENCED by other dubious Washington officials. If you were smart, you would break the healthcare problem up into 3 different segments ie; immediate priority, short-term and then long-term. It would be in the BEST interest of our country if you tackled the immediate healthcare crisis which is providing healthcare to low-income and unemployed patients. Then focus your attention on the pharmaceutical and healthcare insurance companies. Giving you AMPLE time to draw up a comprehensive WELL THOUGHT OUT healthcare REFORM legislation that will be in the best interest of all parties involved! WIN-WIN
Let me put things into perspective for you. With the $7 BILLION you caused the TAXPAYERS to LOSE through the Chrysler LLC bailout and subsequent bankruptcy, you could have OPENED and FULLY FUNDED a non-profit medical clinic in every low-income community across the United States!!! The MAIN healthcare problem would have been solved IMMEDIATELY and pre-paid for at least a decade! Now that is taxpayer money WELL SPENT!
Can someone PLEASE LISTEN TO REASON?!
