Sr. Gen. Than Shwe is a bully who is essentially an IDIOT who uses fear to subdue his opposition! Bully's are the MOST INSECURE people. The funny thing is this situation is going to work our in our favor. Why you ask? Well simply because bullys (IDIOTS) make decisions based on self-centeredness, on self-interest, and are responding to their very own FEAR of losing control. They can't see the forest for the trees!
Think about it. Arresting Aung San Suu Kyi and putting her on trial has garnered Myanmar (Burma) INTERNATIONAL ATTENTION. They assumed the media was completely shut out and didn't expect her arrest would be leaked out of the country! Do you actually believe the Military Regime thought this through? No, I really doubt it. The Military Regime was ONLY thinking about getting rid of their opposition for good and saw the intruder as an opportunity to keep her locked up in prison. You see they were ONLY thinking about ensuring their victory in next year's supposed "democratic" elections. They didn't for one second consider the consequences of their actions! Not one bit. Their WEAKNESS has been REVEALED by the actions taken aginst Aung San Suu Kyi.
However, now that the eye's of the WORLD are set on Myanmar's Military Regime they decide to open the doors of the courtroom as a goodwill gesture. This was a VANITY move on their part. They want to portray Aung San Suu Kyi as receiving a fair judicial process. Anyone in their RIGHT MIND can see right through this FACADE! These IDIOTS actually believe their case against Aung San Suu Kyi is set in stone in their favor! But because IDIOTS never think things through, allowing 30 international diplomats to observe the trial is going to actually work against the Military Regime. They are going to appear like the IDIOTS that they are!
I would like to point out that although Aung San Suu Kyi may be in an awful prison, she is getting an opportunity to meet with international diplomats that she would not have been able to do otherwise! Furthermore, she was allowed to have a formal meeting in prison with ambassadors of Singapore and Russia and a senior diplomat from Thailand. That's a HUGE WOW!
"Thailand had been chosen as member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), while Singapore is the senior member of the diplomatic corps in Rangoon and Russia currently holds the rotating presidency of the UN Security Council." Agenzia Giornalistica Italia NewsI want to re-iterate that Myanmar's military junta SHOULD ULTIMATELY BE HELD RESPONSIBLE for ALLOWING the American intruder to cross the river and enter Aung San Suu Kyi's HEAVILY GUARDED HOUSE! Had they been doing their jobs GUARDING her home as instructed by the Military regime, Aung San Suu Kyi who was held under HOUSE ARREST would have NEVER been forced to encounter the American in distress. Everybody ought to be PUTTING the SPOTLIGHT squarely in the EYES of the Military REGIME! ALL democratic leaders should be holding the Military Regime ACCOUNTABLE!
Burma, officially the Union of Myanmar is governed by a military DICTATORSHIP! Burma has been Ruled by the military junta from 1962 to present. So PLEASE SPARE US with the 'road to democracy' BULL-SH*T! Nobody in their right mind is buying it. I don't understand how any of our international leaders can treat these monsters, bullys, idiots with ANY RESPECT! They don't DESERVE to be RESPECTED by any means! They should be condemned for their actions NOT coddled! Myanmar's military regime has PROVEN time and time again that they have ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT for HUMANITY! Their historical LAWLESS RECORD SPEAKS for itself. International leaders have sat idly by and have ALLOWED the people of Burma to LIVE IN HELL for far TOO LONG! Now this is YOUR DEFINING MOMENT to make a MEANINGFUL and LASTING DIFFERENCE!

RANGOON - Burma's opposition icon Aung San Suu Kyi was unexpectedly allowed to speak to diplomats at her internationally condemned trial on Wednesday and expressed hope for "better days" in the future.
She smiled and looked healthy as she thanked envoys for coming to Insein Prison in her first public comments since the ruling junta charged her last week with breaching her house arrest, an AFP reporter inside the court said.
"Thank you very much for coming and for your support," the 63-year-old, wearing pink Burmese traditional dress, said inside the courtroom at the end of the third day of the trial.
"I can't meet you one by one, but I hope to meet you all in better days," she added.
Aung San Suu Kyi then went for a meeting with the ambassadors of Singapore and Russia and a senior diplomat from Thailand at the so-called "guest house" inside the prison compound where she is being held.
The surprise move by the military regime to allow some diplomats and media access to the trial followed intense international pressure and a scathing condemnation by Burma's normally placid Southeast Asian neighbours.
Authorities held the first two days of hearings behind closed doors and had turned away European diplomats on Monday, but on Wednesday said representatives from all 30 foreign embassies would be allowed in.
The regime also allowed five journalists from foreign news organisations and the same number from local organisations to report on the hearing. Details had previously emerged only in state media or through Aung San Suu Kyi's lawyers.
