I have been relaxing this evening taking a break from all of the NON-SENSE! I was just listening to Fleetwood Mac and had to post this song for ALL of you to ENJOY! This is a great original video of Fleetwood Mac performing this song titled, "You Make Loving Fun" LIVE circa 1977! It is such a great easy going happy song!!! The lyrics were written by Christine Mcvie, the person singing this song.
I received several emails from my regular readers about a message I posted a few weeks ago. I mentioned that I didn't want someone I was in a relationship with to 'need' me. My readers kindly pointed out that they watched Barbra Streisand's special on CBS and she gave a quote stating that we all need each other. I too watched her this past Saturday and heard the same thing. I humbly agree. The human race needs each other to build a strong society and sustain it. The human race needs each other to grow and learn and evolve. The human race needs each other to protect ourselves from Tyrants who's sole intent is control and oppression. I know that no person is an island and I also know that no person can truly LIVE without giving and receiving LOVE. It would be like living without SUNSHINE!
However, when I expressed that I didn't want my life partner to need me, I was thinking about how a pet needs you or a child needs you. A pet or a child is dependent upon you, correct? Of course in retrospect, I see how I could have elaborated more. Co-dependency seems to be common these days and that to me is not a healthy relationship. I do however want love (respect), friendship (confidant) and laughter.
Okay, now I am really tripping out! I went to look up the definition for the word 'confidant' to share with those of you who have never heard it. I came across this GREAT website titled, 'My Personality'. The definition has just blown me away! Why? Because it describes me almost perfectly!!! I think I am a combo of the INFJ 'The Confidant' and the ENFP 'The Advocate'. I am very much a people person and have been an extrovert. I am a sagittarius for heavens sake. However, I am very private when it comes to my home life. Hhmmm... personalities are complex aren't they. Here is what I read:
INFJ - The "Confidant": "INFJs, making up an estimated 1% of all people, are the most rare type (males even more so). They are introspective, caring, sensitive, gentle and complex people that strive for peace and derive satisfaction from helping others. INFJs are highly intuitive, empathetic and dedicated listeners. These traits tend to act as a "tell me what's wrong" sign on their forehead, hence the nicknames Confidant, Counselor or Empath. INFJs are intensely private and deeply committed to their beliefs."
ENFP - The "Advocate": "ENFPs are introspective, values-oriented, inspiring, social and extremely expressive. They actively send their thoughts and ideas out into the world as a way to bring attention to what they feel to be important, which often has to do with ethics and current events. ENFPs are natural advocates, attracting people to themselves and their cause with excellent people skills, warmth, energy and positivity. ENFPs are described as creative, resourceful, assertive, spontaneous, life-loving, charismatic, passionate and experimental."
UPDATE: I just took their darn personality test and here are my results. LOL - I guess this test told me! Personalities are complex...
INTP - The "Engineer": INTPs are logical, individualistic, reserved, and very curious individuals. They focus on ideas, theories and the explanation of how things work. They are especially adept at discussions and debate. They have the ability to focus intently on a subject. They appreciate and respect intelligence in others.
You Make Loving Fun ~ Fleetwood Mac
Sweet wonderful you,
You make me happy with the things you do,
Oh, can it be so,
This feeling follows me wherever I go.
I never did believe in miracles,
But i've a feeling it's time to try.
I never did believe in the ways of magic,
But I'm beginning to wonder why.
Don't, don't break the spell,
It would be different and you know it will,
You, you make loving fun,
And I don't have to tell you you're the only one.
You make loving fun.
You make loving fun.
