Aggravated and Frustrated No More Pts. 1 & 2 of 2

This is an awesome message given by Joyce Meyers on how to really let go and put ALL of your TRUST in God. This is a two part message each segment last approximately 7 minutes. Part 1 is at the bottom with part 2 at top. I have typed a transcript of the first 5 minutes of this message for my international readers. Oh and by the way, the enemy does not want you to read this message... I have had to type this message 4 times because the system keeps booting me out! Thank God I do not give up that easily. It just made me more determined. Enjoy!

I believe the ability to display stability can be one of our greatest testimonies to a troubled world. You think about it. Just think about it. If there is a threat of a layoff from work and everybody is going wild and upset and worried and you're just peaceful saying "Well God is in control. He'll take care of us. Even if we lose this job, God will give us a better one." You know at first, you might aggravate them and at first, it might frustrate them and they might make fun of you and they might say this and that and something else. But you know what? PERSISTENCE always wins the battle!

And if you remain the same long enough in front of that unsaved husband you've got or unsaved wife or those kids that the devil is trying to tell you is going down the drain or that sister or brother whose been making fun of you because you are a Jesus freak. Come on now, if you just remain the same, stay calm, hold your peace, walk in love, let the world do what its going to do, but you act like Jesus all the time. You see, we get into this stuff. The devil uses this stuff to get us distracted. We're going to talk today about keeping our focus and how satan uses things to distract us.

Satan always wants to distract us. If we could just realize that probably about 80 percent of what he does is just to help us lose our focus. Come on, he doesn't want you focused because if you stay focused you just might fulfill God's will for your life!

You know, we pray wrong. We always pray to get away from everything. We say, "God make it go away. Just make it go away. I just can't take this anymore." In Colossians 3:12, we see the apostle Paul prayed for the people that they would endure whatever came with good temper. He says clothes yourselves therefore as God's own chosen ones, His own pick representatives, who are purified and holy and well beloved by God himself. By putting on behavior marked by tender hearted pitty, mercies, kindness, humbleness, gentle ways and patience, which is tireless and longsuffering and has the power to endure whatever comes with good temper. That's what Paul prayed for the church.

You notice he didn't pray for them to "Oh God please get them out of this. The poor pittiful little things. They just can't take this anymore." NO we are full of the spirit of the living God. If the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in us, it shall quicken our mortal bodies. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. He always causes me to triumph. We are more than conquerors. You know we love to shout about all of this stuff in church. But if it's not working at home, behind close doors in your midnight hour then what good is it doing?

We need to pray for more endurance. Not just keep praying for everything to just vanish and go away. Because if you've been around for very long you know that those prayers aren't getting answered anyways. So you might as well start praying for something that God can answer. "Yes God I'd rather NOT go through this. My first wish would be that you deliver me from this BUT if you've got a different plan then give me the strength to ENDURE it with good temper (good cheer)."

I think what we need to do is plan to stay peaceful in trials. We need to plan it ahead of time. I know everything is not going to go my way, every single day of my life. And when it doesn't I'M GOING TO STAY PEACEFUL. Colossians chapter 3 says, "Set your mind and keep it set." We need to get a new mindset. I'm not going to let every little thing that comes along upset me. I AM going to stay peaceful. Why? Because God is in control.

Colossians 1:11 says, "We pray that you might be invigorated and strengthened with all power according to the might of His glory. To exercise every kind of endurance, and patience, perseverance and forebearance with JOY." So now Paul is adding to it. He's not only saying that I pray that you endure whatever comes with good temper. But he's saying while it is going on I expect you to KEEP YOUR JOY! Why is that so important? Because the JOY OF THE LORD is our strength. You know the devil is really NOT after your stuff, he wants your joy. Do you know that, he doesn't care about your car, he doesn't need your car, but he most definitely wants your joy. He wants to steal your joy. Because when you lose your joy, you start SINKING.
