Samak Sundaravej , The Thai Prime Minister Has Been THOWN Out of Office!!! YEAH!

Yeah! Yet another self-serving corrupt leader in our world has been ousted, told to leave by the Thai's highest courts. Nine judges ruled today. Good for you for choosing to do the 'right thing' for the people of your nation and bravely kicking him and his party OUT! Good riddance. God said one by one! May your people be allowed to hold elections and nominate a new leader who genuinely cares about the general welfare of the entire nation of Thailand. God You ARE AMAZING!

Darkness cannot exist where there is LIGHT!

Weeks of protests by thousands who invaded his official compound could not bring him down. The declaration of emergency rule failed, too. But yesterday the Thai prime minister was thrown out of office - for hosting a TV cookery show.

The country was cast from political turmoil to high farce after the constitutional court ruled that the embattled prime minister, Samak Sundaravej, and his entire cabinet must quit over the programme.

The nine judges in one of Thailand's highest courts decided that Samak must go immediately for hosting four episodes after taking office, breaching rules that bar ministers having business links.

Samak's ministers must also resign within 30 days once a caretaker administration is appointed to run the country, which has been beset by political crisis since demonstrators took to the streets demanding the prime minister step aside.

Government opponents from the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD), which has occupied the grounds of Samak's offices for two weeks, failed to dislodge the PM, whom they accuse of corruption and being a puppet of his ousted predecessor, Thaksin Shinawatra.

The judges ruled he had breached the clause in the constitution, which was rewritten after the 2006 military coup. It was designed to eliminate the conflicts of interest that bedevilled the rule of the telecoms tycoon Thaksin.

"Samak was ousted by the court," said a PAD spokesman, Suriyasai Katasila. "But there is no guarantee he will not return in the next few days. So our protest will continue for the time being."

Let's hope that on November 5, Americans can cheer the same good news about the republicans being shown the door.

It's not about that anymore for me. I agree that I cannot wait for the Bush clan to leave the White House. However, I do not agree that McCain is a replica of Bush. In fact, if you research McCain's history re: voting record on legislation you too would agree.

He has voted no on many bills that the Republicans wrote.

Dear Princess,

McCain has voted ~90% of the time with Bush, rather than against him.

That number says it all.

And Palin was exposed for what she really is during yesterday's interview.

God save us all if these two take the helm.

Ah, Princess, once again you deleted my post because you don't agree with my political views.

It's not like I wrote anything nasty or vitriolic, unlike many of the posters who support your chosen party.

Can't you see that the Republican party is just a front for Big Business?

But it's your blog, you may delete posts if you want.

Hi Mammoth,

No I did not delete your comments. As you can see I have not had time to update the blog or even read the comments. Sorry about that, it was nothing personal.

O.k., too busy to blog. I can understand that!

My recently-changed life has had some schedule changes as well, as little Nadia needs lots of attention...

Cheers,

I am not able to post messages or visit the blog while at work. Therefore my free time has been limited this past week or so.

There is also way too much going on all over the world. I had to take a step back and re-group. Sometimes silence is golden.

How is everything going at home with the new little one running around? How are you and Yev holding up?

Lot's of love ~ Princess M.

Dear Princess,

Today makes it 1 month since the ladies arrived home from Russia.

We are all adjusting - thanks for asking! Having a little one around helps put the world (and its events) into a different perspective!

Nadia loves the cherry tomatoes and other produce (including plums) from our garden. All this talk about investments on the Web and in the news these days - seems like it was a good idea to build 2 greenhouses and plant fruit trees & berries during the past 7 years!

So, mt Princess, when are you going to make your escape from the polluted magalopolis and attain refuge on a piece of land, where you may seek your dream?

That's wonderful news Mammoth! I am so happy for you and Yev. There is no doubt little Nadia changes everything in your lives. Now both your focus and attention is placed entirely on her. The timing of her arrival couldn't have been any more perfect. :)

As for me, I too am grateful everyday for everything God has blessed me with. As for getting out of the city, it's not yet time. Not to say that I don't occasionally dream about getting away from all of the chaos to some remote part of the world lol ;)

I do however find refuge daily in God. He is my rock and my fortress. Plus I've made my home my sanctuary and your home is where your heart is...
