Sorry these pictures are a little graphic. However, it IS their reality and it must be exposed.
Darkeness can NOT exist where there is Light!
I am an active member of the SAVE Darfur organization. I receive responses to my letters from government officials. The following is taken from a recent letter I received from Congressman Howard L. Berman, 28th district California. To you Congressman, I say thank you for your efforts.
>>To put further pressure on the Sudanese government to stop the genocide, I have cosponsored H.R. 180, the Darfur Accountability and Divestment Act, which would require all companies operating in Sudan to disclose the nature of their business dealing in that country. This legislation, which overwhelmingly passed the House, would also prohibit the federal government from awarding contracts to entities operating in Darfur, other than those involved in humanitarian work, implementing the Darfur Peace Agreement, and assisting the African Union and UN missions in the region.
Sadly, even after the Armenian Genocide, the Holocaust, the "killing fields" of Cambodia, "ethnic cleansing" in the Balkans and mass murder in Rwanda, the events in Darfur are a tragic reminder that humanity has not progressed to the point at which genocide has become unthinkable. To honor the memory of all those who have perished in the past, we as a nation must renew our commitment to never again remain passive or indifferent in the face of such assaults on innocent human beings.<<
