My thirty-something birthday!

Hi everybody! Today is my birthday......

I just have to share the birthday card I received from my mom today. It brought tears to my eyes. I love my mom so much! She has been such an inspiration to me.

I hope this message inspires you all!

"If" for Daughters
A SPECIAL BIRTHDAY MESSAGE
FROM THE WRITINGS OF EMILY MATTHEWS

If you can value truth
above approval
and friendship over beauty,
wealth, or fame,
If you can share your gifts
and talents wisely,
leaving someone better off
than when you came...
If you find happiness
in simple pleasures
and see the rainbow, not the falling rain,
If you have faith to keep right on believing
in miracles that no one can explain,
If you look until you see the good in others
and keep your spirit honest, true, and free,
Then you'll be, not just happy and successful,
but the woman only you
were meant to be.
If you could see
all the flowers in the world,
If you could hear
all the laughter in the universe,
If you could make all the dreams
that ever were wished come true,
then you would know
a little part of the joy
of having and loving
a daughter like you.

Wishing You
a Beautiful Birthday
Loving you always, your Mom

College Freshman Attacks Media Elites

BRILLIANT!!! This college freshman speaks for many of us! You have to watch this video. The freshman asked a DIRECT question and the media executives talk in circles and never answer his question! Sound familiar??? Government. Corporate Executives, Media, etc.

This year has me feeling like I'm in a twilight zone episode. No, really. Like this video shows, we the people of the United States of America, are not getting straight answers from anybody. We are seeing and feeling one thing. While "they" keep giving us a completely different perspective? Is "spin" or "rhetoric" becoming a way of life now? Unreal!

Bush "In Bed" with Darfur Genocide Perpetrators

This is a 3 minutes clip taken from a 14 minute CBS 60 Minutes video titled "Searching for Jacob". Bush is shown here addressing the UN about Darfur’s atrocities. Sudan’s President and UN representative are openly laughing at him. Why? Because in the 1990’s Sudan’s President Al-Bashir hosted Osama Bin Laden for 5 years. So in exchange for information Sudan has on Al Qaeda, the Bush Administration has agreed to turn the other cheek.

World Remains Idle In Darfur
New Republic: Violence Continues As U.S. And U.N. Do Nothing

“speaking at a panel in Washington, D.C., John Prendergast of the International Crisis Group urged Western governments at least to weigh the possibility of military action against Sudan — but then conceded, "It's a laughable concept as we sit here today." True enough. At this point, we would be happy to see the West take any action that has even the remotest chance of stopping the genocide. Some efforts, such as a no-fly zone over Darfur or a naval blockade of Port Sudan, could, at least in theory, be undertaken unilaterally or by a small group of countries. Other proposals, such as travel bans that target government leaders or sanctions against Sudanese oil, would require broad consent from the international community to be effective.

Unfortunately, none of these measures seem likely to happen any time soon. For one thing, when it comes to Darfur, we have shown time and again that we simply lack the will for substantial steps of any kind. For another, China — a major consumer of Sudanese oil and a longtime supplier of equipment to Khartoum's military — would almost certainly foil efforts to punish Sudan economically.

And so the West either isn't going to act or isn't going to act strongly enough, and the plight of Darfuris will become more dire by the day. Indeed, as recent reports of attacks on aid workers piled up, one humanitarian group, Mรฉdecins du Monde, decided to pull out of Darfur. If others follow, millions of displaced persons could soon be without water, food, or medicine."

One Love - U2 & Mary J. Blige... SAVE Darfur

Sorry these pictures are a little graphic. However, it IS their reality and it must be exposed.

Darkeness can NOT exist where there is Light!

I am an active member of the SAVE Darfur organization. I receive responses to my letters from government officials. The following is taken from a recent letter I received from Congressman Howard L. Berman, 28th district California. To you Congressman, I say thank you for your efforts.

>>To put further pressure on the Sudanese government to stop the genocide, I have cosponsored H.R. 180, the Darfur Accountability and Divestment Act, which would require all companies operating in Sudan to disclose the nature of their business dealing in that country. This legislation, which overwhelmingly passed the House, would also prohibit the federal government from awarding contracts to entities operating in Darfur, other than those involved in humanitarian work, implementing the Darfur Peace Agreement, and assisting the African Union and UN missions in the region.

Sadly, even after the Armenian Genocide, the Holocaust, the "killing fields" of Cambodia, "ethnic cleansing" in the Balkans and mass murder in Rwanda, the events in Darfur are a tragic reminder that humanity has not progressed to the point at which genocide has become unthinkable. To honor the memory of all those who have perished in the past, we as a nation must renew our commitment to never again remain passive or indifferent in the face of such assaults on innocent human beings.<<

The Human Emotions p. 2 of 6

Another 10 minutes of the movie "What the Bleep Do We Know".

As long as we each have the basic principles, values and integrity. Then who’s to say what color our hair should be, what style of clothes we should wear, if we are supposed to be skinny or fat, short or tall, gay or straight, etc.

What is normal? I believe we are each unique in our own perfection of creation itself. Think about it. We each add to the tapestry of life with our own personalities, looks, sense of humor and intelligence. That’s what makes the human race so beautiful!

We are ALL different as creation intended us to be!

The Human Emotions p. 1 of 6

Here is a 10 minute clip of the movie "What the Bleep Do We Know". It will give you some pretty interesting insight into the human emotion and how our life experiences can affect us both negatively and positively. We have to choose to want to face our deep feelings, forgive ourselves and others for past choices or circumstances beyond our control. This will enable us to live in the moment and not continue carrying emotional baggage from the past.

No one and nothing can hurt you without your permission!

The Human Potential

Free your mind! Expand your level of awareness. We are finite beings living in an infinite Universe. Dare to step outside of the box of conventionality. You can only grow as a person if you choose to explore outside of your comfort zone and overcome your fears one at a time.

Fear, hate, and discrimination are forms of oppression and bondage. These emotions are what limit our evolution as human beings. They are forms of very low frequency. Meaning negative energy.

Our behavior is domesticated and our thinking is conditioned from birth. The authority figures I speak of and who influence us throughout our lifetimes are our parents, family, friends, teachers, community and government. All with the intent to maintain a standard. But who set the standard and which one is correct? Do we dare question the status quo?

You have to wonder why HISTORY keeps repeating itself ?!?! People in positions of power will always use our weaknesses and our fears to manipulate, control and destroy the fabric of our being! We keep looking to authority figures for answers, still unaware that the answers we seek, the TRUTH, lay dormant within ourselves.

"I Doubt, therefore I Think, therefore I AM"

Quote from the great philosopher Rene' Descartes
