USA: FLASHBACK James Rosen Plus Two Other Fox News Reporters And Associated Press Targeted By Obama Admin Dept Of Justice (DOJ). AFTER DOJ Got Caught, They Dropped ALL Charges!

James Rosen reportedly was not the only Fox News Channel correspondent that was spied on by the Obama Justice Department according to report from Megyn Kelly and Shannon Bream (see embed below) on “America Live” today. Reporter William LaJeunesse and producer Mike Levine may have also been separately targeted in connection with leaks in the Fast and Furious gunrunning scandal.
The US Department of Justice secretly went after Rosen for gaining access to confidential information from a State Department official about North Korea. Google reportedly coughed up Rosen’s Gmail messages to the government. “Investigators looking into disclosures of sensitive information about North Korea got Rosen’s telephone records and a warrant for his personal emails but also used his State Department security badge to track his movements in and out of that building.” Rosen was named as a co-conspirator in the application for a 2010 search warrant that just surfaced.
Rosen was never notified of the search warrant; nor was Fox News. There is a limited exception to the notice requirement under the law if the government can provided a connection to national security. “Rosen was not charged with any crime, but it is unprecedented for the government, in an official court document, to accuse a reporter of breaking the law for conducting the routine business of reporting on government secrets.”
Fast and Furious was a botched Obama administration operation that allowed firearms to fall into the hands of drug cartels and resulted in the murder of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry and many others. According to the Megyn Kelly/Shannon Bream report, quotes from LaJeunesse and Levine’s emails appear in an Inspector General’s narrative about the scandal. It has not been determined how those messages showed up in the report.
The Justice Department is also under fire for secretly snooping on phone records of Associated Press reporters. “The case of Stephen Jin-Woo Kim, the government adviser, and James Rosen, the chief Washington correspondent for Fox News, bears striking similarities to a sweeping leaks investigation disclosed last week in which federal investigators obtained records over two months of more than 20 telephone lines assigned to the Associated Press.”
Fox News executive Michael Clemente has this to say about James Rosen revelation: “We are outraged to learn today that James Rosen was named a criminal co-conspirator for simply doing his job as a reporter. In fact, it is downright chilling. We will unequivocally defend his right to operate as a member of what up until now has always been a free press.”
Unlike what happened in either the Rosen or AP cases, which were both handled in secret, Megyn Kelly pointed out that in general the procedure would be for the government and the news organization to appear in court to argue for or against access to the information in question pursuant to a subpoena. A judge would then decide how much, or how little, information the organization would have to release to authorities.
As it stands, the Fox and AP developments implicate potential First Amendment freedom of speech/freedom of the press violations along with a lack of due process. Details are still unfolding.

Fox News anchor Bret Baier says that in addition to seizing the phone records of Fox reporter James Rosen, the Department of Justice seized the records of his parents as well in another twist to the still-unraveling saga.
“We said the different numbers; we have the documents now, the seized … records relate to James’ parents’ home in Staten Island,” he said on “Special Report with Bret Baier.”
On Monday, news reports said the Justice Department seized phone records and emails sent to a private account of Fox News’ chief Washington correspondent, Mr. Rosen, in an investigation into a 2009 story about U.N. sanctions and North Korea’s nuclear program.
In court filings, the department even said Mr. Rosen may have aided and abetted in a crime by trying to pry the information, which was classified, from his source.
The government is prosecuting a State Department adviser Stephen Kim, a North Korea analyst, for revealing secrets to the news organization. He is awaiting trial. No charges have been filed against Mr. Rosen.
Ryan Lizza of the New Yorker reported Tuesday that Ronald C. Machen Jr., the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, who is prosecuting the case, seized records “associated with two phone numbers at the White House, at least five numbers associated with Fox News, and one that has the same area code and exchange as Rosen’s personal-cell-phone number (the last four numbers are redacted).”
The Justice Department has come under fire for the recent disclosure that it subpoenaed the phone records from 20 Associated Press phone lines, used by up to 100 reporters. The Justice Department sought the AP’s phone records in an investigation into who leaked information that embarrassed the administration last year, exposing that it had been working to thwart a terrorist attack at a time when officials said they had no specific knowledge of any plots.
CBS News reporter Sheryl Attkisson, who has writing frequently on the botched “Fast and Furious” gunrunning scheme, told a Philadelphia radio station Tuesday that her personal and work computers have been “compromised,” and that there “could be some relationship” between that and what happened with Mr. Rosen and the AP.
“To our knowledge, the Justice Department has never ‘compromised’ Ms. Atkisson’s computers, or otherwise sought any information from or concerning any telephone, computer or other media device she may own or use,” Dean Boyd, a Justice Department spokesman told Politico Tuesday night.
The Justice Department released a statement Monday arguing that “leaks of classified information to the press can pose a serious risk of harm to our national security and it is important that we pursue these matters using appropriate law enforcement tools.”
White House press secretary Jay Carney, the former bureau’s chief for Time magazine, refused to provide any comment on the matter, saying it was an “ongoing criminal probe.”
But during Tuesday’s press briefing, he said President Obama does not believe that journalists reporting leaked classified information are committing crimes.
“If you’re asking me whether the president believes that journalists should be prosecuted for doing their jobs, the answer is no,” Mr. Carney said. [what Obama and his admin say and do are two different things. They are compulsive liars. (emphasis mine)]
Reporters on Monday had pressed Mr. Carney to say whether he agreed with the tract of labeling Mr. Rosen as a potential criminal co-conspirator in the case.
After the contentious exchange, Mr. Carney discussed the matter with the president.
“I can tell you in our conversation yesterday he reiterated just how important he believes it is to reporters that all of you and your colleagues are able to do your jobs in a free and open way and, as he has said, he believes there is an important balance to be found here and he thinks the questions about how that balance is being struck are entirely legitimate, and he welcomes the public discussion,” Mr. Carney said.
When asked whether, as a reporter, he ever had to decide whether to publish classified information, he said he hadn’t: “Not personally.”
“It’s not about me … as a reporter I think I am more intimately aware of these issues than some folks,” he said. “In terms of my past experience, it’s not particularly relevant.”

Justice Department: Even though we seized his emails, we’re not going to prosecute Fox News reporter
written by Charlie Spiering
May 31, 2013
The Justice Department in recent days has come under fire for defining Fox News reporter James Rosen as a possible criminal “co-conspirator” who broke the law for publishing information leaked by one of his sources.
After citing his alleged criminal behavior in an affidavit, the Justice Department proceeded to seize e-mails from Rosen’s personal Gmail account and his work and cell phone records. The Justice Department also monitored Rosen’s activity at the State Department.
After meeting with journalists Thursday night, the Justice Department issued a statement indicating that in spite of the the affidavit, they did not expect to prosecute James Rosen for criminal behavior.
“At no time during the leak case involving Stephen Kim, before or after the FBI sought the search warrant, have prosecutors sought approval to bring criminal charges against the reporter,” the statement read.
According to journalists who attended the off-the-record meeting with Attorney General Eric Holder Thursday night, the department discussed revising the language so that reporters wouldn’t need to be defined as co-conspirators to execute search warrants.
“And nearly three years after completing our thorough investigation of the Kim matter, the Department does not anticipate bringing any additional charges,” the statement continued. “During the Attorney General’s tenure, no reporter has ever been prosecuted.”
But the statement does not explain why Justice Department officials failed to contact either Fox News or the Associated Press while making its case for a broad seizure of phone records and personal emails.

The entire pretext by which the Obama Justice Department justified spying on James Rosen was flimsy enough. They trumped up the notion that they might charge him as a criminal co-conspirator to justify the warrant that allowed them to read his e-mails and access his phone records. This was always absurd, based on ridiculous notions about how Rosen approached his reporting work.
But it was worse than that. Not only did they want the warrant, they wanted it kept quiet because they figured they might want to just go ahead and monitor Rosen’s e-mails for an extended period of time. The New Yorker, of all media outlets, reports:

USA: FLASHBACK Federal Armed Agents' Pre-Dawn Raid On Washington Times Reporter's Home With A Bogus Warrant To Illegally Seize Sensitive Confidential Files That Obama Didn't Like. I Bet Many Of You Didn't Hear About This?!
FOX news

Audrey Hudson’s husband had just left for work on August 6 when suddenly, her dog began barking. The nationally-known journalist walked over to the curtains and peeked outside to discover her Chesapeake Bay home was surrounded by law enforcement officers wearing full body armor.
The phone rang. It was her husband.
“I’m in the driveway,” he said. “The police are here. Open the door.”
And so began Hudson’s nightmare – held captive by armed agents of the U.S. Coast Guard, Maryland State Police and the Department of Homeland Security as they staged a pre-dawn raid in search of unregistered firearms and a “potato gun.”
“I think they found a great way to get into my house and get a hold of my confidential notes and go through every other file in my office."- Audrey Hudson, journalist
But instead of taking the potato gun, agents seized unrelated government documents and notes from the former Washington Times journalist.
Agents took Hudson’s records during a search for guns and related items owned by her husband, a civilian Coast Guard employee. They also confiscated her legally registered firearms, according to court documents obtained by The Associated Press.
The armed agents held Hudson and her husband in the kitchen as they searched their home. At some point, one of the agents asked if she was the same person who had written a series of stories critical of the Federal Air Marshal program in the mid-2000s.
Hudson did indeed author those stories for The Washington Times.
“Those stories were embarrassing to the agency,” she told me.
It wasn’t until five weeks after the pre-dawn raid that Hudson realized agents had taken her private documents – documents that were not listed on the search warrant. At the time she was told that “miscellaneous documents” had been taken.
“I got a call from Homeland Security and they told me I could come pick up the documents,” she said. “The search warrant did not allow them to walk out with those documents. They clearly violated the search warrant.”
It appears the agents were on a fishing expedition. Hudson tells me her home is filled with boxes and boxes of files.
“But they only took five files – and all five had to do with the Federal Air Marshal stories,” she said.
The Coast Guard told The Associated Press its investigator was suspicious that the government documents in her possession were labeled “law enforcement sensitive.” However, they were returned after concluding Hudson had obtained them under the U.S. Freedom of Information Act.
But that doesn’t explain why the Coast Guard took her personal, handwritten notes. Nor does it explain why the Coast Guard accessed her personal Facebook page.
“I think they found a great way to get into my house and get a hold of my confidential notes and go through every other file in my office,” she said.
The Washington Times said Friday it is preparing legal action to fight what it called an unwarranted intrusion on the First Amendment.
“While we appreciate law enforcement’s right to investigate legitimate concerns, there is no reason for agents to use an unrelated gun case to seize the First Amendment protected materials of a reporter,” Times Editor John Solomon said.
The Coast Guard defended their actions. A spokesman said the warrant authorized police to search the family’s home for guns, ammunition, records of gun purchases, gun cleaning kits and other gun-related documents.
It should be noted that neither Hudson nor her husband have been arrested and no charges have been filed.
“We have absolutely no idea what this is all about,” Hudson told me.
I’ve got a pretty good idea. It’s about the federal government trying to intimidate an American journalist.
The Obama administration has a history of targeting journalists in their effort to root out leaks. The Associated Press noted that the raid on Hudson’s home came one month after Attorney General Eric Holder toughened the Justice Department’s rules for seizing reporters’ phone records, notes or emails using federal subpoenas or search warrants.
“This really can’t stand,” Hudson told me. “You cannot come into a journalist’s home under false pretenses with a bogus warrant and just waltz out with confidential files.”
So if you’re doing the constitutional math, I’d say the Obama administration has violated the Hudson family’s first, second and fourth amendment rights.
“Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that state police and federal officers would come into my house at 4:30 in the morning to take my files without a federal subpoena,” she said.
It’s really not all that surprising the Obama administration would use a potato gun to trample the constitutional rights of an American citizen.
It’s a perfect tool for shredding potatoes – and the U.S. Constitution.

Ungrateful Picky Hungry People.
lol the sad truth today. Which leads me to share an exchange I had at work last week with a young twenty-something Caucasian gal here in America with a visa from the UK. She was sharing her story of when she was broke here in America, so broke she had to go dumpster diving for food. I asked, "why didn't you go to a local food bank?". She said she did, but all they had was Top Ramen noodles and other yucky stuff. I could not believe her answer. Beggars can't be choosers. Food is food for heavens sake! But she would rather eat garbage! Sheesh!
I looked up Los Angeles Food Bank, and this is what I found out:
The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank has a link for Agencies Serving Daily Meals.
The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank also has a Daily Product List available on their website.
When I was finishing my senior year in college going full-time, money was tight. I gladly survived on basic staples like a bowl of rice with butter and soy mixed in, or pinto beans and rice, or Top Ramen noodles, milk, eggs, cereal, bread, tortillas and I was creative with potato's, even made my own potato chips. I would occasionally treat myself to lunch at the food court on the CSULA campus with classmates. I paid for it myself, I was self-sufficient and never felt poor in any way. I was totally grateful that I had food to eat and a roof over my head and clothes on my back. I was also so busy with my studies, food and sleep were the last things on my mind. But that's besides the point. It's important to know how to stretch a penny.
But if you find yourself genuinely needing help, please visit your local Food Bank or if you don't know where one is, go to a public library where you can use the internet for free and visit your local Food Bank website. Go to Feeding America, a non-profit charitable organization, to find out where a local Food Bank is in your city across America. Please do not take advantage of your local Food Bank if you have the means to feed yourself. Because if you do take advantage of your local Food Bank, you are robbing people in America who are genuinely hungry and don't have money to feed themselves.

I am seriously tired of hyper-sensitive people in America being "offended". Heck, talk about living in a really oppressive society. No one will be able to say anything, because frankly almost everybody gets offended about almost everything. This is precisely why America's Founding Fathers made sure to enshrine Freedom of Expression in our U.S. Constitution Bill of Rights, 1st Amendment.

Another ridiculous politically-correct brouhaha has broken out at Dartmouth College, America’s most hopelessly and disturbingly fragile Ivy League school.
This time, the fracas is over a fundraiser for cardiac care that the Phi Delta Alpha fraternity and the Alpha Phi sorority had planned to jointly sponsor, reports Campus Reform.
Problems arose because a single student, junior Daniela Hernandez, was offended by the party’s theme of “Phiesta.”
As a result, the soiree, which was scheduled for Saturday, has been canceled by the presidents of the respective Greek organizations.
Had the party happened, it would have included a live band as well as virgin piña coladas and strawberry daiquiris. There would also have been burritos, chips and salsa, and guacamole.
The cash raised at the event would have gone to benefit cardiac treatments.
However, Hernandez’s deep offense about racial insensitivity was enough to call it off.
The self-proclaimed “Mexican-born, United-States-raised, first-generation woman of color” declared in an angry email that “there are various problematic structures and ideologies regarding a Cinco de Mayo-inspired event,” according to Campus Reform.
USA: 'Man Up', 'Don't Be A Pussy' Labeled Offensive Language At Duke University. This Is Ridiculous! Enough With Being 'OFFENED' BS. We Are Raising A Generation Of Pansies!!! ugh God Help Us! :/
The College Fix

Monday April 28, 2014
A new word-discouragement campaign at Duke University has labeled phrases such as “Man Up,” “That’s So Gay,” and “Don’t Be a Pussy” offensive language that “delegitimizes” homosexuality and oppresses and insults people.
But as the campaign has gained national popularity, its detractors have bristled at the effort, calling it a politically correct war on words that will stifle free speech and suggesting its true aim is to redefine terms to control public opinion and – ultimately – public policy.
In fact, the “You Don’t Say” campaign creators have admitted as much.
“Language is a reflection of how we think about others and view the world,” Jay Sullivan, a student leader of the campaign, tells Duke Today. “My goal is to…. help facilitate discussion about how language affects many social issues, from race to gender and sexuality.”
The campaign consists of a series of black-and-white memes with students posing behind large pledges to avoid so-called offensive language.
“I don’t say ‘No Homo’ because it delegitimizes love and sexual identities,” says one.
“I don’t say ‘Man Up’ because the strongest people I know have cried in front of me, regardless of their age, gender or sex,” says another.
“I don’t say ‘Tranny’ because it’s insulting to transgender and genderqueer communities,” adds a third meme.
Other banned words include “bitch,” because it “insists feminism is inherently negative,” “‘fag,’ because it only serves to hurt and oppress homosexual men,” and “pussy,” as it “implies that having a certain feature is indicative of being a coward.”
The recently launched campaign has spread far and wide on social media and gained national attention in a variety of news reports. The effort is similar to the recent “Ban Bossy” campaign, and akin to other university student efforts that have banned the term “illegal immigrant” on campuses.
The campaign is a collaborative effort between a newly formed group at Duke University called Think Before You Talk and Blue Devils United, a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer student advocacy group.
The campaign has gained plenty of supporters, as well as detractors, whose reactions range from sarcastic to disgusted.
“I can’t say anything about an individual person, because it might be construed as offensive to a larger group… even if I had no intention of offending a larger group,” asks one Facebook post.
Others balk at the idea of being told how to choose their daily language.
“As a thinking individual, I don’t and didn’t need some children from Duke University admonishing me for ‘thinking any gender is inferior,’” says another. “Do you see what they did there? ‘Any gender.’ Not ‘either gender.’ It’s all about redefining terms, redefining life.”
Some commenters on Facebook hardly took the campaign seriously at all: “There is nothing wrong with being a HOMO. We’re all homos… homosapiens.”
In an interview with The College Fix, Dr. Mark Hendrickson, economics professor at Grove City College, expressed concern for the direction and potential implications of the campaign, such as the idea of a possible enforcement mechanism.
He also questioned the discouragement of statements such as “man up.”
“I’m a little concerned about censoring a phrase like ‘man up’… a world without manliness, like a world without femininity… would be a pretty dismal place,” Hendrickson said.
Hendrickson acknowledged the need for consideration of others when choosing one’s language, but he observed that proponents of the campaign appear to have a narrow agenda.
He noted, especially with the impending graduation season, that similar tolerance is often not afforded to conservative campus speakers.
“With anybody advocating the banning of a certain word or phrase… would they be willing to publicly say, ‘I promise in return to never hinder a speech by a political figure with whose political philosophy I disagree?” Hendrickson said.
USA: Major Obama Donor, Gurbaksh Chahal, The CEO Of San Francisco Tech Startup RadiumOne, AVOIDS Jail Time After Brutally Beating Girlfriend All Caught On CCTV Footage.

A high-dollar Obama donor who was caught on video brutally beating his girlfriend got off with 25 hours of community service last week after he pled guilty to domestic battery charges.
CCTV footage caught Gurbaksh Chahal, the CEO of San Francisco tech startup RadiumOne, kicking his girlfriend 117 times, including blows to the head, and trying to smother her with a pillow during a vicious 30-minute assault.
He faced 45 felony charges until the footage was deemed inadmissible. As a result, Chahal has managed to avoid jail time, the Daily Mail reported on Thursday.
According to police reports, Chahal also threated to kill his girlfriend several times.
Silicon Valley executives have come under scrutiny for their political activities in recent weeks. The CEO of web browser company Mozilla was forced to step down after it was revealed that he donated $1,000 to an anti-gay marriage proposition in 2008.
Chahal’s political contributions indicate more liberal sensibilities. He has donated more than $100,000 since 2011, all of which went the Democratic Party and Democratic candidates.
Those contributions include $81,600 to the Democratic National Committee and $5,000 to President Barack Obama’s reelection campaign.
RadiumOne’s board of directors includes Steve Westly, a major Obama donor who came under scrutiny after four companies that he invested in received stimulus subsidies while Westly sat on an advisory board directing the disbursement of stimulus money.
Chahal has visited the White House twice, on Nov. 30, 2011 to see the president, and on Dec. 14, 2012, to see the president and the first lady, according to White House visitor logs.
Chahal also greeted Obama at a dinner in San Francisco in 2012.
It was not immediately clear whether activists who boycotted Mozilla for its former CEO’s opposition to gay marriage would also target RadiumOne and other Chahal startups.

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — The chief executive of a San Francisco-based Internet advertising firm will face no prison time after beating his girlfriend last August – in an attack captured on video – following a plea deal.
RadiumOne founder and CEO Gurbaksh Chahal faced 47 felony counts for repeatedly hitting and kicking Juliet Kakish on Aug. 5, 2013 at his home at the Infinity Towers in Rincon Hill in San Francisco.
Police testified that Chahal had video cameras placed throughout his penthouse apartment, including two in his bedroom where the attack happened.
According to the complaint against Chahal, the felony counts included hitting Kakish repeatedly in the head, covering her mouth during the assault, and threatening to kill her.
A video that police said showed Chahal hitting Kakish 117 times in a half-hour was ruled inadmissible after Chahal’s lawyers successfully argued it had been seized unlawfully by police.
Last week, Chahal pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor battery charges and was put on probation for three years. He will also perform community service and enroll in a domestic violence program.
Chahal’s spokesman, public relations consultant Sam Singer, told the San Francisco Business Times:
“This now allows Gurbaksh and RadiumOne to move forward with their IPO, which is further down the line. It was an important conclusion to what was a difficult situation, and all sides are to be commended in the reasonable conclusion of this case.”
Chahal told The San Francisco Chronicle his firm is looking to complete its initial public offering within the next 12 months. RadiumOne is Chahal’s third startup; his first two ventures sold for $40 million and $300 million, respectively.
His Twitter feed made no mention of his legal troubles during the days he was being investigated or in court. His most recent on April 22 appears to be more introspective than the others.

USA: Oregon County Abruptly Halts Incineration of Aborted Babies. Because They Were EXPOSED!
The New American
written by Dave Bohon
Monday April 28, 2014
Government officials in Marion County, Oregon, have put an abrupt halt to the burning of aborted babies in a local waste incineration facility, following revelations that the bodies of the pre-born babies were part of shipments of human “tissue” coming from Canada, and that the bodies were being incinerated as fuel to produce electricity for Oregon residents.
The British Columbia Health Ministry admitted that it had shipped the remains of babies aborted in that province to Oregon, with most of the bodies likely ending up in Marion County's Covanta Marion waste-to-energy incineration facility near Salem, Oregon, the only facility in the state that uses waste to create electrical power for Oregon residents.
LifeSiteNews.com reported that the facility, located in the community of Brooks, “burns waste in two massive boilers at a temperature of about 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit. The heat transfers into water tubes, which creates steam to drive turbines. The turbines generate electricity.”
The BC Health Ministry was forced to admit its involvement after a report in the BC Catholic, a Canadian Catholic newspaper, revealed that the British Columbia government had been sending shipments of waste tissue — including the bodies of aborted babies — to Oregon, and the story gained traction in the United States among pro-life groups.
The Associated Press reported that the Marion County Commission quickly met on the issue and put a stop to the shipments and the burning of medical waste until procedures are in place to sort out what will actually be allowed at the facility. While officials emphasized that no laws were broken in incinerating the bodies of aborted babies, there were “ethical” concerns — which county officials made a point of expressing publicly.
“We are outraged and disgusted that this material could be included in medical waste received at the facility,” announced Marion County Commissioner Janet Carlson in a statement April 23. “We did not know this practice was occurring until today. We are taking immediate action and initiating discussions with Covanta Marion to make certain that this type of medical waste is not accepted in the future.” Carlson added that “we're going to get the bottom” of the issue. “I want to know who knew, when they knew, how long they had known this was going on.”
While expressing her outrage and disgust at the incineration of aborted babies in her county, Carlson expressed no similar outrage for the actual killing of the babies in the first place.
As for prior knowledge, according to Portland's KOIN television news, a former worker at the incineration facility said that the practice had been going on for years, and that government officials had to have known about it. “Bud Waterman, a former temp worker at Covanta Marion, Inc., said two to three times a week, 53-foot tractor trailers carrying biohazards dropped off loads at the facility in Brooks,” reported KOIN. Waterman told KOIN that “it would make you sick, especially if you had to clean it up or have to pull a box off the trailer.”
The report added that “Waterman said he believes fetuses have been incinerated at the Marion County facility for years and used for energy, a practice that the Canadian government will not do. 'They knew it, they had to. I don’t see how they could not know it,' said Waterman.”
The Associated Press reported that the “fetal material” from British Columbia had come through a contract with an Illinois waste management firm called Stericycle, which deals with biomedical waste including tissue from aborted babies, cancerous tissue, and amputated limbs.
“Jeff Bickford, environmental services division manager in Marion County, said the facility there has been taking material from British Columbia for five to seven years,” reported AP. “He said clinical waste providers such as Stericycle bring in medical waste ranging from syringes and body parts to laboratory cultures and bodily fluids after hospitals and clinics place it into red bags and sealed containers.”
County Commissioner Janet Carlson insisted that she was “horrified” by the revelation that babies were among the shipments. “There are not enough strong words to describe my feelings,” she said, promising that “this will not continue.”
The troubling news comes on the heels of similar revelations several weeks ago, published in The New American, that government-run hospitals in the U.K. had burned up thousands of aborted and miscarried babies in incinerators used to heat the medical facilities. According to The Telegraph newspaper (U.K.), the remains of at least 15,500 aborted and miscarried infants were incinerated “as clinical waste, with some even used to heat hospitals.” Ten hospitals connected with the British government's National Health Service (NHS) “admitted burning fetal remains alongside other rubbish, while two others used the bodies in ‘waste-to-energy’ plants which generate power for heat,” reported The Telegraph.
Following the revelation, Britain's Department of Health quickly banned the practice, with U.K. Health Minister Dr. Dan Poulter announcing that it was “totally unacceptable.” Predictably, Poulter made no comment on the killing of the babies through abortion, confining his comments to the “unacceptable” practice of incinerating their bodies as fuel to heat the country's medical facilities.
USA: Parent Calls Cops On Teen For Giving Books Away At A Book Giveaway In Idaho. Wow! :/
The proper American way that parent should have handled this situation would have been to say thank you but we're not interested and then walk away. Or if the book was given to their child, and the parent didn't like the content, simply return the book and say what I wrote above. Sheesh!

So, this happened: Someone called the cops on a teenager for giving away free books.
At—wait for it—a book giveaway event.
Just last week, we wrote about the difficulties Sherman Alexie's acclaimed Young Adult novel, The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, had faced during its four-year run as one of the most banned books in the U.S.
Two weeks ago, parents in the Idaho school district of Meridian successfully campaigned to remove Alexie's novel from its 10th grade reading curriculum and additional reading lists. A National Book Award winner, The Absolutely True Diary is a searing coming-of-age story about a Native American teenager who decides to attend an all-white high school outside of his reservation. It's a powerful narrative about modern race relations in the U.S. But the Meridian school board sided with parents who objected to its alleged sexual and anti-Christian content, along with, as noted by the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, other stuff:
[A]n adult named Lonnie Stiles complained that the Alexie novel contains language “we do not speak in our home.”
Apparently the adults who objected to the book weren't thinking about the teens living on Idaho's five Native American reservations. But the district's local teens fought back, organizing a petition to have the book reinstated. In response, Sara Baker and Jennifer Lott of Washington crowdfunded a $3,400 campaign to buy copies of the book for each of the 350 students who signed the petition.
That meant there were a lot of books to give away. Junior Mountain High School student Brady Kissel went to Kleiner Park in Meridian to distribute the books Wednesday evening. Kissel had arranged the giveaway with Baker, Lott, and local Boise bookseller Rediscovered Books as part of a national book giveaway event called World Book Night.
The goal of World Book Night is to put a free, ultra-readable book into the hands of a reluctant reader. Kissel and her fellow teens had no problem finding takers for Alexie's controversial book. They gave away all but 20 copies.
And then, of course, an irate parent ruined it by literally calling the cops to the scene. Boise news station KBOI reported that even the cops were baffled about why they'd been asked to police a book giveaway.
KBOI reported that police had been summoned by "someone concerned about teenagers picking up a copy of the book without having a parent's permission."
Gee, it's almost like banning books from schools makes teens more likely to independently find and read those books. The cops apparently saw nothing wrong with Kissel's activities, nor with the book's brief mentions of masturbation, one of the oft-cited reasons for its being so frequently challenged.
Alexie's publisher, Hachette Book Group, has responded to the students' campaign by sending Rediscovered Books an additional 350 copies. So if you're in Meridian, go pick up a free copy.
Meanwhile, we'll just leave you with one of our favorite (and fitting) quotes from The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian:
"You should approach each book—you should approach life—with the real possibility that you might get a metaphorical boner at any point.""A metaphorical boner?" I shouted. "What the heck is a metaphorical boner?"Gordy laughed."When I say boner, I really mean joy," he said. "Boner is funnier. And more joyful."In Wellpinit, I was a freak because I loved books. In Reardan, I was a joyous freak.
Clarification: We originally reported that Rediscovered Books of Boise organized the giveaway. Sara Baker and Jennifer Lott of Washington organized the crowdfunding project and partnered with Rediscovered Books to distribute the books.
USA: High School Students Say Pledge In Arabic: ‘One Nation Under Allah’. OMG! WTH?!?! :o
GOP Daily Dose
written by Rick Wells
Monday April 28, 2014
The principal at Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins, Colorado, is facing a hailstorm of criticism from some very angry parents and residents.
The school recites the Pledge of Allegiance weekly, on Mondays. Last Monday, a member of their “Cultural Arms Club” led the student body in an Arabic version of the pledge, replacing the words “under God” with “under Allah.”
Principal Tom Lopez denies any attempt to push an Islamic agenda, saying, “These students love this country. They were not being un-American in trying to do this. They believed they were accentuating the meaning of the words as spoken regularly in English.”
Principal Lopez doesn’t make any sense. Speaking unintelligible words in Arabic in some way accentuates their meaning? That is an extremely weak argument in defense of an ill-advised decision.
He said the cultural clubs seeks to “destroy the barriers, embrace the cultures” that exist within the high school.
That would translate into “destroy the barriers to Islam and embrace it,” correct, Mr. Lopez?
The Poudre School District communications director, Danielle Clark, said they understand why parents are upset. She told Fox News, “We understand not everybody would agree with the students’ choice. We’ve heard there are some who are upset.”
Let’s put his into perspective for the feeble-minded Clark and Lopez. It is not the student’s choice. They do not control the public address system. It was a school choice.
Her simplistic defense included a reference to “one” supportive email and a reference to a similar mistake last year which drew controversy when the pledge was recited in Spanish. Somehow not learning from and expanding upon your previous mistakes is perceived as a viable defense for these educators.
An abdication of responsibility is also part of their defense. Clark attempted to pass the buck of responsibility to the students, saying, “This is a student-initiated and student-led club. There is no school sponsor or advisor. It doesn’t come under the umbrella of the district.”
Actually, the activity of reciting the pledge does come under the district. Choosing to put it into the hands of a group not regulated by their administrators does not provide absolution.
“We deferred to the students because it’s their deal,” she said.
One cultural club member, professing to not understand the controversy is Skyler Bowden. Bowden simplistically told The Coloradoan, “No matter what language it’s said in, pledging your allegiance to the United States is the same in every language.”
Given their youth, the high school students might understandably not recognize the problems with proclaiming America as “one nation under Allah.” The grownups should and they ought to be controlling the activity.
The Muslim Brotherhood front group CAIR chimed in saying, “Obviously in Arabic, you would use the word Allah, but Christian Arabs would use the word Allah.” Their spokesperson, Ibrahim Hooper, claimed use of the word Allah is “not necessarily specific to Islam and Muslims.” From an American point of view, it is, whether he is technically correct or not, to Americans, in America, it’s a specific Muslim and Islamic reference.
As if to reinforce the idiocy of reciting the pledge in another language, Clark said she did not hear the pledge and does not speak Arabic so she could not confirm exactly what words were used.
Lopez said he has been getting a variety of accusations leveled at him, including being called a traitor. He said, “They claim they are outraged, that this is blaspheming a real major tenet of our patriotism – which in their mind the Pledge of Allegiance is only in English.”
He said he’s also been accused of “pushing a Muslim Brotherhood agenda – to push Islam into the school.” He denies that was behind the decision.
CAIR representative Hooper told Fox News he was dumbfounded by complaints about the Arabic version of the pledge.
“How on earth is it un-American to recite the Pledge of Allegiance in another language,” Hooper asked. “It doesn’t make sense unless the people complaining are anti-Muslim or anti-middle eastern bigots.”
It just might be that Americans recognize the Islamic agenda, Mr. Hooper, and are tired of having it forced upon them. Maybe we know what you are up to and people are pushing back.
Principal Lopez said all of the criticism and complaints had him “worn down.”
Playing the tolerance card, Lopez labeled himself as the victim, stating, “I’ve been shocked with prejudicial statements that have been made. I’ve been shocked with the lack of seeking understanding. There’s definitely suspicion and fear expressed in these people’s minds. There’s some hate.”
One resident, Chris Wells put it in terms even educator Lopez could understand. Writing in The Daily Coloradoan, he said, “As a veteran and a friend of a man killed defending these children in their little games they like to play with our pledge, I’m offended. There are things that we don’t mess with – among them are the pledge and our anthem.”
CAMBODIA: Mob Of 600 People Stone 'Sorcerer' To Death Following Six-hour Assault After 'ACCUSING' Him Of Killing Seven Elderly Villagers With 'Witchcraft'

Tuesday April 29, 2014
A Cambodian man was beaten and stoned to death by a mob of about 600 people after they accused him of sorcery, according to reports.
Pov Sovann, 36, was accused by villagers of killing several elderly people over the past two years through sorcery, police have said.
He was killed during a six hour attack as a group, initially of about 200, in a village in the Bati district of Takeo Province, southern Cambodia, was joined by hundreds of others from nearby areas.
Officers have said they were unable to stop the mob as they attacked the man, The Cambodia Daily has reported.
Police believe the death of a 54-year-old woman sparked the attack.
Bati district penal police Khut Lo told the paper: 'My police could not do anything because there were many people who carried stones and clubs and were very violent.'
District police chief Ngann Sary said an ambulance was also forced to turn back by the mob.
He said villagers believed seven people, mostly believed to be elderly, had died without being diagnosed with any diseases, over the last two years.
He said villagers blamed Mr Sovann, who had practised traditional healing for a number of years.
It is not uncommon for people accused of being a sorcerer to be harassed and killed in rural areas of Cambodia.
In January, The Sydney Morning Herald reported a Cambodia man was decapitated by villagers after being accused of sorcery.
The 55-year-old victim was attacked by people armed with axes while villagers celebrated a rice harvest ceremony nearby, police said.
Som Chantha, district police chief in the southern province of Kampong Speu, said: 'He had some magic powers and some people accused him of practising black magic.'
USA: More than 100 Food Safety Summit Attendees Confirm Food Poisoning Symptoms After Event

Tuesday April 29, 2014
After it was suspected that the food at the Food Safety Summit earlier this month may have been tainted, more than 100 people have confirmed that they suffered from gastroenteritis after attending the event at the Baltimore Convention Center.
Attendees reported suffering symptoms including diarrhea and nausea, although Maryland state health officials are still unsure what caused the problem.
“None of us are very happy when we hear these things,” convention center executive director Peggy Daidakis told NBC News. “We’re not trying to hide anything. If there is something, we’ll take the corrective measures.”
About 400 of the summit’s 1,500 guests have not reported about their health, so the number of people who became ill after the event may be even higher.
“We are working on evaluating possible exposures and doing testing at the Maryland state public health laboratory to attempt to identify an agent,” officials said in a letter to attendees.
Convention guests included staff from the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as from companies like McDonald’s, Chiquita and Tyson.

SCIENCE: Binary Supermassive Black Hole System Discovered. VERY In-ter-est-ing! :)
Sci-News
written by Staff
Thursday April 24, 2014
Astronomers using ESA’s XMM-Newton X-ray observatory have discovered, for the first time, a pair of supermassive black holes in orbit around one another in an ordinary galaxy.
Most massive galaxies in the Universe are thought to harbor at least one supermassive black hole at their center.
Two supermassive black holes are the smoking gun that the galaxy has merged with another. Thus, finding binary supermassive black holes can tell astronomers about how galaxies evolved into their present-day shapes and sizes.
To date, only a few candidates for close binary supermassive black holes have been found. All are in active galaxies where they are constantly ripping gas clouds apart, in the prelude to crushing them out of existence. In the process of destruction, the gas is heated so much that it shines at many wavelengths, including X-rays. This gives the galaxy an unusually bright centre, and leads to it being called active.
On 10 June 2010, Dr Fukun Liu from Peking University in China with colleagues spotted a tidal disruption event in the galaxy SDSS J120136.02+300305.5 (J120136 for short). They were scanning the data for such events and scheduled follow-up observations just days later with XMM-Newton and NASA’s Swift satellite.
The galaxy was still spilling X-rays into space. It looked exactly like a tidal disruption event caused by a supermassive black hole but as they tracked the slowly fading emission day after day something strange happened. The X-rays fell below detectable levels between days 27 and 48 after the discovery. Then they re-appeared and continued to follow a more expected fading rate, as if nothing had happened.
“This is exactly what you would expect from a pair of supermassive black holes orbiting one another,” said Dr Liu, who is the lead author of the study published in the Astrophysical Journal (arXiv.org version).
Dr Liu found that two possible configurations were possible to reproduce the observations of J120136.
In the first, the primary black hole contained 10 million solar masses and was orbited by a black hole of about a million solar masses in an elliptical orbit.
In the second solution, the primary black hole was about a million solar masses and in a circular orbit.
In both cases, the separation between the black holes was relatively small – about 2 thousandths of a light year. This is about the width of our Solar System.
Being this close, the fate of this newly discovered black hole pair is sealed. They will radiate their orbital energy away, gradually spiraling together, until in about two million years time they will merge into a single black hole.
Now that astronomers have found this first candidate for a binary black hole in a quiescent galaxy, the search is inevitably on for more. This detection will also spur interest in a network of telescopes that search the whole sky for tidal disruption events.
“Once we have detected thousands of tidal disruption events, we can begin to extract reliable statistics about the rate at which galaxies merge,” said study co-author Dr Stefanie Komossa of the Max-Planck-Institut für Radioastronomie in Bonn, Germany.

Archaeologists led by Prof John O’Shea from the University of Michigan have discovered what they say is a 9,000-year-old caribou hunting drive lane about 37 m beneath the surface of Lake Huron.
The site was discovered on the Alpena-Amberley Ridge, about 56 km southeast of Alpena, Michigan, on what was once a dry land corridor connecting northeast Michigan to southern Ontario.
The main feature, called Drop 45 Drive Lane, is the most complex hunting structure found to date beneath the Great Lakes.
Constructed on level limestone bedrock, the stone lane is comprised of two parallel lines of stones leading toward a cul-de-sac formed by the natural cobble pavement. Three circular hunting blinds are built into the stone lines, with additional stone alignments that may have served as blinds and obstructions for corralling caribou.
“This site and its associated artifacts, along with environmental and simulation studies, suggest that Late Paleoindian/Early Archaic caribou hunters employed distinctly different seasonal approaches,” said Prof O’Shea, who is the lead author of a paper published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
“In autumn, small groups carried out the caribou hunts, and in spring, larger groups of hunters cooperated.”
The orientation of Drop 45 shows that it would only have been effective if the animals were moving in a northwesterly direction, which they would have done during the spring migration from modern day Ontario.
“It is noteworthy that V-shaped hunting blinds located upslope from Drop 45 are oriented to intercept animals moving to the southeast in the autumn. This concentration of differing types of hunting structures associated with alternative seasons of migration is consistent with caribou herd movement simulation data indicating that the area was a convergence point along different migration routes, where the landform tended to compress the animals in both the spring and autumn.”
“The structures in and around Drop 45, and the chipped stone debris for repairing stone tools, provide unambiguous evidence for intentional human construction and use of the feature. And they also provide important insight into the social and economic organization of the ancient hunters using this area,” Prof O’Shea concluded.

Snowy Owl and Shooting Star had been to visit the Shaman’s Cave before starting their climb to the Star Temple. He told them this was a special meeting of Sister Moon, Grandfather Sun and the Earth Mother and the message received would influence the next six Moon Cycles. He also told them when Sister Moon crossed the face of Grandfather Sun she would not cover it completely so a ring of fire would surround her. The sisters were disappointed when the Shaman told them they would not be able to visually see this because here in the North Country Grandfather Sun was in The Underworld when this meeting occurred. Still the young women secretly hoped the Winged One who was Snowy Owl’s guide would be waiting for them at the Star Temple and would lead them to the place where they would be able to see the ring of fire surrounding Sister Moon.
When they reached the entrance to the Star Temple there he was perched on a branch of the Standing One who guarded the sisters’ magic flying capes. Little Owl said “It is time to put on your feather capes and come fly with me. But I must tell you it is a long journey ahead.” Snowy Owl and Shooting Star did not mind how far the destination was as they were excited that they would be able to see the ring of fire rather than just imagine it.
Little Owl led them flying east across the great ocean, then across lands with many forests, mountains and lakes. He then headed south to the place the two leggeds in the far away time called down-under. It was here the sisters would be able to see the ring of fire. As the trio landed softly on a beach near another ocean Grandfather Sun was high in the daytime sky. Many Moons ago the Shaman had given the young women special filters to look through so the Sun would not damage their eyes. As they looked through the filters they saw Sister Moon beginning to cross the solar disc. When she was in the center of Grandfather Sun they saw the ring of fire surrounding her dark face. Snowy Owl and Shooting Star felt how powerful this event was.
Sister Moon spoke “This meeting of Grandfather Sun and I is to remind all two leggeds that for the next six Moon cycles the focus is on what is of true value and importance in their lives. In the far away time there is still much conflict between humans and the time for healing is now. The opportunity to break out of the box is still available and will be in the coming Moon cycles but all of the members of the planetary family are saying the time is now. Let each individual recognize what their authentic self is and live from that place so peace and harmony is achieved for all. Morning Star Venus is the guide at this Lunation. When the two leggeds embrace her gift of Universal Harmony they will feel Love and conflict will dissolve. Go now Snowy Owl and Shooting Star and share this message.”
As the sisters followed Little Owl back to the Star Temple their hearts were filled with Love For All That Is. They were ready to share the message.
I have noticed there is not much information available about this Solar Eclipse. Perhaps it is because it is an Annular Eclipse when the Moon is too far away from Earth and so does not completely cover the solar disc. That is what creates “the ring of fire” around her dark face. It may not be scientifically important (or so it seems) but it is spiritually important.
This New Moon Eclipse influences us until Oct 23, 2014. Taurus is the sign associated with self- worth, inner talents and resources, personal assets, and what is of true value. The key phrase for this earth sign is “I have” and the keyword is “stability”. But Taurus can also be very stubborn and hang onto things that are perceived as stability when they are actually blocks to empowerment and need to be released. So the theme for this Moon cycle is to identify what is of true value and importance in our lives and release what is not. This theme will be with us until October and will of course change the focus on what needs to be released with the next six New Moon cycles. It is time to clear out our closets physically, mentally, and emotionally so our spirits can be free.
The planetary ruler for this Taurus New Moon Eclipse is Venus at 25 degrees Pisces. She is in her exaltation and so offers us a harmonious influence. Venus rules self-love, our awareness of others, and creative imagination and expression. In Pisces she is the artist who sees the inner-connectiveness of all. She is travelling with the Asteroid Astraea, goddess of justice and balance, at 23 degrees Pisces and is sextile the Asteroid Hygeia, the goddess of health and healing, at 27 degrees Taurus. Venus is also trine (ease and flow) Saturn at 20 degrees Scorpio (transforming limitation and restriction). I would say the message is when healing occurs transformation happens and balance is restored. Venus in Pisces also asks us to connect with the Mystical and follow a spiritual path that allows us to share our Soul’s Gifts. We still have the Grand Cross configuration so the “breaking out of the box” theme continues. The players are Uranus in Aries (breaking through to the authentic self) Jupiter in Cancer (spiritual destiny path) Mars Rx in Libra (balanced relationships) and Pluto in Capricorn (transforming society).
This is the Frogs Return and Growing Time New Moon with Beaver, builder of the new as our guide. Beaver always knows when its current lodge has become too cluttered and swims downstream to create a new home. I am not saying you have to move but the symbolism is to clear out what no longer serves you. The Clan Mother for this Taurus New Moon is Listening Woman. She is the Guardian of the Stillness and seeking an answer in our Sacred Centre. The Stillness is the voice of inner truth. Listening Woman teaches us to Hear the Truth and walk the path of beauty with Grace. She also teaches us to listen to the messages from Creator, Great Mystery, and the Earth Mother. For more of this Clan Mother’s Medicine read her story in the 13 Original Clan Mothers or Earth Medicine, both by Jamie Sams.
Taurus is the Tarot Constellation of The Hierophant; the principle of Learning Lessons and Becoming the Wise Teacher. It is time for all of us to become Wisdom Keepers and teach others who are ready how to let go of the old and create the new. The Ray that is active with this New Moon is Fourth Ray; Harmony Through Conflict. It is the Ray of humanity and wherever we look in the world there continues to be conflict of some kind. The other expression of Fourth Ray is Harmony Through Beauty and Peace. Archangels Gabriel, Transformation and Resurrection, and Hope, Renewal, are here to support our journey of letting go what no longer serves us. As we each embrace our inner power we shine our spiritual lights out into the world. The Earth Mother and all her kingdoms need our light now more than ever.
The next six months will be an interesting journey. Just know when you are in your Sacred Center you have the power to handle whatever comes your way.
Blessings

New Moon with an annular solar eclipse, a narrow band that creates a ring of fire, is Tuesday, April 29 at 12:14 AM MDT (mountain daylight time).
This is the bookend to the first eclipse on the Full Moon this month that opened the portal to the intense time of transformation and opportunity. The new moon is a great time to evaluate where you are, what you have learned, what you have committed to, whom you are with, and where you are going. Hopefully the shake up of the last few weeks will have set you on a track that supports you and is aligned with spirit.
Don’t forget our Mp3 downloads this month that will greatly help you with staying aligned in the right way.

ASTROLOGICAL NOTES:
Taurus New Moon Solar Eclipse ~ 9º
Tuesday, April 29, 2014 12:14 AM Mountain Time
(Tuesday April 29, 6:14 AM Greenwich Mean Time)
Closing this eclipse period with Taurus Solar Eclipse New Moon, we gladly stretch our limbs and arch our backs while inhaling the fragrances of spring and taking in the many sensual gifts of the season. We have come through a major planetary alignment, been witness to some of our personal darker corners, yet also touched into some very higher-centered energies of inspiration, change and movement in new directions. Projects, gardens, relationships, adventures are springing into life. Taurus, the feminine, Earth power sign ruled by beautiful Venus, is a magnificent mentor for this time. After a time of rapid acceleration, we need to pull back and integrate, rest. Taurus’ goal is peace, and we get there by being, not doing.
Taurus is that fertile place inside all where we gestate new life. Let this time of huge growth spurt now take root inside you. Taurus takes that powerful, risk-taking initiation of Aries and grounds it firmly into practical manifestation. Benefit from Taurus’ enjoyment of the physical pleasures, of embodied experience. A fragrance enhanced massage, music, a meal cooked and shared with good company, anything that brings you and your body into contentment will be honoring of Taurus and Venus too.
Taurus folks have an earthy, connected relationship with plants, animals, and all of nature. They teach us how to build step by step, persevere, and be practical. Taurus is about having an abundance of self-love and self worth to fund gratitude and appreciation for the world as it is and to reach out and help others. Taurus has solid, unshakable values. What do you value above all else right now?
Taurus brings stability, common sense, and artistic skill and appreciation (thank you, Venus). The tender hearted, dependable and affectionate Taurus part of our self needs only be aware of the slide to stubbornness, over indulgent accumulation, inflexibility and stagnation. Resistance, in any form, will not serve us now. Reach for those frequencies of empowerment and love that have been opened to us for our healing and rebirth. We all are troubled by the corrupted energies we experience in legal, educational, medical, political areas. Resisting, complaining and railing against these forces is joining them. Working from the positive energies of your heart- cooperation, generosity, all shared energies – is what will change our world in the direction we desire.
Venus, ruler of the chart, is in Pisces. Venus is always about love, relationship, creating beauty and harmony, and with Pisces, our otherworldly abilities come to the fore. At times, she helps us imagine the world webbed in an interconnected dance, to feel the perfection of Spirit working through our lives, to see those struggling with love and compassion. There is a subtle, but compelling theme in this chart of learning to show up and actively create in the outer world (using masculine energy) while balancing our ability to remain open and receptive to magnetize and receive (using feminine energy) both inspiration and resources to continue creating. Adjustment and elimination of blocks may be called for to bring these parts of ourselves into smoother working order. (It’s Pallas Athena and North Node in a Finger of God formation with Venus at the apex.) We refine these skills for our evolutionary growth.
Look to those Piscean ruled ones this Moon for guidance – the imaginative ones, the artists, visionaries and those tempered by hardship who have come through stronger, wiser and more loving.
Yes, the Grand Cross has reached and passed its moment of exactness, but these large planets move slowly, so its influence will be ongoing and unfolding, and every time the Moon swings by one of those four corners of the squares in Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn, it will be activated again like plucking a string on an instrument and send vibrations out into your life. Pluto and Uranus square exactly twice more, in December and again spring, 2015.
Here is one of the best graphics I’ve seen of the Grand Cross and a picture is worth a thousand words:
The Solar eclipse at New Moon, though visible only in the south Indian Ocean, Australia and Antarctica, will culminate this rarified period of alignment creating a reset as the Sun’s light, energy, and magnetic field are temporarily suspended and allow for a new and refreshed alignment. Time to re-ground ourselves using Taurus’ stability and presence. Whether from garden or trail, field or mountain, put your feet on the ground or better yet, put your back on the Earth and root yourself deeply down to the core of Mother Earth and draw up her love, nourishment and support into your body and ask for her guidance for a vision of your future self.
Coming on May 1st/ or May 5th (15º Taurus) is Beltane, a Gaelic celebration of the midpoint of spring and summer. The night fires and colorful May poles are to bring dance, reveling, joy and the opening of our hearts to all the creative juices flowing upward and outward at springtime.
